Amazon.com to buy stuff from??

We have it Downunder but I must say that I haven't used it a lot. Having said that though, I received a surprise gift card which I was able to redeem on Amazon and spent fair bit of time looking through all the stuff they have available. Two hours later and I finally ended up with new set of paintbrushes and a tube of Winsor & Newton Designers' Gouache paint in white. After using my gift card I only had to pay $4.45 yay!! :)

They say that the delivery will be before Christmas so will see if that happens! lol!!

Is it something you are all able to do in your little part of the world?

Do you or have you ever used Amazon to purchase anything?

We use Amazon all the time! I order everything from there. We have Amazon prime (free 2 day delivery) so we have deliveries coming in multiple times a week typically with more than one person ordering

Hopefully they don't get stolen like some of the videos I have watched on Youtube............. some of those low lifers even follow the courier to go and pinch stuff after it is dropped off!! :(

Mine is free delivery as well. :)

I use amazon all the time... More and more as things become less available in the stores... needed some tiny round batteries, went to 5 local stores, finally my daughter said, why not amazon I actually had not thought of it.. so 3 of the batteries on one card would have been 5.97 at Walmart if they had been in stock... got a dozen for $5 on amazon!!!!

I've ordered from amazon.co.uk a couple of times, when I've wanted a DVD or something that hasn't been available in Sweden. I think it's about a year ago when they launched the Swedish Amazon. I've ordered from them once - I wanted a tofu press, and they where cheapest.

Other than that - not much really. I'm not that impressed by Amazon. The Grinch doesn't like it. LOL

(I'm really channelling The Grinch ... He's taking over me completely!)

we used Amazon Prime before the pandemic all of the time. We live sort of far from most shopping, at least by New Jersey's standards. My town doesn't have much to offer other than pizza and beer. We use it non-stop at the moment. A little tip if you haven't tried this-- if you don't need something in the regular Prime shipping times, used the feature where you can get promo credits, they add up. Just with my Christmas shopping, I have been able to save up almost $10 to buy an e-book or music. They expire sort of quickly but it is nice to feel like you are getting something as a treat

We also use it all the time! The kids even get things delivered to school. Love my Kindle Unlimited subscription, too. I've read 53 books so far this year - makes my subscription (which I renew when they have a sale) worth it.

we never buy there, but seeing how many people buy there, I should consider it, or maybe not, not so good for the wallet

I've been a Prime Member for many, many years. I hate giving them more money, but doggone it, I'm miserably hooked by now. We now live in a very rural area and things are hard to get.

the first thing i bought from Amazon was my kindle ... years ago ...
my husband bought many CDs @ amazon use ... he is a lover of blues music ... and in the physical stores in Belgium he did not find what he wanted .. .
At the beginning of the pandemic, Amazon usa no longer wanted to deliver to Belgium ... Fortunately we had a solution - We were able to have it delivered to my daughter-in-law's sister - who lives in Louisiana.
Since the first lockdown, we have been buying toys for the grandchildren from amazon nl.

Not a prime member, but started with Amazon in the early days when it was just books. They even sent promo gifts in those days. Now I use it lots. DH even got a lawnmower that way!

100% an Amazon fan. We have used it a lot for years but since the pandemic, we never go to Target or the mall. We just get it through Amazon! And I am a big fan of getting books for my Kindle that way!

I use Amazon.de for things that aren't available with the Dutch version of Amazon (BOl.com a online shop I'm addicted to) to buy some tarot cards but Amazon.nl isn't quite up to it.
I have a Kindle app on my smartphone, sometimes I download something

OMG, I use amazon for everything. My kids like the izze drinks so I have a subscription that arrives every 2 weeks for their school lunches. Most of my shopping, I double check Amazon for better pricing or same pricing but free shipping. I should really buy stock in Amazon.

My standard gift that I ask for every year is amazon gift cards. I save the gift cards to buy books for my kindle and then just do my regular amazon shopping with my own money lol I need to watch for the Kindle Unlimited sale and use some of my saved gift card to buy that!!!!!!

Oh that is a good idea Vicki, about asking for gift cards when you are asked what you want. Will need to remember that!!!! :)

woohooo, it's currently Sunday evening Dowunder and I just received notification that my Amazon order has been dispatched! Let's see if it gets here before Dec 13th! If it does then I think Amazon should take over Australia Post!!! :)

LOL- the worst deliveries are things for my pets. the FedEx driver hates me. He drops them at the front of my house because they are so heavy. But Amazon deliveries are always careful where they tuck in the packages.

i have amazon prime - actually of late been watching some tv from there and last couple of months the prime gaming has had some good titles. dont buy products that often but without it it would take forever to deliver.

will be getting zoey her xmas present thru amazon - bought it last couple of years - a giant size deer antler. for the same price at a store you would get one half the size.

I pinch pennies all year long to make sure I can pay for Amazon Prime. It pays for itself in just a couple of months with the free delivery and great prices and huge inventory. We live in a rural area, too, and it's cheaper to have Prime than to drive 100 miles round trip for shopping.

And I love my Kindle and Kindle Unlimited. For those of you that have Kindles, you really should look into Book Bub. I get a daily email book list tailored to my reading tastes with super low cost books for Kindle, many free. I have over 2000 books on my Kindle and most were free. Now that I've finished my masters I have time to read and do so every day. I often read 100 books a year. Amazon to the rescue since I've read our little public library nearly dry!

We use amazon all the time. With prime we get most deliveries within a day or two. I price check online with a few local shops but often amazon is close to the price and I don't have to worry about going to pick it up and dealing with crowds.
