Hello aArtists!

It’s time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes. The AnnaTeam selects a creative page or design concept from the Anna gallery as the ‘AnnaLift.’ Be inspired, create your own ‘AnnaLift,’ upload your page to the Anna gallery and include it here in this forum thread. Upload your page by Friday 06.10.22 by 8:00 pm EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift. ’ One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop.

HOW IT WORKS: On Saturday the AnnaTeam posts a creative concept from the Anna gallery as the ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Then enjoy artfully playing—there is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay.

Choose ONE idea to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. Be inspired, create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery, plus include it here in this forum thread. It would be great if you could link back to your page in the gallery too!

Anna’s products mix well with so many kits/designers and Anna welcomes you to include these with your Anna Products on your AnnaLift page.

If you’ve never challenged yourself to an AnnaLift—just do it!

If you’ve never posted or shared your AnnaLift—just do it!

If you have time to leave some love for someone in the gallery—do it too!
(Your kind words may inspire and encourage someone!)

Please post your art in this thread and link to the Anna Aspnes gallery to win the $5 giftcard.

Time by Betty Jo

In Time, by Betty Jo paints a landscape with her digital tools. The image dominates the space with a delicate watercolor effect. The city street leads into the frame using linear perspective. The buildings are warm tones of red, gold, and sepia. Touches of blue lead the eyes. A delicate script brushes the edges of the image. The title is accented by a line that loops and leads the into the painting. Splashed and spattered paint transition to a neutral ground. Betty Jo has created a gorgeous image to inspire our artistry.

Thank you, Betty Jo, for sharing your expressive and inspirational artistry.

• Capture a favorite destination or a dream spot . .
• Use a bold photo or an artsy effect . . .
• Blend the photo with a Clipping Mask or FotoBlendz. . .
• Use paint and splatters to transition the image. . .

Hi Betty Jo--I'm loving your stuff and feeling inspired to do an Anna Lift challenge. Got a question though--is this done from a photo turned into a sketch? If not how did you do it?
Thank you so much, Melissa, and it's wonderful that you're inspired to do an Anna Lift Challenge! I love, love, love Anna's challenges. Yes, this is created from a photo, and I processed it online using Deep Dream Generator. I started a thread last year that gives information about DDG. It is here if you'd like to take a look: https://oscraps.com/community/threads/deep-dream-generator.33271/

I used the sketch treatment on the pump house but it is no good for a pond. I used a different treatment, it's subtle but added to the saturation and gave it an interesting texture.

The pools of lilies remind me of an impressionist's painting!

Thanks for the challenge. I was inspired by Betty Jo's artistic photo effect and the old world look of her page.

Beautiful lift of the artsy effect and vintage feel!

Okay, I simply ADORE Betty Jo's work in Deep Dream Generator.
But I'm not so good at it. :( I don't really understand it.... Guess I
need a lot more time to play with it, and I only had 25 energy (?)
So this is what I came up with.

It's a start.
Thanks So Much for introducing this wonderful application!
Beautiful transition of color and figure!
