We got to Arches right at 8am and the sun showed up in a cloudy sky soon after. We had planned to wait to leave because the sky was so gray, then remember how the sky suddenly turned pink and we picked up our game. We didn't stay too long, trying to conserve energy for the week.
We took Sand Flats Road and had it to ourselves, We poked along very slowly through one steep slick stretch of snow with a big dropoff, but continued on until we ran out of golden light and the road was heading away from the creek. I made a video of the wide view at the overlook.
Love your photo of him in a box! So fun and he looks so alert. You did a wonderful job of blending the photo with the page and I love the white Snowflake and red berries.
Just like your beautiful flowers, I can't wrap my mind around all that rain. Yes, we might have some, sure. Even this Tuesday when we're in Utah, but not much. We call it 4-inch rain when the drops are four inches apart. ;)
I was glad we waited for better weather for Moab and watched most of the snow melt during the week, meaning more safe Jeep roads for us to explore. While I waited, we got 8 more inches of snow for a total of 16 the first week of the year after none for so long. I continued to work on XDX.
The soup looks good but it's the way you show the photo of your peeps and the snow elements that I love the most. And now I have to figure out a scheme to work a lasagna into my low-carb life in the next few weeks. (We make an eggplant parmesan with no pasta but it isn't the same at all.) ;)
