Hi Ladies!!!! My fabulous friend Sally (Cellomom began a fabulous journey a couple years ago for Thanksgiving to capture what she was grateful each day. No matter how bad or crazy your day was....there was always so much grateful for :)

I would like to start this back up for the rest of November where we post our gratitudes for the day. It was such an uplifting way to start or end your day as well as seeing what everyone else is grateful for tends to bring things into focus for what is important in our lives :) Sometimes in the craziness of life we forget :)

So let's lift ourselves and each other up a little each day and post our gratitudes. It can be one small one like waking up or a list of million reasons to be grateful that day!! It's up to you! Also please no worries if you miss a day...just add it to the next one :)

FABULOUS KAT!!!
Thankful for you for starting this sweetie!!!

I actually have been tooling around about my day today thinking that I was very thankful that I have a very healthy family...no serious health issues at this time, and that we are able to go about our daily lives without complication.

"Giving thanks" has always been something I thought of as an American thing (you know with the whole Thanksgiving thing etc), or something religious folk did ... but I'm neither American nor religious and yet I've come to realise that being thankful is something I am but I rarely think, show or act upon in a public way.
Forgive my stilted opening, I guess you could say I'm a typical reserved Brit(!) but I'd like to add my gratitude’s for today if I may ...

I'm thankful for my brother and the meals he prepares for me each day. Thank you David!

Suzy Bluesy! I am thankful to see your sweet face!! Where have you been??? You haven't been in the kooky posting thread in a while. or maybe you snuck in w/o me seeing you. Either way, I have missed you.

I would be very grateful to my brother too. I am lucky that he makes food for me and my mom as well- had some yummy eggplant parm a la my mommy this afternoon :)

Terrific thread Kat!!

Today I am thankful that I have such warm and lovely online 'imaginery' friends who truly brighten my days with their love and support!!! Thank you my dears!!

I'm back with another one that I just thought of.

I am thankful that my DH is so helpful with the evening routine - dinner, bath and bedtime. Our evening goes so much more smoothly when we can tag team.

Loving reading all of your posts!

LOVE THIS!

Today I'm thankful for my amazing husband, and his amazing family! They've always been there for me, especially when my own family abandoned me.

Meg - that is beautiful I am so glad that you have their support and love it is so important :) ((hugs))

I'm thankful for my O fam- for a warm house on a cold night, for a job that pays the bills, for my creativity at work and at play

What a great idea Kat! So, with that, I'm thankful for my O friends. Even when life gets crazy and I'm missing in action, you all know so much about me. (Probably because I like to scrap my heart out when I scrap.) And you are waiting for my return! That's what I'm thankful for tonight!

Thelma I always miss my partner in crime and cannot wait until the times you are able to be here with us ((gentle hugs))! Know that you are loved!

Great idea Kat!

I'm thankful for my O family. And just like Sue, not used to "giving thanks" (we don't celebrate this holiday) so I'm also thankful for picking up this "American" custom and just saying: I love my O family!

So--- I know I don't have PMS, but this thread has me totally choked up. I love each and every one o you, the best imaginary friends I girl could ever wish for.

Today I am thankful for my children- both of whom will be home for some part of our Thanksgiving holiday and maybe some extras- when I lived in NYS, after my mom died, I took over Thanksgiving dinner - the last year before I moved (also the year of 9/11) I had 28 people- It was my holiday- now lucky to have 3 - hard for me not to be depressed-so this year- I am thankful that I get to cook for a "crowd" again

Laurie- that is fabulous!

I am grateful that there is a woman who is giving the most precious gift of all to my brother- her baby. Thank you so much to all birth mothers.

(not a done deal yet, but if I focus on good thoughts, the baby will be home in NJ in a few weeks. of course, she still needs to be born first :D)

So--- I know I don't have PMS, but this thread has me totally choked up...

You & me both babe ... and this coming from a true Brit with a "stiff upper lip", don't you know!!!
Today I'm grateful that my employer (who I'm still only temping for) has Wi-Fi connectivity and kindly allows me to access their wireless network (for free) during my lunch-break (i.e. right now as I sit here and type on my laptop!!!)

Lifting up....Ladies!!! You are all lifting me up so much :)

Diane - We love you right back :) ((hugs))

Chris - [..passing the tissues]
the best imaginary friends I girl could ever wish for.
Soo agree! Wow that is a fabulous gift your brother will receive!! Fingers crossed for you all!

Laurie - That is fabulous :) I am so glad that you are able to have that joy again :) Maybe you can turn it into a tradition!

Sue: [..passing more tissues to Sue] That is so nice of them to do that!!! It's nice to be able to connect to your friends during the day :) Helps the day go by faster!

So far today I am thankful for....

1. The fabulous Crossing Guard who gets up everyday without fail and helps our children cross the street at a very bad intersection. Almost daily she is hit by some careless driver and yet she comes rain, sun or snow...to keep our kids safe.

2. I am especially grateful for the wonderful teacher my son has this year. Not only does she get his allergy and keeps him safe, but she is a wonderful person.

3. I am grateful for the snooze button on my alarm clock that let me sleep 5 minutes more so I could wake up nt cranky today ;)

I am sure I will have more as the day goes through.....:) Have a fabulous day ladies!
