Welcome to the November Challenge #5 - Borders only
My name is Kay aka Bright Eyes and I will be your host.

Borders are elements grouped together along one side of layout.
A border can be along either right or left side
or along either top or bottom of a page.

November's Border Challenge

This month's border will be placed on the side edges only - no top or bottom or corners
Place a long border along either right or left side of page
with the border near but not overlapping the edge
and going from top to bottom of the page.
Place 1-2 overlays under the large border just touching the edge of the page
and going from top to bottom of page.
Make a much smaller border about 1/4 - 1/3 the size of the larger border
and place it not quite touching the edge on the opposite side of the layout.
Place a small overlay under the small border just touching that edge.
This overlay can extend above the border but no longer than 1/2 of the page.
See placement of overlays on my Layout
Tuck 1 or 2 photos (framed or unframed) under the edge of the large border
Add a word art or title to the page
The theme of your page may be whatever you like.
I chose an Autumn theme for mine.

Side borders only - No corner or top-bottom borders allowed this month.

This is my Layout

To help those who may be confused as to what is an "OVERLAY'....
some designers label them as overlays, some as transfers or brushed art.
For this challenge, Overlays are an item with a low opacity - looks like it is a faded object.
You could use a stamp if you lower the opacity on it.
Note: it is not paint or splatters.
Hope that explanation helps clear up any confusion.

This makes for an interesting challenge, Kay. Thank you!
How delightful... Love the extracted dancers. The palm trees and lattice for the borders is perfect for the theme of Pasha's palace. So glad you joined the challenge.

BTW, I had 2 daughters who did belly dancing so really enjoyed seeing the theme of your LO.

Thanks Kay, I imagine that was great fun! Tomorrow night we are going to see Orpheus and Eurydice. Not sure what her role is but it will be interesting.

this was a real challenge! Thank you for making me really think about what I was doing :D
You 'thought' really well... I love the autumn leaves/elements in the borders. And your photo of the leaves in the trees is perfect for the theme you selected. So glad you joined the challenge.
