Server Upgrade - Tomorrow!

We are ready to move the Oscraps blog, forum & gallery over to the new server. We will be temporarily closing the blog, forum & gallery Sunday, April 22, mid-morning.

We expect the downtime for the transfer to be minimal, but please keep in mind when a site moves "addresses" that it can take time to replicate across service providers across the net - unfortunately, we have no control over that aspect. Most service providers will update almost instantly while some can take 24 hours.

This is exciting stuff. Change is good especially when it signifies growth. Yay!! Fingers and toes crossed everything is closer to the instant side of things.
 
Yup, Sally! The store will remain open (we're not ready to move it yet) and I really don't think the forum/gallery/blog will take long at all. It really is mostly a matter of transferring any new layouts to the new server (won't take long!) and then changing the 'address'.
 
Soooooo, mid-morning for you Vicki, is sometime late afternoon / early evening for me (I think?) ... so I get to play most of today [hopefully] without interruption ... woo-hoo! Hope everything goes smoothly.

Same here, but then I wanted to go to the next page and it gave me the message "unavailable" and I was like woaha that's fast... but it was my own internet that didn't work! LOL

I'll be closing it down at 1:00 pm.

Expected downtime is minimal for actual move, but, like I've said before, it may take some time for the new address to propagate.
 
It must have been fast cause it is back for me- don't know if it was gone,cause I went in to work since there was no O!
 
yep, it mostly went well and super quick.

i'm still struggling with one thing in the gallery, but hopefully that will be fixed tonight!
 
i missed the memo...with 7 kids in the house all weekend didnt have a lot of time to check anything LOL so when i tried to log in after they left i was like UHHHHHHH lol
