We just heared that my sister in law went to the hospital.
She's pregnant with twins, 29wk + 4days.
The little ones actually have to stay inside 2,5 more weeks!

I'm worried!

I'll keep them in my prayers and I hope they will stay inside a bit longer!
They will all have a tough time ahead even if they stay inside a bit longer, I wish them all the strength they need!

Thanks ladies.
The docters gave her contraction 'blockers'? No clue if it's the correct word!
And an injection for the lungs for the babies.
Now they have to stay for 48hrs, and than it's oke to be born. The doctor said the lungs will be better after 48hrs because of the injection.
Ofcourse it's better if the babies won't be born this week or next. But we have to count on it they will be born befor this weekend..
The ultrasound shows that the babies are about 1200grams.

My SIL and BIL are very calm, and just see what will happen.

Yvin, when I was 32 weeks pg with Cait I went into labor too. 3 days in the hospital and then another 6 weeks on bed rest and I was able to keep her in until 38 weeks. Of course that was not twins, but it all worked out good for me. Hoping that the same is for her!!!

Thanks everybody!

The babies where born this morning, 5am.
2 girls!! 1200grams and 1300grams. The girls are breathing on their own! They are doing pretty good for time of pregnancy.

Oh wonderful news!!!!! Congrats sweetie! Can't wait to see pics of them. I have no idea of the weight conversion but the most important thing is the lungs, right?? Sounds like that is great!! Yay!!!!!!!!!

lOve the O!
Didn't see this till now- 29 weekers are micro premies, but given that they had the lung shots thats a good thing. I have worked with 28 weekers before and see more and more of them-praying for a non-eventful hospital stay. If these are her first, one of the difficulties first time parents tell me is that things didn't happen the way they imagined all through pregnancy and coming to accept that. Give her lots of hugs.

They have a son, he'll be 2yo in december. He was born 6wks early. So they know a littlebit. He had to stay in the hospital for 2wks ofcourse the girls will have to stay longer.
But I'm happy to hear they are doing pretty good.

I'm so glad they are doing well. Isn't modern medicine a miracle? My boy came in much the same way. Contraction blockers and the steroid shot for the lungs. I know those girls will fight and get stronger for your sister! Still sending them strong thoughts!

O so scrappy!
Oh a huge congrats that they made it through and now have good hands and eyes to tend to them. It sounds very positive that they are breathing on their own.
