Hi I just received a phone call out of the blue from my Specialist about the condition I have .... he explained about the one stone in my Gall Bladder that it will never pass and that I could end up with the infection I had in February and ended up in Hospital and was on Morphine and really strong Antibiotics I said I hope I never go through that pain again he is happy for me to have the Gall Bladder taken out so I have agreed to the operation I am now on the list it will be a day visit in and out ..... I have to have a Bowel test to make sure everything is normal before the operation so fingers crossed I wont have to wait long.

Mary... so glad that the doctor called with his suggestion of what to do. No one wants surgery but that sounds much better than what you have suffered with due to it.

No one wants to have to have surgery, but Wow Mary you have suffered enough!! I am happy for you that you will be done with this terrible pain!

Oh good news! I had mine removed, and have been through the pain of gallstones. SO AWFUL. I don't wish that pain on anyone.

I agree that no one wants to have surgery but the alternative doesn't sound good. Hope they get you in quickly, the surgery is a success, and you can move on from this experience!

I agree with everybody else - surgery is not a great thing to go through, but you'll undoubtedly feel better when it's over. Hugs
