Hubby is on the phone with the hospital dokter.
He feels pressure on his chest, dizzy, difficulty breathing.
I'm all nervous and scared!!

Called my mom if the kids could come over. Hubby is waiting, the assistant is talking to the dokter now!

Please keep him in your thoughts!

Oh, honey!!! I hope everything is ok. I'm saying a prayer for you and your hubby. The dr will find out what it is, and I'm sure it's nothing serious.

Thanks everybody!!
The docter did a quick check up. Hubby told me this morning it was the 3rd time he felt like this!! I told him to tell me immediately after the next time!!
Anyways, the doctor said his bloodpressure was 168 over 100. (i've been told it is good whan you have around 140 over 80)
So he told us to go to our own doctor, the assistant measured the bloodpressure again (about 2hrs later) and it was 145 over 98.
They made an appt for him for tomorrow, he'll get a bigger check up. His bloodpressure was 'oke' for now, not that high that he needed immediately medicine.

Poh! I was scared, I thought of his father who had a heart attack when he was 40yo, and after that he had to start working less, because of his healt.

oh. my dear!! this sounds important and worthy of further testing and medication. i hope things are going well. good blood presure is 130/80 and below. the 168/100 could just have been because of the stress of the situation! please tell him NOT to be a "guy" and ignore such symptoms. he needs to get to medical care immediately the next time he feels like this. best of luck!

Yes Yvonne- do that follow up- in the states they recommend 120/80 for BP, high blood pressure usually has no symptoms, so perhaps your husband has been under stress which could cause some of those symptoms? My husband had someone he works with go through something very similar when he was under stress- turns out it was the stress, not the heart. Prayers for more healing and answers

Sweet Yvon!
So sorry to hear about DH scare. In Canada some of the drugstores have places to check your BP.
We actually bought one when my BP was all over the place.
One doctor said patient's often have "white coat" syndrome. As soon as they get in the drs office they become anxious and BP goes up.

You make him go to the dr. If he has any of these signs again!
Lotsa hugs and prayers

Oh Yvon, how scary! I am so glad that he was able to get a quick check up today and a better one tomorrow. Hopefully the high BP was just due to stress, but it is best if he keeps a close eye onit, esp if there is a family history.

And seriously! Men!! Last year, Gary was having chest pains and I tired to talk him into going to the ER that morning. It was a Sunday morning, it could not have been better time-wise. All day long he says he is fine, until 8 pm that night. that was when he admits that they had been going on all day and can I please drive him to the hospital. Ugh!!

Keeping you all in my thoughts for tomorrow too.

That sure is scary Yvon! I'm glad everything's OK for now and hopefully they can rule things out at your regular doctor tomorrow.

I think it's good to buy the checker and keep it at home. My dad used this over the past few years when I was in junior high school. I helped him checking his blood pressure throughout those years. But it was a manual the one that doctors used in their examination rooms. So I have the stethoscope as well *grin*.
Today I believe there's an automatic checker with just a push and play button.

Just a thought ... does your husband regularly doing exercise? It helps a lot though.
