Thank you everyone for your wonderful support. I was in trouble when my hubby got home from work because I had neglected to tell him how dad did. And, in lieu of anything better to say, I just said, "well, I posted an update in the O forum". (that didn't go over that well :help:)

and Maureen and Timou, please do keep us posted.

Maureen- how has your hubby been feeling? He will know by tomorrow if he is good to travel?
 
Chris, Dick has been 'feeling' just fine. He actually isn't a big worrier. What he is is an engineer who does long range planning. So this is a contingency he gets to plan a lot of 'what if's' around. In a way, it keeps his methodical brain happy! He'll know this afternoon. I'm betting we'll be going.
 
Continue to keep all of you in my prayers. Maureen, warm hugs and let us know how Dick does.
I understand the "planning" my DH is an engineer too... it is a help to my DH - out comes excel and flow charts :)
 
Timounette, i'm glad your mom is doing well!

Maureen, I read your other post and commented there but wanted to say i like your comment about him being a planner :)

my dad is doing wonderfully. He's still having some sternum pain (guess that's to be expected with open heart surgery) but he will probably be going home tomorrow afternoon or wed morning. he was even doing so well, he got out of ICU a day early and has been in a regular room since the day after his surgery!
 
I don't know whether to be jealous of you with the engineer hubbies or be grateful that mine isn't like that at all. :D I should say that MMG used to be more like that before he got sick, now I can ask him to do something and within in minutes its completely out of his brain. But I am glad that Dick is doing better, and your dad too Vicki.
