For our last day we left at 6:50 am to allow an hour to get to Porcupine Rim East Trailhead by sunrise, but it took twenty minutes. We wanted to finish the loop we started on Monday. We had the road to ourselves. Remember the deep snow on our long side trip to the Porcupine CG.
I went to see your morning adventure on the map. Wonderful place to explore and I would love to be there too. I'm glad I can get the flavor of it from photos on Google maps. Luckily we can travel the world now on our laptops. ;)
I removed the journal text for this version and insured the border is 90% of the page height for the Border Challenge. It won't get printed but it's nice to see how a strong design can take a tweak here and there.
We left the hotel just before seven and got to the CANY visitor center in just under 45 minutes. Our timing was perfect and we watched the sun come up over the buttes. We drove to the next overlook and took a hike we'd never taken. It led us out to a point to look down on Shafer Trail.
They are so wonderful! I'm glad you're able to use your treasured wool this way. Each one takes on extra personality so the wool is especially well spent. Also love the paper snowflakes.
