Michael Jackson passed away!

Well, no matter what people think about his personal life - nobody can deny that he was an amazing performer and had incredible talent. I feel so badly for his kids, family, and close friends - having to go through this with so many cameras around. :(
 
Like I said on FB...he may have been strange and possibly deranged but he was definately on the soundtrack of my life. I used to watch MTV for hours waiting for them to play Thriller. I loved it. He ended his life such a quack and it is so sad because he had so much talent and creativity to give the world. He was accused of a lot of horrific things and I have no idea what is true or not. I do think it is very sad that his mind seemed to dwindle down to that of a child. I'd have liked to be a fly on the wall in Neverland to see what was really going on in his world.

Michael Jackson...you may be crazy and who knows what else but you were loved by many and your music reached so many people. RIP!!

I totally understand, Clara. So many memories of being 13 and staring at MTV for hours and hours and hours. He was such a fixture in our lives. It's just shocking. One of those things you never think of happening.
 
Oh Wow....I have not been connected today....I can't believe it....I was definately no fan of his lifestyle...but a HUGE fan of his music!! Very sad for his family and children!! So young!

and also Farah Faucette passing away too (at least she is in no more pain)....thoughts and prayers to both of their families!!
 
That is some WOW news! It is hard when you start seeing stars that you grew up with die like this. So many memories...
 
Ditto all the above!! I have fond memories of my daughter and her little friend dressing up with THE WHITE GLOVE and singing along to all of his songs!! LOL!
And so sad about Farah as well. Both of them are free of pain now, RIP.
 
I wasn't a big fan but...MY SISTER SURE WAS!!!
that was her very very fave.
I was not expecting his death at all, but it was his time.
He had his mistakes and so did Farrah Faucett.
It was God's will.

I was never into MJ- I was always into the harder stuff (80's metal rocks!) So while I was rocking out to Metallica, I wasn't paying much attention to him. ;)

However, any unexpected death is sad. But what made me sadder was that at first, I thought the news was a joke or hoax. How sad that someone who was literally at the top of the world had fallen so far. :(

And Farrah.... very sad.....she fought very hard.
 
I wasnt a big fan of MJ at all, although, hard to deny that some of his music was iconic and when its on the radio, you cant help yourself but sing to it. Its a very tragic and sad death, it was too soon for him, a very talented artist.

No matter what his lifestyle was like (bit strange!) He was still a person, a man, a son, a brother and most importantly a father. I wish strength on all his family and friends.

And yes Chris, its also a sad day for Farrah Fawcet's family which has been overshawdowed by MJ's passing. I really wish strength on all that are bereaved today.

its tragic and sad she lost her fight!
as for MJ, i know how it feels to loose your dad so unexpected.its hard!
 
I am devastated of his death. For me, he was a real musical genius, one of a kind. I am not a groupie, I don't care about the personal life of the singers or actors, writers, designers etc, but I am all about their work. Michael Jackson was on a league of his own, and I am very sad, it's a big lost.
 
I was shocked when I heard about MJ passing away. I was born in the 80s so I'm familiar with MJs music and love his work. I'm even familiar with music back when they were Jackson 5 (blame it on the parents).

I agree that he was a laughingstock with his antics plus his bad publicity but you can never deny that he was one heck of a musician!

RIP Michael Jackson.

It is also sad that Farah lost her battle to cancer.

RIP Farah Fawcett
