Ooooooooh, many happy returns, Nana Linda, I hope you have a really super day, that the kids are nicely behaved, you get some you time, that someone else produces all your meals for you (and cleans them up afterwards) and you get to relax and enjoy your special day.

.....................DH told me last night to get me a NEW CAMERA!!! so I will not be wasting time on that!! HAHAHA!!! Who loves Nikkon and Who loves Canon?? Need to decide!!!!!!
as for celebrations....My Mom and Dad are taking us out for dinner tonight....so no dishes to clean up then :becky:

WooHoo! A CAMERA! That hubby of yours is a KEEPER!!! I have a Canon, but I've been very impressed with the Nikons as well. Best advice -- try them both out at Best Buy and see which one feels best to you!!

A new camera? AWESOME!! Everyone you talk to will love their camera brand best...it was recommended to me to go to the camera store and hold and play with the cameras to see what you are more comfortable with. I found out that Canons and NIkons do not compare equally. Each has something a little ahead and a little behind the other at each level of camera. I went into the store to find out I loved the Canons only to leave deciding on a Nikon...then I bought it from Cameta.com. They used to be an ebay store but not have their own website. They sell things in packages that come out to much less than other places. I ended up with an extra SD card and 2 extra batteries for the same price as getting it at Costco or wherever...plus it came with 2 lenses. Good luck!!! Let us know what you get.

Oh Nana it's such a tough call between Canon and Nikon. I think you are either on one team or the other and it depends on what you will be using it for. I was a Nikon (D40) girl then when I went to upgrade I bought a Canon (T3i). HATED that Canon and went back to the camera shop (we are lucky enough to have a real live camera shop here in Princeton) and talked to the owner again about what I wanted to do with my new Nikon (because I was set on going back to Nikon) but guess what? I left with a Canon (5d mark ii)! LOL!
My advice - if you can, go to a real live camera store, not a best buy or one of those places. A store where you can talk to someone about what you need, want to do with it, etc. It's a really expensive hobby but you can't put a price on memories

Very quiet evening for me last night.....that was nice....out to dinner with my parents tonight.....also very nice!!!
As for the camera.....I swear....I just do not know which way to go....
I have had mine now for a little over two years.....it's basically a BEGINNERS DSLR camera...which was super awesome for me to learn on....It's an Olympus e600...but I am wanting to move UP...I found out that I can carry my 50mm lens to either a Canon or a Nikkon with an adapter...because I paid a FORTUNE for that thing...and it's a wonderful lens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So as you can see I have not had any experience with Nikkon or Canon.....
SUZY why didn't you like the Ti3?? and ...uuuhhhmmm....Mark is a little too much for me....I want all the lenses as well....I MUST have the 300mm lens...that was what I was going to purchase next for this camera...but DH says I can get a whole new camera....I AIN'T ARGUING :laugh: Anyway......I need to know why you girls LOVE your camera.....I am doing all the research on the computer right now....but I agree with you Clara and Suzy...I need to go to a camera shop and PLAY.... we just don't have any around here...BOOOOOO!! they have all gone out of business!!!
My Dad keeps telling me not buy anything...I will inherit his Nikkon d90 one day....I told him to SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't want to inherit anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He thinks he is funny!!! I don't find that too funny myself!!! He bought his D90 when they first came out....

I bought a Nikon D70 last year and looooooooooooove it! would love to get a newie but finances aren't that good for the moment!!! this one will certainly do until I get a better one!!!! yippeee, you must be sooooooo excited!!!!
