Favorite musicians

Who are your favorite musicians, bands and the best decade of music and the best songs?

My favorite singers are David Bowie (best song "Space Oddity") & George Michael (best song "I Can't Make You Love Me"). The best bands for me are Coldplay (best song "Hypnotised") and Depeche Mode (best song "Enjoy the Silence") and the best decade of music are the 80's.

I love the music of Leonard Cohen ... We have all the CDs and some fav's are ... so long Marianne, Suzanne, Bird on the Wire, Chelsea Hotel, Hallelujah, ...

I can enjoy Lana Del Rey, The National, Editors ...

I really don't listen to a lot of music anymore. when I do, it is just the local rock station in my car or the Green Day station on Pandora.

In the 80's, i was a headbanger- Metallica, Iron Maiden, Ozzy :rockon:

Favorite musician ever is Jack Johnson.

I like all genres of music, but my favorite right now is Country - new country that is, the kind of pop type country, not that old twangy kind. Although, I'm not opposed to some old Hank Williams, Jr lol

I like most genres, I don't have a favorite band or singer. I also never seem to remember who sang what song. My DH knows a lot about music, and he playes a lot of music. I just listen along, and when I don't like it, I ask him to turn the volume down. That doesn't happen often.

I also like many different kinds of music! Favourite Band probably The Eagles! I am listening to Celine Dion right now on google music and love most of her songs too. However we watched Bohemian Rhapsody the other night and it brought back so many great memories of the music during that time. So much wonderful music out there!

I am another one that loves different types of music, depending on how I am feeling at the time.......... but I love Pink Floyd (have done for yeeeeaaars!!), Celtic music with singers like Enya and Loreena McKennitt; 60s music and some country....... listening to The Highwaymen at the moment. I have music on most of the day and in the car.

I love all kinds of music. Country (I’m the opposite of Vicki, I prefer a more classic sound.), Classic Alternative, pop, rock. This leads to vastly favorite musicians. George Strait (best song, The Man in Love with You) and Depeche Mode (Best Songs Somebody/Enjoy the Silence).

My favorite decade is definitely the 80s.

no real favourites for me. I listen to whatever is on the radio.

I don't know many of the artists of today; last new years eve there was a top 2000 hit program on the tv and of most artists I did not know the name and/or song, only when I heard it, I recognized it!

Oh ya Pink Floyd would have been awesome!! My very first concert was with my DH when we were dating, that was a long time ago!! :becky: It was "Led Zeppelin" and it was fabulous!

OOOOOOOh that's a dificult questions because i love various music styles.

When i am in the shower, i always play Bruno Mars :whoo: I saw him last summer in Belgium and he is GREAT !!!!!

George Michael, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Queen, Michael Jackson, Pink, but also a lot of Belgium singers i love to hear !

Il Divo for my romantic evening dinners
Rocker - Chris Daughtry (2006 American Idol contestant) .. because he lives in my town (yummmy eye candy..love running into him at Panera occasionally)
Country mood - love Trace Adkins - puts on great concerts & he's very good to our veterans
I have a house cleaning play list that includes, Queen, Rihanna, OutKast, Amy Adams, Adele, Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, Bon Jovi, Rod Stewart...etc.etc.
Driving on trips - I like to listen to some rap when I start getting tired.

Best ever concerts I went to was Michael Jackson...best entertainer. Michael Buble (he can put me ..I mean sing me.. to sleep any night)...and Trans-Siberian Orchestra..best light show.

Not a lover of today’s music at all. I find it has no melody that I can follow and most of the time I don’t know what the words are because they are all mumbled and smushed together.
