Lucky to have a photo like this one. I don't and can only wish. I LOVE the lace from the wonderful background creating contrast over the wood paneling. And the rust is nice with these blue-greens. ;)
I managed to lift the frame shape (rather roughly), color swatches, and the ribbon behind. I changed the leaves to zentangle feathers. I thought long and hard, but couldn't find a way to incorporate the extra strip photo concept this time, unless I made another fractal. Some wouldn't want that. :D
The carpet of birdsong was stunning, and I'd see a blackbird flitting here and there amongst the reeds. But the few birds that I could actually see, and they weren't close, couldn't even remotely account for the amount of noise. Further study was needed. We'd have to go back over and over to...
I'm doing that now too sometimes, if our November trip starts on October 26th, so be it. LOL. In my mind it has to be filed under November. This looks like a fantastic place to relax, and even more special after all the effort it takes to discover something you love the most. ;)
I love your white part of the dark background. I look for papers that have both black and white on one layout, and don't find many. Super fun character!
Gorgeous everything! So many cool techniques, but the blending of the photo and the paper, the wordart, and the handwritten torn strip stand out the most for me :cool: .
The skeleton dog sat on the hotel's front desk at check-out. We left just after 6 am and took the back road up to Buena Vista for breakfast at Jan's and over Fremont Pass. There was snow up high and gorgeous fall color. Then we hit widespread heavy fog from Idaho Springs into Denver.
