It's so refreshing to see that there are people here from all around the world! So, I'm curious (hope it doesn't kill the cat!) , and wondering what country/state/province you are from. :) And what's the best thing about the place you live?

I'm from little ole' Idaho, in the USA.

The best thing (imo) is the fresh air. LOTS of fresh air.

Join in in the chatter section and you will quickly learn about where people are from. We have people who participate regularly from Holland, England, Australia, many different states, designers from Asia, Europe and of course all over the US. So jump on it and you'll get to know all sorts of people pretty quick.

I'm a midwest gal too! Nebraska. There's a few of us midwesterners. I think there is a thread on this topic somewhere around here too, but it would be nice to hear it again from people too. :-)

I am from North NJ. And I always feel like I need to add a disclaimer that "real" NJ people are *nothing* like the Jersey Shore. or the Sopranos.

I'm from Iowa in the USA. (Although there are plenty of people here in the US, when told that I'm from Iowa say "where they grow potatoes". No, that would be Idaho.)

They may have lots of corn Chris, but WE are the cornhusker state! :-) Though, I refuse to wear one of those stupid corn cob hats!!!

And Chris, I know you are nothing like Jersey Shore or Sopranos......You are just like Stephanie Plum right??!! :-)

HAHAHA!!! I love that everyone needs to make a disclaimer about where they are from!!!

CAN WE SAY "Stereotyping"???? Bwahahaha!!!!

I AM FROM SE VIRGINIA!!! Nestled into the BlueRidge Mountains!!!!

Boring town we live in, but it's beautiful here!!!

Oh and we are the known for the VIRGINIA HAM!!! YAY!!!

Currently I am in Arkansas taking a break but I will be moving back to my beloved Reno, NV later this year hopefully =]

Another Aussie here!!! I live in northern New South Wales in a place called Grafton we are famous for our Jacaranda Festival held every late Oct! The town is awash in purple/mauve at that time of the year and everyone gets dressed up in crazy fancy dress for Jaca Thursday when everything comes to a standstill at midday for a half day holiday!!

My mom lives in Bowen Mountain is that close to you?

The Land of Oz! Do I need a disclaimer???? LOL????

And I am from Kansas. Does that mean I get a free pass to warmth & sunshine this time of year?! ...figuring out how to reverse-click the ruby slippers...

Actually, I'm in the mountains of New Mexico right now - it's cold and snowy at our elevation. But I should be back in the Heartland in 6 months and counting.

Texas girlie here!!

Yup, I wear boots all the time, I have a cowboy hat, and when I went to the symphony tonight I had big hair!!

...but alas, as most people tell me in a disappointed voice, I do not have a Texas accent. Sorry!

hey Ona I remember driving through there and ending up in a place called MacLean with lots of tartan lampposts it so reminded us of Scotland .
We did say to each other now this would be a really nice area to go and live with all that water about as well to go sailing and canoing.

so ...I live in Scotland on the west-coast , right next to the water but I was made in Holland :rapture: I mean I am Dutch with my dad being Dutch and my mum British

But only for another 4-5 years when my husband will be out of the military and we will move back to Washington and be back home.
