today is national dog rescue dog day and as i know we have so many dog lovers here lets share photos or pages done in the oscraps gallery with our rescue dogs

I will start off with zoey who I rescued in feb 2019 over 1 year after cooper died. He was not a rescue dog but got him from a legit breeder.

Awwwwwm what awesome pictures and an awesome day, indeed. We rescued our last yellow lab, Sam, from a local rescue in Michigan and he then became a "Florida dog". He blessed us for many years and rescue animals never forget.

Here's two old layouts I created about Sam.

Such sweet babies!!! :heartpumplove: We rescued a dog several years ago...she actually was up for being put to sleep, last chance adoption, and this one couple who I would hope never adopts another dog (they are crazy), asked if we could watch her, and we ended up falling in love with her, and then Roxy became ours :lovey3: She is now living two houses over at my son's place...his girlfriend is in love with her...and her cats actually LOVE Roxy...my cats, not so much :giggle4:

I love this thread- nothing better than seeing happy puppy faces!!
All of my dogs have been rescues but Whisky was the most dramatic of them all.
Journaling:
When we first brought Whisky home, she was skin and bones. She looked like she could have been in a Humane Society ad. She was a stray, living in a shelter in LA when Hurricane Harvey hit the Gulf area. Because the situation was so dire for pets separated from their owners after the storm, many shelters were euthanizing cats and dogs who were not considered adoptable. Rescue organizations in the Ny/NJ/CT area were transporting as many of these animals up here. We were just planning on fostering this sweetie until she found her Forever Home. Well, She did, that very night we brought her into ours. :)
She was 28 lbs when we got her, a week later she was 34 lbs and 2 weeks after that, she is at 36 lbs and growing.

And now she is living her best life, 55 lbs and spoiled to no end.

Not really rescued but she had a strange person as caretaker, who didn't want her back. Such a sweety!
