A lovely photo but a sad story.

wow! What an amazing photo Kay, and how very sad! Yes, the current pandemic really doesn't compare with the one that took your grandfather, it would have been so much more frightening back then, not having the support and constant news updates that we have had with this one. Beautifully scrapped layout, love that shade of pink teamed with your soft vintage colours. So lovely!

He was a handsome man! What a tragedy that he died in that awful pandemic and that your mother never got to know him. I love the embellishment cluster on the side of the photo and also the appropriately fancy handwriting font you used for the title. It all looks wonderful.

I love the addition of your personal journaling to it. So many heritage pages (and normal pages as well) show none of that. I try, but many times I fall short since I don't know the story and no one is left to ask...
