What's for supper at your house tonight?

I used to watch a very corny show when I was little called "Hee Harandw". There was a segment where someone would ask "What's for dinner, Grandpa?" Grandpa would then list the yummy things on the menu for the evening. I also love to see what my friends are fixing when they post on Facebook. I have gotten some good ideas that way. We are having spaghetti and salad for supper. What's for dinner at your house?

We had macaroni for dinner. Easy to cook, which is very nice after a day's work. Although I have it easy, my husband cooks dinner most of the time!

I love pasta! It's wonderful that your husband can cook! When we first got married, I asked my husband to make Koolaid and he said "I don't cook." To make Koolaid you just pour the packet into a pitcher and then add water and sugar! There is not cooking involved! :)

I'm having ham and cornbread casserole left over from our family party this past weekend. I love not having to cook.

I made the easiest meal tonight and it was delicious! I had purchased a couple of packs of burger sliders this weekend because we wanted pre-made burger patties but the store was out of full size so I went with the sliders to try. We did not like them as mini burgers - way too dry and rather a pain to fix and eat. I had a second pack that needed to be cooked up so I laid them all out in my biggest skillet, dumped spaghetti sauce over the top, put some mozzarella on top and let them cook for about 30 minutes. it was just like having meatballs without having to actually make meatballs! So easy! I'll totally buy sliders again for this purpose :). I'm sure any purists or Italians will be aghast but for a non-cook, this was a big deal for me lol

Our dinner last night was a disaster. I wanted to try a something new but not too new - a variation of our family staple - chicken tikka masala. I found a recipe that suggested adding pumpkin and thought I'd give it a try as pumpkin soup is always success in our family. I spend two delightful hours cooking and feeling like a pro chef, patting myself on the back for varying our meals, living healthily and getting the kids to eat more veggies in the process. They both were super excited and ran downstairs... and absolutely refused to eat it... it was too sweet (it was), a massive disappointment that it was not the soup they thought they were getting (I WAS going to make it but then saw that recipe, lol) and can I please not purse my lips just becuase they don't like a dish I made.

So, I guess I'll go for something safe tonight, like pasta...

Oh, I am so sorry that the new recipe did not work out! That is so disappointing to spend all that time and the ingredients to have nobody eat it.

As an Italian-American, I'll give you a pass as long as you didn't use ketchup like our lovely @tanteva does :D:D:D

I am all for cooking hacks although I think the first time I made pasta using sauce from a jar, my grandmothers were rolling in their graves LOL

Last night I couldn't deal with cooking so I heated up a box of frozen mac and cheese bites and jalapeno poppers. No clue what I am making tonight either, thinking that grilled cheese might be a possibility.

We are having leftover spaghetti tonight. We have church tonight so it’s great whenI can serve leftovers. I used Paul Newman’s Sockoronii sauce to make my spaghetti because it doesn’t have added sugar and is super yummy. I add some cans of fire roasted tomatoes. I also add a bit of olive oil and Italian seasoning to my noodles.

I lucked out last night. My mom and I went to Costo yesterday and she offered to buy me a rotisserie chicken. Reheated that, with some Stove Top last night. I cooked some Impossible Burgers for the vegetarian DD.
Now on to think about tonight. Bah humbug!!

I love rotisserie chicken! I even bought a cookbook that only has recipes that uses them. It’s such a time saver. Tonight we are having Salmon patties.

Thank you, Chris! I do NOT use ketchup in my italian food. My DH does use it in chili and the first time I saw that I was aghast. Now, I'm used to it and even set it out for him when I make chili. I don't put it in mine though lol

Just for you @faerywings a photo of my dinner this evening

Eve likes to mess with me. It's been awful, she teases me non-stop about ketchup on pasta:(
It's a good thing I love her.♥

Well, we are watching our baby granddaughter this weekend so I had to fix something easy while she was napping. Today we had meatloaf and macaroni salad.

I could try to get back at @tanteva by showing pictures of raw meat since she is vegetarian, but that would also make *me* throw up. :D:D:D
