Welcome to November y'all!! (No, that's not an error. It really is November. :)) I'm excited to be kicking off this month's art journaling challenges. For November, we are trying something a little different. Something that might be a little easier to do while getting ready for all the holidays coming soon. For the entire month, we will be exploring the idea of gratitude. Each week, we will provide you with seven different journaling prompts. You will choose one of those prompts and create a page inspired by the prompt.

Here are the journaling prompts for week one.
  • Pets
  • Something that makes you smile
  • Favorite food
  • An important person in your life
  • A talent you have
  • Favorite thing about the place you live
  • A favorite hobby
This month, you can choose to make one page each week or create one page that encompasses all four of your journaling prompts. Ona has created these templates that you can use to easily divide your page in to four parts. Thank you @wombat146!

I am going to go with the divided page. I've done this type of page before and I always love the way they turn out. No one is going to be surprised that my prompt of choice is pets.

Remember, for the art journaling challenges you can create any style of page. You get to decide what art journaling means to you. It can be a traditionally artsy page, clean and simple, pocket style, junk journal or something else. That is up to you. This would be a great challenge for including a photo of yourself on the page.

Everyone who participates in any of this month's challenges will be entered into a drawing for a $5 gift certificate to Oscraps. You can receive up to four entries into this month's drawing. Remember, you have all month to complete any or all of this month's challenges. If you create a divided page, you will still receive one entry for each week that you complete.

Challenge Rules:
  1. You have until 11:59 p.m. ET on November 30, 2023 to complete your pages for this challenge.
  2. To qualify for the drawing, you need to use 80% Oscraps products that are currently in the store (non-Oscraps products or retired O designer products can be used whether the designer is selling elsewhere or not).
  3. You need to credit all the products used on your page.
  4. You cannot use a page you create for this challenge for another Oscraps challenge.
  5. Upload your page to the Art Journal Gallery and then add your layout to the challenge thread. (Below you will find instructions on adding your page to this thread.)
I hope you enjoy working with this week's prompts. I can't wait to see what y'all create.

Adding a linked layout from the Gallery to a thread:
  1. Upload your layout to the gallery first. In your forum post click the Gallery Embed icon (little camera).
  2. This will open your gallery, simply click on the layout you require, then scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click the Continue button.
  3. Your linked layout is now in your post, the image will appear once you have clicked the Post Reply button.

Oh I love doing these types of layouts, it's like working on jig-saw puzzle, I love positioning everything so that my finished page ends up a cohesive page. Of course you don't have to do that, you could just have 4 separate little mini layouts on one page, no rules, I just like creating them as a whole. :)

I’m doing mine like that!

Not sure that this is the way the template was supposed to be used, but I loved it that way :) Thanks for the fun challenge, Cindy and awesome template, Ona!!
wow! love the way you have used it Anke! ♥ it's just basic shapes to divide a page into four seperate areas (vertically, horizontally diagonally or in fourths) ....... as you can see from the pages above, it can be used to just scrap just one weekly challenge in each section. It's a 'progressive' type way of creating a layout as it takes all month to actually complete the entire layout. :)

Hi Cindy. It's my first attempt to join the ArtJournaling-Challenge!
Pippi says: 'I have never tried that before, so I think I should definitely be able to do that.'
So .... there we go!

I don't have a pet, but I heart Winnie the Poeh. Here is my entrie for Week I:

Thanks for hosting this Challenge! Virginie
