Using Paint Shop Pro (PSP) is a little different but there is a High Pass Sharpen with three blend modes. I used it with Hard Light on the background and the photo plus added drop shadow to the gesso.
European Starlings were introduced in North America and took over habitat of some native birds so they are not well liked in that regard, but they are interesting with a textured-looking plumage this time of year.
The drawing or mental landscape is called "Then Past the Old" from text in its collage. It really has more color than this, but this seems to work better. Combining them with my photos is a brand new idea I want to try.

Our thermometer this morning said 0.2 F and right now it says 0.0! The wind is strong and blowing around the small amount of snow we got. We too are glad we got our errands done Wednesday. This is NE Ohio.
Oh my goodness, how time flies! She was sure a little cutie back then and the page with all the soft elements fit this just right. Also like the stacking.
