Project Life 2024

Scrapbooking reminds us that life is beautiful.
CHEERY O
I was wondering if anyone does this? I did it at Scrapgirls. I would love to get it started here if there is any interest.

I don't do it anymore, Laura. I tapered off for the last few years doing Project 12, where I did 1 page a month, but I don't even do that anymore.

@CheryIndesigns, I do monthly this year. I did weekly for a few years prior.
Monthly was all I could squeeze in. I kind of liked it and might try it again next year. Our youngest DD and GS lived with us for about 6 years so I had lots to scrap with him. He kept me entertained and with lots of pictures.

I will see what I can do to work on this. I really liked the "diary" part of it. It helped me put lots of little things I want to document onto 1 page so I have less pages in my scrapbook, plus it is a good reference. For example "when did I plant the garden last year?".

Laura, as per my message to you, I am happy to work with you to set up a forum for you all to utilise so let me know by return message how you would envisage it to look like. I am heading to bed now, so goodnight peeps! xx

I am so pleased to see this happening here. This year I am doing weekly with my photos being daily ones taken via Photo a Day prompts by FatMumSlim blog

I'm still doing mine Laura but my templates are from SG so don't work here at the moment
You are allowed to paste an image into the thread, even though you can't post to the gallery. I'd love to see what you're doing. I've used my same template from SG for 3 years and I'd hate to give it up, certainly not mid-year.

I'm doing a Project 52...I'll have to get few of my pages and share. They are done with a template from another site soo I can't link to the gallery it's in.

June 2024
Our first full month of home ownership/rental property management was full of projects. On the
first, we moved Dad into the camper at the Damiansville house for a bit of piece and quiet. I worked
on a sun catcher project with chicken wire and beads. On Sunday, I planted hydrangeas and strawberry
plants. Chad and I watched Miller’s game on Monday, 6/3. On Wednesday, 6/5- I spent my day off
working on some garden boxes. Ember found the squirrels outside and wanted to chase them.
On Thursday, 6/6, Chad moved the shed. The weekend (6/8 and 6/9) was spent cutting down a lot of
limbs and some trees around the property. I got my new garden boxes into place and planted seeds in
them on 6/10. On Wednesday, 6/12, I took Ember to get her nails trimmed, did a makeover to the
bathroom sink, and then had lunch with Grandma Blumenstein. Later, Chad worked on the shed that
he moved, making it more sturdy. On Friday, I made a bird bath out of a bowl and a vase that I got from
Good Will. It adds such a pretty pop of color to the yard. On 6/15, we went to Coles Creek where Kory
was camping for a “family reunion”. It’s the first time our whole family has been together in about
3 years (minus Mom). This was such a fantastic event. I am so happy. It was nice to see the kids all
together again. On Sunday, we went to Grandma Olliges’ for lunch, stopped by Grandma Blumenstein’s
to visit, and then to Chad’s parents for dinner. On Monday, 6/17, we watched Kenadee play ball.
She is pretty good. On Wednesday, 6/19, I got to watch Markus for a few hours while Angie went
to a Boy Scout thing. We did so much, including look at my scrapbooks to show him pictures of him
in them. He loved the page I did of him and his favorite toy- the stuffed duck. Later, I took him
to his ball game that was in Albers. On Saturday, 6/22, we had the 2nd annual Schwierjohn family
reunion. On Sunday, Chad and I got the supplies we needed to fix some drainage issues on the
properties. We went to Miller’s game on 6/24 and then saw the Strawberry Moon later that night.
I harvested some green tomatoes on 6/25 and made some green tomato relish on 6/26. I also
harvested the first zucchini of the year on 6/26. The garden is coming along really well! I love all
of the sunflowers growing around it. I harvested my first blackberries on 6/27, and then a bunch
of carrots on 6/28. I ended up canning the carrots. We had a busy weekend at the end of the month.
Dad came over Saturday, 6/29 to help. Chad rented the mini escavator for the weekend. We
moved the huge brush pile to Dad’s place to burn, and started work on the drainage project.
It was so hot! On Sunday, it was so much cooler that we needed a jacket in the morning. Gary
and Mary came over to help, and so did Dad. We worked all day and got the drainage pipe
buried, and a tree stump removed, and the yard fixed up. We had pizza for lunch and I made
some zucchini bread for the hard workers. It was such a beautiful day and we got so much work
done. I even got to use a mini jack hammer. Now, we just wait for the rains to see if it
stoops the floods through our yard and carport. Chad did a great job planning it all out.

I love seeing everyones pages. I am so far behind I wont stress to make any now while we are traveling. I will catch up in Sept/Oct when we are home. Thanks for sharing everyone

So, what do you think, @LauraD , now that I'm posting July, should everything just go in this thread, or do you keep up the separate ones by month? Tbh, I'm finding it tricky to find the right thread, so I'm inclined to just use one, but is there a danger of that getting too long?
(I would stick in cutsey emoji here but I can't tell what most of them mean from my phone screen, so pretend I have a <shrug>)
