Yay for you! Takes me back to the 70's. I made those wind chimes back then, from three pieces of thick triangular steel. Heavy and loud and I'm not sure which move sent them by the by or who got the gift of them, but you never forget how welding makes you feel. Maybe like we could be Ukranian...
I'm not sure but maybe it's the blending that makes your page so fabulous. Everything just flows together so beautifully, and almost magically. I love that @Kythe mentions technical skill. It's definitely part of it along with your creativity. ;)
The sky got increasingly cloudy as we drove south and west and across La Veta Pass, but our trip to Alamosa NWR was totally worthwhile when we saw the golden eagle in his tree. It was easy to spot him far enough ahead so he didn't fly away, when we knew ahead of time where to look.
She's tired and maybe out of breath and the predominant color is brown. Then she gets a bit of a rest and I love the transition to the greens when she's refreshed. Also, your use of white space and your placement of the journaling.
Gorgeous! I spotted the connection to my page right away, and love that you used the torn photo frame and the vine. I'm still thinking what I'll do. :D
The weather was nicer and there were more birds on Tuesday although the sun came up behind clouds. We watched the cranes taking off from MVNWR for about half an hour, then waited just a few more minutes on the dike for the sunrise before heading back to the hotel for breakfast.
We didn't expect to find young ducks in October alone when there were no adult ducks around. They startled when we showed up but didn't leave immediately. We wondered if their parents had already migrated or maybe were killed by hunters. We hoped that they were safe.
The burn piles at MVNWR were there for many years. There were no winter days when they could safely be assigned to a prescribed burn. The area had suffered years of drought, not enough winter snow, and often higher winds than earlier decades. They weathered and turned into part of our scenery.
