Ciao Monica! A scrapper from Rome, how cool is that!!
I was in Rome this summer...I scrapped a whole book about it

Looking forward to seeing your pages...welcome!
Oh yes Monica I hope to some day return to Rome and this time bring my daughter, as I know she will love it. As you may be able to tell from the book, Trastevere was my favorite.
Since both you and Frani asked, and I messaged Frani, let me tell you about my experience with Blurb.
The printed book is beautiful! The pages are silky smooth and the color beautiful. The end leaves are a lovely linen texture and classic gray color. The book can be made either online or offline with downloaded software. It was super simple to make. I did not resize my jpegs, just used 12x12, and made sure nothing important was in the pink zone that showed. I don't think I lose anything in the bleed area that I noticed.
But the book was expensive...$68 for a 40-page book. I had a Groupon (paid $15 for $45 worth of book) so that helped.
The image-wrapped cover was front and back only, it did not include the spine, so the spine is white (it looks fine) and it is matte.
So I am not sure I would use them for this size book unless it was a super deal.
The Shutterfly 12x12 books cost just about as much, but so often they have 30% and even 50% off, and their covers are completely image-wrapped and are glossy.
I have also used Blurb for blog books, and for 8x10 sizes their prices are more competitive, and the flexibility you get with Blurb is completely professional level, as is their service.
So, all in all I would recommend Blurb, but look for deals.
