Good morning everybody, today is such a busy day, woke up much too late, its 10am and so only 3 hours left, to pack, wash the dishes, make some adds for my shopowner, oh i forgot cooking, ok stressy, so sry I cant answer everybody, have to leave in some minutes

im not sure if i will have internet there, maybe some minutes a day to look what goin up here. I will be back on Sunday Evening (your time - afternoon)

Good morning to everyone else as well, hope you all have a terrifice Friday.....mine is just about finished.......it is 7.33pm downunder and I am sipping on a vodka and coke that DH just made me!!! gosh! its super strong too so my apologies if the spelling gets a bit erratic!! when I finish typing this we are sitting down to watch a DVD in front of fire!! its still blowing a gale outside and quite cold so I am glad to be snugged up tight!! No big plans for the weekend, have had a bad week with sinus probs. and after our epic trip up to Queensland on Wednesday I think I will just stay put and maybe do some gardening if the wind lets up!! ok my loverlies, I'm off to canoodle with my MG !! Good morning my sweet O Friends!! Hi Corneilia and Ona!!

Cornelia...have a fabulous trip!! Nothing like waiting til last minute to leave...I ALWAYS DO!! LOL...It wouldn't be a great trip if you got it all done in advance and didn't have the RUSH RUSH RUSH thing going on!! So glad you guys are safe (from the fire yesterday)...YIKES!!!!

Ona....A FIRE....WOW!!! It's 95 here everyday...we have a "natural flame of heat" going on here!! ENJOY your weekend...

Well...DH is home today...he wasn't suppose to be...UPS doesn't give the day off if 4th falls on a Sat...ridiculous!! If it's on Sunday...they are off on Monday...what sense does that make....but he told them he wanted off for today if they could arrange it. It all worked out and he's off for 10 days now. Today, we are going to get some work done around the house...go to DD's and help them get Cameran's swingset set up..(DH will be doing that and I am going to finish painting)...Jesse is coming tonight to spend the night, and we are taking him to the zoo tomorrow, then DD is bringing Jaiden and both of them will spend the night tomorrow night, a small cookout at Mom's tomorrow evening. Sunday...get ready to leave on Monday! Nothing big...just a tad busy!

Tali...HI Sweetie...I am really hoping you say your headache is gone today!! my DD had them for days like that too...when she was a child it was only for a few hours...she would throw up and go to bed...then next morning it was like it never happened. But as she got older it got worse..She came home from school almost everyday for three months when she was a Senior in HS...We have TONS of state parks close to us and I know how busy they are this time of year (this Date Esp.) Sorry your DH is working so long. Hope you get to go see the fireworks!!

Sandra...guess you won't see this...but hoping you have a great trip!!

Sally...well I must say...your pic was the most patriotic I know of...FABULOUS!!

LindaP...Wow...a class that's doesn't exist...the kids will love it...no work..now homework..no grades...no going to school!! Ooohh..would love to see pics of your remodel! I love to see Before/After photos...I am such a DIY lover and anything on home improvement!! The fireworks sound great...must be nice they can hire people to do it for them!!

CHRIS....sweetie...I hope you had a better day yesterdaY!! I am super excited about having my order when I get back...YAY!! I don't treat myself to products like that very often at all!! So Yay for me!!

hello my O-Fam
I might be typing as crazy as Ona but not b/c of anything fun like a Vodka and Coke :lol:
It is a bit after 7:30 am, and I have been up since 5 am. Why?? well, lets see... at 5 am, a bear came into my front yard, waking up my dogs, who barked their heads off at the bear who promptly ran away.
Then a few minutes later, I hear my two kids and a friend of Scott's (staying over last night) outside. Being loud.
I called Caitlyn over and told them they needed to get back inside. The dogs keep whining now that they are up, the cat keeps walking all over my face b/c she wants to get out of the bedroom... and so I get into the shower and start my day. With coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.
So the kids haven't slept at all. My son is going to be a total crank in a bit. And Caitlyn.. well she said that she slept for a few hours... hope that was enough.

So here it is Friday! yay! And a lot of people in the US have today off for the 4th of July weekend. Hope that everyone has a safe and happy one!

Cornelia- if you see this- I hope that you have a wonderful time away, we'll see you when you get back.

Ona- you make the cold sound so romantic. A fire, DVD and canoodling!

LindaW-- yes I'd say that is a busy weekend. But I see most of it involves your g-kids, so I know it is going to be a great one for you!!

Dawn- whew- I thought I was going to have to come out and make you get your meds LOL xoxo to your dh! I admire you for your stubborness I used to be the same, couldn't accept a dime from anyone...until now and we are in debt to family up to our ears. But-- I am so very very very grateful that I have family that can help us out at this time and not make me feel any worse about not being able to pay back at a certain time.
Oh and I might look like a teen in my braces as long as you ignore the bags under my eyes LOLOL!
Davy! No temper tantrums! (he's so cuuute!)

LindaW -- we have quiet plans this weekend. My IL's might come up tomorrow for dinner but they said they would bring the food ! And Sunday we are going to go down to my bro's for a small BBQ. Hopefully Gary will feel ok. If not, I am going to take the kids by myself.

LindaP- that sheduling sounds horrendous! Hope it gets easier for you all. Enjoy the fireworks!

Sara- if you go into you Contol Panel and then edit options, you can scroll down to Thread Options and choose "show 40 posts per page" That is how I have it set up and I get way few pages to show.

Book discussion:
My Sister's keeper- oh that was so good. I love Jodie P. Yes, her books are very emotional. I know it going into reading them. I have to stagger them out, can't read them back to back or it gets to be too much. If you liked My Sister's Keeper, read Handle with Care, you'll love it too. 19 Minutes was also amazing.
Right now, I am reading the Sookie Stackhouse Series- on book three. I re-read all of the HP's a month or so ago. I want to reread Twilight but I lent out book one.
I usually love Nora Roberts, but was very disappointed with her first book of the "Brides" series.
Oh and I just finsihed The Scandal Plan- funny if you like political satire
Sally- I'll have to look into those books too, thanks for the recommendations.

Tali sweetie- you have just had it soooo rough recently. I wish I could help in some way.

Dawn- yes, this group, the O-Family, is just awesome, I love all of them to pieces! It feels weird when I can't start my day in the Daily ooo's. Have agreat day with the kids!

Sally and Dawn- LOL- I have a hard enough time keeping track of my kids meds- I know I posted their med schedules here at one point and it made everyone's head spin. I know it makes mine spin (maybe that is why I have been so nauseous? LOL)

There is an 800 lb male (which is unusually large) that lives somewhere in the woods behind us. We see him on occasion. Last year at Cait's b-day when my family was up, he was in the yard next door. My poor family was freaking- they had never seen one so big!

Oh wow he is big!! DH has some bear pics from his hunting club...he puts up a deer feeder every year..and this bear takes it out for him EVERY year!! so he bought a couple of those Deer Cams...and put them up...he's pretty big..not as big as your bear!! But my fav pic was Mama bear with her baby cub!!

Chris - Goodness, 5 a.m. and a bear....crazy. I saw you using WeReads on FB and thought...oh...i don't need yet another thing to become addicted to. =) 40 posts per page huh....i'll have to try that and see if i like it. Now I know how you get everyone in all the time!

Well, it's a quiet day so far. We all slept in...Ben's still sleeping in fact. And I just have to pick up a bit and go to lunch and a little shopping with my SIL. She's preggo with twins and is need of maternity clothes, but wants to only shop at Target and Walmart. I told her I'd take her to Motherhood and get her some essentials.

And I have to make my dessert for the big parade and lunch tomorrow out at DH's grandparents' farm. But Murphy's law states that you must go to the grocery store at LEAST twice for ingredients you forget. So I need to stop at the store for Cool Whip. =)

It's supposed to rain most of the day here today. It looks like rain in the morning tomorrow, so I hope it clears out before the parade. I don't think I ever remember a year where the parade has been rained out and I've been with DH for 15 years.

Well...I'm off to rustle up some DoubleShot, bacon, and fruit for breakfast. Have a great day people! And sweet dreams Ona! Hope the vodka and coke (or whatever it was) didn't give you funny dreams. =)

Chris-I would love to be able to see bears!!!! Course, maybe not quite that early .I'd be taking pics all the time . I do of the deer around here...and the coons...and possums...etc.... However, we definitely don't need another animal in our trash hehe. There have been some black bear sighted about 100 miles from us though...they are headed our way, who knows why unless it's cause of the lakes, there are no mtns, only a few hills. Um, as you can see I haven't actually started cleaning yet hahaha. I was up at 1:30-3:30am cause of my reflux so I am kind of drowsy this morning . Course I have 3 whole days to do it, right? hahaha
Don't you hate when you get woke up like that and then everything works against you going back to sleep?! grrrr. Hope you have a great day sleepyhead!

Good morning!! I am procrastinating. I need toget up and moving and bake a couple of things for this weekend. I woke up super early for me, which stinks because I didn't need to. DH did too, but he's up and moving and running some errands. The kids went to be pretty late last night whick means Ethan wakes up early and Addie sleeps late. Go figure. I don't know why I woke up early. That is not like me. Oh well.

So...I'm going to leave some love and then get moving. Blech!!

Cornelia - I hope you have a fantastic trip this weekend and that you get some alone time with the family help with Amelie.

Ona - vodka and coke?? Although an evening drink sounds nice vodka and coke has never been my thing. I hope you had a nice and very pleasant evening in front of t he fire.

LindaW - busy busy girl. I hope you have some time to enjoy your weekend and not just getting ready for your trip. Thanks for getting to me about my sis. I tried to explain things to her but I don't think she wants to hear it. I think she only wants to hear that I am making a change because it bothers her. I love my sis but she has been in a major funk for quite awhile lately making her not th emost enjoyable person to be around. She's gotten bossy, irritated and just not her old happy-go-lucky self. I know it is because her life is not where she pictured it as far as relationships go...she wants to be married and having babies but currently has no prospects. It sucks for her but she's getting quite unenjoyable in a lot of ways. It is very sad.

Chris - a bear in your front yard?? Wow!!! I can't even imagine. My BIL&SIL live in AK and they see bears at their house all the time. It freaks out my FIL. He thinks that a bear is going to eat his grandson and is always sending them bear stuff, even buying them a gun...of course it wasn't the gun my bil wanted, it was the biggest pistol he could find, which of course was stainless steel, which rusts up there. My FIL means well, but he is so stubburn and doesn't listen worth a d***!! So, the gun ended up in my closet for the longest time. My BIL also has a dog that will bark and scare it off and I am sure would attack the bear before the bear got anywhere close to them. They have an awesome dog.

Sara - That is awesome that you are helping your SIL. There is nothing at Walmart and Target for maternity. You should see where the nearest Old navy with maternity clothes is at. It might be a little less expensive than Motherhood...although Motherhood is great to get a few good pairs of pants and some bras. I hope the rain goes away for you parade.

Dawn - Hi!! I haven't planned my bungee jump yet. That will be next year and my brother is planning it. Hopefully, I just have to get in my car and show up. That would be the best. It will be a blast when we go. Here is the website. It looks awesome. http://www.wildplayparks.com/

Oh Chris - an 800# black bear! Mr. Wonderful would LOVE to come hunting in your yard! We don't have bears of any type in this part of the world. It's a dream of his to do a bear hunt sometime.

It's Friday! and it's Raining, again No garden or yard work for me today They really changed the forcast over night. Yesterday they were saying 20% chance of rain for today. This morning they say 80% chance of rain.
We helped some friends move their hot tub yesterday afternoon from their old house to their new house. It turned into quite a back yard party. We grilled out and visited till about 11 p.m. We worked on playing match maker for one of the guys that came over to help with the heavy lifting. He is simply the nicest man I've ever met. And CUTE!!! We really need to find him a good woman so we can add another couple to our crowd. I think it's hard to be the only single person hanging out with our group.
I have to go back and re read everything now for personals. Hope you all have a fabulous day!

Oooh, pretzle strawberry rhubarb crumble! That sounds fabulous! I have four huge rhubarb plants that I've been using the heck out of this spring and summer. Just love rhubarb! I need to get some jam made - it might be a perfect day for that.....

Oh my gosh, I missed so much! I was going to come back on Wednesday and check back, but then my mother in law called to tell me that my sister in law had her baby. I already knew that, as she had a planned c-section. But then we started talking about babies and birth and I felt like I had to tell her that I am pregnant. I was going to wait until we go to visit them at the end of the month, but I kind of felt like I'd be lying by omission if I didn't. Anyway, after I (finally) got off the phone with her, everybody else in the world called me. Serioiusly, you tell anything to anyone in that family, and everybody else will know it within 24 hours. LOL

So then yesterday, Jenny's occupational therapist and caseworker came by. In case you don't know, Jen's got a developmental disorder that we have not been able to diagnose. She's really really high functioning, but her speech and communication are delayed, and she has some sensory issues. She's doing great, really coming along. But we have a few more hurtles to cross. We'll get there. Hopefully, before the baby comes! Anyway, she had a trunkfull of vegetables her husband grew, and I scored a bunch of tomatoes, summer and winter squash, cabbage and cucumbers. I adore fresh produce!! So I spent the rest of the day preparing it to keep, and then I did another LO with Danielly Youngs cool Amate kit.

Anyway, here I am! Watching Gilmore Girls and trying to decide what I want to scrap with next. But first I'm gonna go through the posts and see what everybody's up to.

Corneila - have fun! I dont' know when you'll read this, maybe not till you get back. We were in Germany about 3 years ago. Also, my step father is Dutch, and has relatives in Holland so we have visited Europe quite a few times, and have visited Germany many times when we were there, since it is so close by. Also, Belgium, France and Luxembourg. I hope to get back there again someday!

Ona- hope you had fun with your MG and had an extra drink for me! A fire in a storm sounds heavenly.

Linda- How great that DH is off! I hope you guys have an awesome time! Hope the swingset went up easily. Sounds like one of those things that could get tricky!

Chirs- a BEAR, holy toledo! My mom sometimes gets bears where they live in the mountains in California. Very rarely tho. Ususally they don't see the bears, just the evidence they leave behind. HOpe you weren't too worn out and the kids weren't too cranky. Yikes, cranky kids is one of the worst things! And heaven forbid you say, "Oh, you are just sleepy and cranky" because... well, that's kind of like telling a woman she's just emotional because she has PMS, or is pregnant for that matter. LOL BTW I still need to email you about scents! Do you have white ginger?

Clara- Skydiving, bungee jumping. What's next, base diving? Spelunking? LOL have fun! Sounds awesome! And yeah, you'll probably end up at Bragg someday, most everybody does. It's not so bad.

Sara- My fingers are crossed for your parade tomorrow! Also, I totally know what you mean about forgetting things at the store. I often forget the thing I was initially going to the store to get.

LindaP- three cheers for your new cute helpful friend! LOL. Doesn't hurt to look, right? Sounds like you had fun. I miss having close friends nearby. Oh, and BOO on the rain!

From februari until end juni there are Courgettes (zuchinni/squash.. Don't know the exact english word)
And now these plants are gone. And next week we have to put new Tomatoes on the vine plants inthere.
I'm so excited! I loveeee tomatoes! :lol:

I've never seen a reall bear in the wild.
lol In the netherlands, the biggest 'wild' animal I've seen in the woods is a deer :roll: 1 time I saw a fox. And ofcourse lots of squirrels...

Well, I've got a little time to goof off here. sorta...I need to be ironing my clothes for tonight. Cora is performing her Cinderella Musical (Rogers and Hammerstein - like the one Brandi did on TV a while ago as opposed to the Disney version). I LOVE the music in this one. She doesn't have a big part, but she is loving it none-the-less.

okay...I need to go and iron...I love ironing, btw. but just in little snippets.
