Love the colors in this and the horizontal lines.

This is a photo I may never have scrapped before.

This picture always surprises me because I can't remember it. I also can't remember if it was 1951 or 1952. This grandfather was a favorite for both my brother and me, maybe all his grands.

Hope she's better real soon! Know you'll all stay strong together while you wait.

Wonderful texture from the papers to echo the photos. Like the bits of greenish as accents. Night herons are so fun.

I'm not a fan of real heat, but somehow we've missed that this year unlike so many of you. So I'm sad that summer's on its way out.

I don't know when I first began to think of cicadas as heralding the coming end to summer but it was long ago. The photo isn't a current one but one I took of a periodic cicada in Oklahoma in 2015.

Thanks for the challenge! Here are steps in making a cigar box guitar.

This was the week of the cigar box guitar classes. Lots goes into putting it all together but the four days with the kids makes it worth it. The resulting guitars are much nicer than one might expect and everyone has fun making music when the kits are assembled.
