Created for the October Artist Inspiration Challenge. I was inspired by the foliage photo from Ansel Adams. Initially, only the flower in the photo was going to be in color. I wanted for part of it to be b&w because Ansel Adam's photography was mostly black a nd white. When I started playing with the photo and working with blend modes, it was better for the photo to be completely in color.
The background for this page consists of four paper layers. The bottom layer is an orange shabby cardstock. The layer above it is an artsy paper with a blend mode of Lighter Color. The next layer is a different artsy paper with the blend mode set to Color Burn. The top layer is a green shabby cardstock. The blend mode here is Darker Color and the Underlying Layer slider has been moved to the left.
