Day 7- Redo a Layout | CHALLENGE

My original page

my redo

Beautiful Redo! The spattering of brush work and graffiti looks great as the new backdrop. Emphasizing the beautiful blossom in the circle frame is super creative. Wonderfully done! Thank you for participating in our challenge today.

I decided to remake this old layout from 2011:

and here's a new version:
Love the more subdued colors in your new layout, and the whimsical hand drawn frames are the perfect touch. Thank you for participating in today's Redo Challenge!

I think the hardest part for me was what to re-do. I dont re-do things :giggle4: And most things I post here are challenge LO and do you re-do a challenge? Yep cause I never liked how it turned out. One of my very first challenge attempts and it was "artistic" which you can see didn't go well :giggle4: Later tonight I will fix it. My first ever re-do.

This is a cool poem, and you did a great job emulating the feel of it in your layout. Can't wait to see how your redo turns out!

Here is my original
Here is the new one. I wanted to add some more paper blending in the background and journaling.
I love how you exposed more of the photo in your redo. The addition of the faded plaid in the background and the festive background really elevates this to holiday status! Wonderfully done. Thank you for joining us today with the Redo Challenge!

I loved this collection and my picture, but I thought my layered photo was a bit too far from the rest of the elements.

My redo:
Bringing everything into alignment looks fantastic! I love that you maintained so much of the original, and with just minor adjustments made something you love. Looks wonderful. Thank you for joining in on our challenge today!

Here is my before - the first layout I posted here:

and the redo:
Your original is pretty fantastic - amazing work for a first posting!! Your new layout is equally amazing. The color palette is wonderful with your B&W version of your photo, and all the bits and marks bring a nice energy, along with the subtle tilt on your journaling. I love this. Thank you for joining in on the Redo Challenge today!

Thanks for the challenge. I picked a page from ten years ago, and tried to choose photos for a similar theme of documenting a trip with the same type of things I've always loved and things that haven't changed.

I don't worry about the page gutter like I did back then. It still matters but I just don't care. The only photo of the Jeep in December happens to show the oxygen machine, and that's a symbol of one of the major changes from ten years ago. It changes where we go and a lot more. :p
I love how your style has polished and finessed over the years. It's fun for me to see your early pages from 10 years ago. I love your style, and the depth and life you bring to your photos. Thank you for joining in on the Redo Challenge this weekend!

This is the reult
So pretty. I love how you brought everything in line to create the horizontal dimension. Everything is so nicely cohesive. Thank you for participating in our challenge today!

This page is the first one I've posted in the Oscrap gallery. It was made in 2010 and it is my gift to little boy Arseny.

This is again my gift to Arseny, who is now 20 years old. These 14 years have flown by so fast!

I really love both these pages. The energy and background on the first one is perfect for your son at a young age - the second; a little more sophisticated and mysterious, as would be a young man coming of age. Really nice. Thank you for joining our Redo Challenge today!

Thanks for the Challenge!!

This is the layout that I chose to redo:

So fun! Both are so delightfully whimsical! I love the constant of the train and the word art, and how you wove it all into a beautiful new scene. Thank you for joining our challenge today!

https://oscraps.com/community/media/b57_jinglemingle3advent2024byoscraps1000-jpg.402195/I redo this page with photo of my granddaughter who was only 3 years old, and in spring. This time, she is 11 years old, and it is in winter (photo from the end of November 2024). I wanted to resume the construction of the page a little

and my new layout (all credits on my gallery)
This is a wonderful way to progress your theme! Both layouts are super special! Now you need a similar fall and spring layout of your granddaughter. Your winter colors and clustering are gorgeous, and your photo is delightful. Thank you for joining in on our challenge today!

I actually liked my first on but I just chose my very first layout posted here at Oscraps and decided to give an entirely different makeover with the last kit I purchased!

I did this back in 2010 and it just doesn't seem to be all it could.

This is my redo, much more in my current style.

Thank you for the challenge. Here's my original page

and this is my new version

I love your old layout, but the new one I love even more! Love the energy, the added photos to tell more of the story. And the photo with the red jacket adds a new focal point that is such a nice contrast to the greens and tans. Beautifully done! Thank you for participating in our challenge this weekend!

Here is the new layout.

The feel of the poem just emanates from your layout. The layers of the sun behind the leafless bush with just the bits of new growth portray the vision of the poem perfectly. Thank you for joining in on our Redo Challenge this weekend!

The kitty in your first layout is so mysterious peeking through - and the way you captured the deer peering through the trees looks magical. Love the layering of all the papers. So creative. Thank you for joining in on our challenge today!

It was such a fun challenge, thank you!

My original layout:

My redo:
Well both are beautiful! The focal point of the redo with the beautiful bow and the surrounding white space looks so elegant and classy. Thank you for joining in on the Redo Challenge!

I did this back in 2010 and it just doesn't seem to be all it could.

This is my redo, much more in my current style.

This is gorgeous~ The background is beautiful, and the minimal elements and the starkness of the wheat stems is perfect for your theme. Wonderfully done. Just look how your style has finessed over the last 14 years! Thank you for joining in on our challenge this weekend!

I always loved this layout but I felt the photo got lost in the page and the photo is what I most cherish. My sweet grandson meeting Santa. I also wanted to change out the dark flower in the corner of the frame for something more bright and cheerful. And I also added a line of journaling. Years from now, I want people to know who that sweet baby is. Thanks for the inspiration to redo a page.
