quick update... her kidneys have completely shut down, so they are about to start a dialysis (sp?) procedure where they basically take the blood out and clean it up and then put it back in. the doctors say it's a huge risk at this point in her condition, but that it's as big of a risk to not do it. will's mom (who is a nurse) said they are starting it now and the procedure will take about 3 to 4 hours.

she's still not strong enough to have the cat scan to determine if she has any brain damage, i'm assuming that will be at least a few more days. they said to just focus on one thing at a time.

thanks again for everyone's thoughts and prayers. i'll probably be out of pocket for at least a few more days, but i'll be popping back in here to give updates as i get them. thank you all so much. xoxoxoxox

significant improvement today!! she's off of the ventilator and is pretty conscious and even managed to speak a few words! a miraculous turn around from even just last night. her kidneys are getting better by the day. still many complications to work through, the doctors say, but the fact that she's even awake is unbelievable!!! even the doctors are completely in awe that she made it through this. everyone of them has admitted that they really and truly did not expect her to make it. so we are all just thrilled. please pray for continued recovery. thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers thus far!!!

The power of prayer is so undeniable, and you have so many friends here that would help in any way! May I please ask her first name? I feel better being able to ask God to help a specific name if you don't mind! I'm glad she is doing better and I will pray for her to recover fully and quickly! Please keep us posted!
