I have signed up for Facebook! LOL!!! :) :p

and now I gotta work what to do with it!! LOL!! I am having lunch with lovely photographer DIL tomorrow who is going to instruct me on 'how to use Facebook' so hopefully I will become an expert quite soon!!!

I will need to find the thread that had everyone's facebook names so I can add you all! :rolleyes:

Once you've figured it out Ona, can you pop over to Blighty and show / tell me too???? I signed up to Facebook over a year ago, found a few old friends from school (which was fabulous) but other than that, I just don't "get" it!!!
 
LMBO! I signed up for Facebook about 4 yrs ago - great idea, in theory, when you're an expat. But I Hate, Hate, HATE it! I never log on, and when I do I get accosted by people wanting to chat - if I wanted to chat, I'd pick up the phone!

So I find myself hiding from Facebook, which is unbelievably pathetic!

signed in 3 Years ago or something, because a friend of mine was going to antartica and was sharing his pictures_daily life up there ... I went once...

and don't want to go any more ...

I had the same problem about the chat thing...there is an option on the box that lets you be invisible (offline) so no one knows when you are actually on facebook....and you can browse the news and comment as you like. That is what I do. I stopped getting on for a while because of the chat too...when I found myself with 6 - 10 chat boxes open...I thought " I can not handle this"....but I found that option and now it's very nice.

I like facebook, because it takes you into everyone's world a little bit and and love the fan pages, you get to keep up to date on what's going on at all your fave places...all in one place.
 
my sister and i were on FB for awhile and we kept telling my mom stuff that we read from there. Even though she had given us this rant about how she just not need to know all about everyone's lives she finally got jealous of our info that she didn't have and logged on. It made me laugh. FB is fun. I'll find you.
 
someone suggest Ona to me when you find her!! I adore facebook...it's like an extra Mom eye on my kids!! teeheeee!!! (ohhh don't tell cora!!)

Selena and SueF. hmmmm, wasn't aware of all of this stuff but I will go with what Linda suggested about being incognito while on FB..........do I have to wear dark sunglasses Nana??? ........... like LInda said though, I mainly want to keep check of some the faves spots on the internet and of course keep in better contact with my family, and extended family. I chatted for awhile with my nephew's wife yesterday which was fantastic! So, {gulp} off to FB!!! :mrgreen:

Call me technosaurs #3!!! LOL I did it to be in contact with my friends and family in Mexico... but just don't like to spend so much time on it... I prefer to scrap! :D

It will be out little secret.

I used to play some of the gmaes- Mafia Wars mostly- but I have no time/patience for that any nore.
I do the same as Nana Linda- stay offline for chat. It wasn't that I don't want to talk to people, but I would find that I was losing huge chunks of time LOL

So now I apop on, check in with what is happening- go from there.

Twitter- yes I caved and signed up too. But I am not sure how much I will actually use it other than for the O!

LOL...I just use it to jot down daily quotes that make me giggle from the kids....or other funny things that happen, its kind of like a blog ;) A nice little reference point :)
