Okay...I don't know about everywhere else but around here the new trend is coffee stands with girls wearing bikinis making coffee. Now remember, here in WA not only do we have Starbucks across the street from each other or in the same shopping complex but we also have coffee stands on every corner. So, I knew that there were a few of these coffee stands around which is fine. I don't really care what they wear to make coffee but now these stands are everywhere. The town I live in has at least 2 and my sister, who lives an hour north of me has 3 within a mile of her house. I know some people are addicted to coffee and others to women but both in one place seems excessive. Coffee seems like a harmless addiction that you can generally get away with but now they've added half naked women to the mix. I'm just not sure what else they are going to think of next.

Not to mention Western Washington is cold and rainy a lot of the year. Crazy people!!
 
UGGGHHH!!! I swear there are times I just wish things were simple again...coffee was coffee, not 4 thousand choices and hello..half naked girls...WHY WOULD YOU NEED THAT FOR YOUR COFFEE!!! :):)
 
jeepers! I have never even heard of such a thing! could be partly because where I live it snowed today! girlies in bikini's here selling coffee would be awfully chilly kwim?
 
I would be more concerned about spillage!! Eeek, would that not be a health and safety concern???

And yeah, eeewww....... why would you need that for coffee?

Please please pleeeaaasee don't *ever* let McDonald's /BK/KFC etc ever go for this...... I get burned bad enough frying bacon in a t-shirt!
 
I know...it's just crazy. They have one of these places in the parking lot of my son's taekwondo class/afterschool care. I guess he can learn anatomy or something?!?! I think these bikini baristas totally take away from Hooters and they wear less clothing. The ones by the TKD class wear T-shirts and boy briefs at least. There's a place called Cowgirls by the airforce base where they have themed days and they get quite creative and risque. I guess a coffee stand on every corner just isn't enough these days.
 
Chris - what do you mean you don't want your hamburger served from a girl wearing almost no clothes??
 
I don't know what I think about this. I'm pretty liberal, so for the most part, if someone wants their coffee served by a chick in a bikini, it doesn't bother me. People do what they want. And part of me also thinks - well - if you go to the beach you're going to see the same thing. In this economy a business is going to do whatever it can to draw in customers, I guess.

The only thing that bothers me is the location. I really wish they would keep them away from schools, places like your son's Tae Kwon Do classes, that kind of thing.
 
I haven't ever seen a coffee place like that. I think I live in a pretty conservative place. There is a snow cone stand by my house where the girls always wear bikinis in the summer. Seems like there's usually a fairly long line of boys waiting for snow cones. lol :wink:

I'm such a coffee freak that I'll take it anyway you want to serve it to me. haha:p
 
I know, right? Hot guys would be a whole different story.

I'm really not a prude. Don't get me wrong. I just can't get over the sheer volume of the amount of places these are popping up. I'm all about having a gimick but it is spreading like wildfire. I guess when you have a coffee stand on every corner you have to do something to make yours special.

Hooters is NOT just a restaurant!! LOL!!
 
What a bizarre concept Clara! :confused: Downunder here in Ozland I haven't heard of anything like that but hey! as it seems we tend to follow trends from USA it might only be a matter of time before we see it happening here! I am with Tali in a sense that it doesn't worry me about what other people want to do but I agree with Laura about not wanting to personally see boobs in my coffee either !! :) We have a local pub that has topless barmaids serving every Thursday night which is a great hit with the apprentices that attend our training centre! LOL! Some of these young men are from the country so don't get to see this type of entertainment, when I sometimes have to train them on a Friday morning the discussions at morning coffee breaks are always interesting!! LOL! Maybe the bikini clad girls serving coffees might also be a hit with them!!
