I like Valentine's Day! I make a card for my DH, either digital or my artwork, and it pleases him (and later he puts them in a bird book to save.) Two years ago I was in the hospital on 2/14 and he brought me an orchid (actually couldn't wait, brought it the 13th.) He cares for it now and it...
Just a quick HI from me. Had a genealogical committee meeting this morning and we're sponsoring a program on Civil War research in a few minutes. All via Zoom of course. We have a few inches of snow but it is sunny and cold, going to be colder. So good to see you all again.
Chris, big hugs for all your family went through for R! So glad you have that sense of humor. We all need to hear it.
I have to say though that the only part of the O I really missed was this part.
I've got to go as I'm picking up artwork I had in a holiday market and forgot to pickup on time...
Well darn that the O will be closed tomorrow and until the upgrade is done. I will be doing my computer genealogy group tomorrow anyway, so during that time I won't miss it, but still. Amazingly my DH has an appt for the vax on Monday (after H&S). It wasn't easy or quick, but he did it. I'm not...
We had a nice time birding on Tuesday even though it was very cloudy. I even scrapped a photo from it: https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=441077&title=a-day-in-january&cat=all. Of course it was sunny and a bit warmer yesterday when I had one genealogy session in the morning...
The weather sure could have been better but we had a nice day out birding and did see many interesting birds, though not in many places. Like this photo of DH too.

Just a quick note. We had a wonderfully sunny day Saturday though I had two different online meetings and could only partly enjoy. Today was at one time predicted to be sunny but isn't, still we're going birding. Wishing you all a good day with or without the sunshine.
Chris, that is wild! Thanks for sharing.
Related only because it's music and funny here's one (of MANY) from the wonderful the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain. Here is the link to Orange Blossom Special. They are great musicians and very funny.

January 1st was gray with just above freezing rain starting before noon but there was a nice little flurry of bird activity in our yard before the rain so I got to see a few birds for the first day of 2021.

I know for some of you it's already a new year, but we have a few hours to go. Hope you'll all have a better year!
Felis, I don't think I'll do a project 52 or anything similar for 2021, but I can't rule it out. I got a coupon for a free 20-page book and decided to but together LOs from 2020...
I feel the need to return to a word of the year for 2021 and hope I've found a good one for me.

Christmas Eve it started really snowing leaving us with a new 15" of snow! And last night it was only 16*. But we weren't going anywhere so it didn't matter. We had a lovely day and now I'm doing a load of :washing: as I gave DH a shirt that needs washing before wearing. Also have a loaf of...
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas in whatever form it has to take this year. And Hoping things will be better in 2021.
I still have things undone but maybe it won't matter too much. DH and I wrap gifts to each other tonight and then want to sleep quick to be up Christmas morning to open...
Everyone must be busy today. It's been gray but snow pretty much gone. A really nice event was the youngish couple behind us came around this afternoon dropping off little gift boxes of candies from our local chocolatier. We had decided in the summer that the wife was pregnant and now it's quite...
