Posting Challenge October: You with me?

eeek! just had a look at what I started with this month..........3957!! that means I have posted like 750 times.........umm, do you think this might be contributing to my returned RSI problems in my left hand and wrist!! I went to the docs yesterday and I have to have my hand x-rayed today, he thinks it might be arthritis as well.......because of the pain I have been taking ibrufen and of course that in turn has made my high blood pressure spike so my doctor is not too happy with me :(

hmmmmmmm, he did ask if my workload at 'work' had increased and I said 'No' :rolleyes:.......well technically it hasn't!!:p

last time I had problems with carpal tunnel syndrome I had to use a voice recognition program instead of using the keyboard........THAT was hysterical as I was sharing an office then............and my darling DH just fell on the floor laughing when I told him the name of the program, Dragon (Naturally) Speaking. !!!!!:rolleyes: anyways, one step at a time, will have the x-rays today and then see my doctor again next week!
 
Oh no...Ona! That sounds awful! How do you scrap with a voice recognition program. :-( Hope that the x-rays come back ok!

And yes Elisa...that's exactly how we all started!
 
hahhaaha! Linda! the right hand is fine, so it won't affect my scrapping too much, just the keyboard and typing!!! that WOULD be funny........"no, no, just move that flower element over a little bit, bit more........hmmm, naw! move it back to where it was!" :)

So many rock stars this month...and then there was me. So not a rock star this month...but I've been rocking in other places so i'm letting myself off the hook. i am just amazed at all of you guys though. i've been posting in spurts though. so I'm good with it.

Ona - How fun to talk to the layouts. that would be cool.

I would have LOVED to be a little bird to fly around the office when you where using the voice recognition program! (oke, I would say I would love to be a fly, but I don't like them :lol: )

On another note- have you tried a tablet? I love being able to switch between a mouse and a pen, which helps my hand/tendonitis

Last note- too funny- I would love to hear you scrap w/ the voice recognition, esp w/ your awesome Aussie accent!

just wanted to let you all know that I am with my in-laws because my FIL is dying. The doctor told us that he probably has until the weekend....
I will check in now and then to feel that not everything is falling apart.

Hey Chris, yes I already use a tablet when scrapping, I just love it! but its my left hand/wrist that is causing the problem and yes I will take very good care of it!! LOL! I don't think garlic tabs will help with this! :D I forgot you had to book in to get x-rays so I have an appointment tomorrow morning (our Friday morning).

You don't have to book with me. I'd let you just pop on in and take them any time during work hours. If only it wasn't such a long trip.

hahha! that's so funny!!! I was sitting in the waiting room this morning for my x-ray and I actually thought to myself, if was Clara I wouldn't have to wait this long!!!! :D and then I get back to work and read this!!! thanks sweetie!!! I would much rather have had my x-ray with you!!! :p

Today, okt. 23rd, would be Jennys 18th birthday. She is the girl who was my best friend at work. She died may 8th :(
I feel so sorry for her parents! And everytime I think about what she did, I can only wish and hope my girls will NEVER think of doing such a thing!

I didn't write it here, since this is an open forum. No drugs. She was totally in love with her boyfriend, we worked together in the weekends. She always said: If S. breaks up with me, than I'll kill myself, I just can't live without him! I told her many times that that is NOT the solution. You are soo pretty, when you get over it, I'm sure you will find an other lovely boy.
S. says he didn't break up, he just wanted space to go with his friends to the disco, in stead of beeing with her the whole weekend. He is 21, she was 17, I think that is the age for going to the disco and doing stuff with your friends. And nog only with your gf/bf.
J killed herself, she jumped in front of a train :cry:
And the weirdest part is, we worked the last time together on thursday (she died on the saterday after that), she was saying she was NOT going to learn for french teacher, because than she had to go to France for 6 months. That was to long away from her bf. She would deffinately come to the barbeque we where organizing at our work. So I'm sure it was really not planned. Just a stupid action she thought of that day.
The most difficult part for her parents is that the bf doesn't want to say what they have talked about that evening.
Personally I think he did break up with her. (I don't blame him, everybody should be free in breaking up with somebody) But that he is protecting himself by not saying what they talked about, and by saying he just wanted more space in their relationship.
Sometimes I don't understand, she was such a pretty girl! I made 2 layouts about/for her. With the photos not very clear.'

I will delete this message after the weekend or something. So everybody who is interested can read what happened to her.

Oh Yvon, so very sorry to hear about your friend. Teen years are so frightening...decisions made in the moment that just last forever!

I feel so sorry for her family! I 'only' worked with her in de the weekends. We talked to much, our boss told us about once a month :lol: But hey, he asked us everytime: So ladies, do you think you catched up talking now? :lol:
Together with my collegas we've sent a flower-thingie for her parents and sister today.

Pfew,, 21 to go!! That is easy peasy!!
 
Yvon, oh my............... I am so so so sorry- I shouldn't have pried. :(
But that is such a sad story, and my heart is breaking for that girl, her family and her boyfriend.


Hang in there, I am sure it is going to be a painful day. Thinking of you!

I think it is such a stupid thing, but it isn't a secret. So I should say: Thanks for asking :)
 
I'm so sorry for her, her family, her boyfriend and her friends Yvon! That's so sad!!! Big hugs for you!!!
