Do I have the date right? Is that possible?

Dawn, I can't believe that school starts there on August 6? I'm so not ready. Sydney and Shaun go back on the 24th.

Kat, I'm so glad that this school seems to "get" the allergies. That would be such a huge relief.

Got to get ready for work but sure wanted to pop in and say good morning to all of you! Hope everyone has a great day!

good morning! I'm sitting down having breakfast (bagels anyone?) instead of eating on the run... I'm usually eating as I make my lunch or something... LOL... I'm starting to get into a good groove at work, but my butt is draggin' when I get home... plus I worked a little longer yesterday since I have to leave early on Wednesday to take Matthew to the dentist...

Not much going on around here... just busy with work and the kids... school starts here on the 13th of August, but Piper has a kindergarten kickoff before that on July 31st and then orientation for the kids will be somewhere between the 3rd and 7th... with all the job stuff I haven't made Will do any of the summer stuff so I'm going to try to start on that this evening when Gabe's grillin' burgers!

LindaS - I know what you mean... time is going by so fast!

have a great day everyone!

good morning!! Ok, I have to admit that I can't complain about going back to school just yet. I know you all get out so much earlier, but we also go back in Sept. This year is really early- Sept 3, which is before Labor Day. Typically we go back on the Wed after Labor Day.

in NJ, we have to be in school 180 days. I heard last year that they made it 182, but I never read anything official, and I am not about to count LOL So with snow days and vacation, we run from first week of Sept to second to last week of June.
Are your schools air conditioned? It must get so hot in August! Ours are not, at least not the elem's.

Linda S- hope you have a great day at work!

Sandra- yummy bagels! I have slacked with my kids and summer HW too. I remind them to do it, and they say they are (they have websites that they log into instead of worksheets) and I know they have both been reading, but I haven't worked with them, really.
I am glad to hear that the job is working out for you!

No burgers for us tonight, it is pouring out! Yesterday was a great day at the lake. I was supposed to be going today too, but the rain isn't going to let me. But we have Optimum Free Movie Tuesdays, so my friend and I are bringing the kids to see Ice Age this afternoon. I have tons of work and phone calls to make so it is good to be home today.

Linda W- I just left you love on your LO- wow that was gorgeous! You should be proud!! of her and you!
You sound so busy (but I know you thrive on that, esp for your fam!!) but make sure you take some time for you too.

Dawn, you are *always* cheery!!! Hope that you got a mouse working for you that you like.

NeeNee- Welcome back- hope that you are all rested and relaxed!

Andrea- how have you been feeling? Did the ginger oil help your tummy at all? Hope so! Sounds like a great time with your mom too. How did Jenny do with the haircut?

Clara - this is more a rant on my end, that at your end, but ITA- what is it with men?? I got through this w/ Gary all the time too.
Sooo awesome that Ethan is having fun!!
HP- I hope to go next week.T We have free passes and coupons for it at the really nice new theater near my mom's. But they don't accept passes for the first few weeks, so we have to wait. I always like the books better too, but I also adore the movies!

Kat- is it pouring by you today too? Hope you and Nick have a great week. And ITA- I always seem to say, It will be calm once (fill in the blank) but it never happens ROTF!

Ona- oooh I can't wait to check out your lo's- I love getting see other people's gardens! *cough LindaP *cough* hehe
Sooo funny that you thought of me, I was thinking of me the other day too. I was working outside - and this gi-normous wasp (I think it was a wasp, never saw one quite like it, it was bright orange) and I swear I was keeping a close eye on it. What is a wattle tree? And how come they don't have them in FarmVille :D
You sound like my MIL with her critters- she has families of wild turkeys that she feeds. She loves seeing them come back and with babies. We had a family of wild turkeys in our woods yesterday and they had a few babies with them.

Awww, Kat-- Nick is going to do great! Our school is good with allergies too, and has "peanut free zones" One of Caitlyn's good friends is allergic to just about everything including most food dyes. I swear I don't know how her mom does it... but Ali is really good with it all too. All of the teachers have a bag of snacks that she can have if someone brings in something she can't have.
So go ahead and cry just because!

Dawn-- I get those days all of the time! Hope that today is 100 times better!
My mom had a day like that too- her kitchen is being redone, and first they sent her the wrong microwave- and it has to be reordered. Then the dishwasher delivery was the wrong one on the truck and it had to be re-delivered. While she was trying to deal with that, the contractor asked her about the cabinet handles, and she looked at the picture of the cabinets and said "Like that, I guess" After drilling all of the holes for the handles, they realized that they were backwards. And then to top it off, the contractor told her that she has a problem with carpenter ants.
That was all yesterday. :(
Caitlyn keeps asking about Davy too- I told my fam at dinner one night! We were cracking up!

(((((((((hugs Clara))))))))))) LOLOLOL! I am so totally random like that too!!

Happy Day to all of my O-Fam!

Kat....go ahead and laugh at me...I can dream for a quiet Sept!! after DD has the baby (sched for 9/1) I will not have much going on...really...she will be off for 8 weeks. and you go ahead and give it a good cry when Nick starts school...he's gonna do great!! and the school will too!!

Ona!! I wanna know what a wattle tree is too! Those butterflies are GORGEOUS!!

Clara....ROFL..about your random things!! I can just hear you saying those things!!!

Hey to everyone else too! (((Hugs)) to you all!

Oh yeah...the baby shower is shaping up...My mom and I went this morning and picked up most of the things we are going to need. Most of the folks that invites were sent to have called and said they are coming...Sharon is still freaking out that she is not going to be ready....(guess when you wait almost 6 years...it's like the first time again!!)

Oh, I have a tip. well not really a tip, but a suggestion.... I have been seeing this kit in the Gallery and I swear, I drool over every LO- have you seen it?
Dolce Vita

Wow! It is on my Wish List!!!!

ITA about this kit....I keep putting it in my cart...but never hit the buy button...trying to cut back! and save some!!

Good morning. Not much going on here. I am so tired today and gave in and got some coffee. I stayed up late last night. I couldn't sleep. I am so stressed about our finances. They are just such a mess and I let them get that way and it is really lame. I hate it. We have a plan but it won't be able to really start until Friday. We are taking this class, I have mentioned it before but they only let you pay with money you have. you are not allowed to accrue more debt to take the class. You can only pay with a bank draft or debit card. It is actually really cool and is helping to get dh on board. We are going to have to change so many things. I am just so happy to be starting an actual system. We'll start using cash and get those pesky debit cards out of our wallet, not to mention those wonderful little credit cards. Ugh!!! So last night I got out of bed and started listing all of our bills and debt. The goal is to be debt free. We will never be completely debt free with our house mortgage and all that, but if that was our only debt payment that would be awesome. Step one will be credit cards and step two will be car payments. I am so ready. The biggest obstacle is going to be to get DH and I on the same page. One thing we are going to really bump heads about is the money I give to my church. He doesn't know I do that. I hate it being secret but I just haven't felt it necessary to let him know about it. But we watched the free preview for the program and he was saying how a 98% truth is not truth but a lie so it will be interesting. Ugh!! Anyway, I'm rambling but this has just been so heavy on my heart and mind lately. I'm just ready to get rid of the chains of debt. I have only recently started realizing how much it stresses me out and I am so tired of it being my issue and not our issue (me AND dh). Time for change.

So, moving on...have you guys been seeing Sally's pics on FB?? I've been to some of those places and I am soooooo jealous. Yesterday she was within 30 miles of my BIL, SIL and nephew. I hate that my DH's fam is so spread out. It makes visiting sparse and expensive.

Well, I think I should watch "He's Not That Into You." I heard it wasn't so great and makes women look whiney and needy, but whatever. Still want to watch it. I really should be scrapping. I have a lot of commitments. 1 LO for the BOTCT. It needs to be car themed. I have some great pics and I had an idea but it didn't come together like I had hoped, so I am going to start over. Then on top of that I have 2 kits I have to get a layout or two done with by Friday. I love being on these CT teams I just have no motivation lately...but I do better under a little bit of pressure, which is why I stressed dawn out last weekend. I felt a little bad about stressing her out but she is such a good sport about it I got to be amused by being a brat instead. I am so bad. LOL!! I am having a really hard time not using templates, but that is one of the rules. I can scraplift though. Half the time my LO looks nothing like the template but I always have it to start with, ya know?? I think it is my comfort blanket in scrapping. I like being pushed a little bit though. It will be fun. I just need some inspiration. I think I will head over to the gallery in a bit and get some. Have you guys checked out Digiscrap Addicts? It is like DST but newer. I think some of the girls from SO set it up. They have some great freebies and stuff plus it is a great place to mingle within the scrap community without it being as large as DST yet. I'm sure it will be though eventually.

Wow!! I am rambling on and on today. I am so glad that you guys are used to me. Random and rambly. At least it doesn't seem realy busy in here today. You know how when you get really tired you start talking on and on about nothing just to stay awake without even thinking about it? I think that is where I am at today. LOL!!

LindaS - August 6?? Seriously? We always start on the day after labor Day or the Wednesday before, depending on the school district. Usually when Labor Day is late they start the week before, but not this year for some reason. I'm glad though because we always go and see DMB over Labor Day weekend so it will be nice to come back on Monday and not have to start school until Wednesday...but still. It makes school go late. Summers work like here though. Summer never usually starts until late June/early July here so the school year works perfect for our weather. That would be horrible for our kids to miss summer by starting school in August.

Sandra - Bagels?? Yum!! I would love an asiago bagel from panera. It is too far away today and spending money is bad!! Bad Clara!! getting back into the groove of work is so hard. I always either didn't work or worked part time, so when I was in school and had to do my externship 32 hours a week plus a class a week it was a major change for me. Now it is just how it is. It does take awhile but you will get used to it and it will be easier for you and you won't be so tired eventually. Have fun getting Piper all ready for Kindergarten. Wow!! 2 in school will be a big change for you.

Chris - I am so glad that you get my randomness. I so wish you didn't live on the opposite side of the country because I just know we are two peas in a pod. Hopefully we will find out next year in cozumel. I am soooo hoping we'll be able to swing it next year. It is on the wrong side of Mexico for us though, so tix will probably be a little spendy. Isn't it strange hearing about kids going back to school already? It weirds me out thinking of being in school in August. I hope you enjoy Ice Age. I saw it last week and I thought it was great. It cracked me up.

LindaW - I'll bet the shower will be awesome. Having kids so far apart is strange. Mine are 4 1/2 years apart. I had to start from scratch with everything. Because we are military it is so hard to cart all your stuff around so many times and we moved 5-6 times between the kids. We started getting rid of stuff after about move number 3-4. I hate moving. But we didn't have much. Plus then we were having agirl so I wanted fun pretty stuff instead of boy stuff...including a gorgeous crib. eventually, I am going to need to figure out how to get that packaged up, but I think Addie is going to be just fine in it as a toddler bed for at least another year. Ooooh, rambling again...I'm sure you will have an awesome shower and she will be totally ready at all the right times. You are such a great mom and grandma taking care of your kids and grandbabies. I love that you do it because you love it and not because your kids expect it or need it. I hope when my kids grow up I am able to be the same way with them. My mo does great but she lives just over an hour away and works full time (well she did until just recently, now she works heavy part-time) so she's not able to do that stuff as much.

Okay ladies...I am off. Going to ramble on FB or something now, or maybe watch a movie. We'll see. Ciao ladies!!

Hey everybody! Again, I'm pressed for time, but I did want to say Hi! I'm going to make a LO with Merkee stuff of Jen's new haircut. Hopefully tonight! it went well. I love the shop, and I'll be sure to take the girls there every time from now on. Well, at least Jenny. Atha's so easy to do at home. Her hair is just a shorter straight bob. We couldn't get her to focus for much more.

Mom's been kind of worn out today. I think she's been doing too much lifting of little girls for her back. I keep trying to make her quit it, but she keeps doing it. Tomorrow is her last day here, and then she leaves early Thursday morning. Then we'll pack and leave on Friday morning for Pennsylvania. I will be bringing my laptop, but I don't know if there will be any wireless service anywhere we go, I kind of doubt it. Well, maybe I'll get a lot of scrapping done. We'll see if I'm even able to boot the thing up. I may be REALLY busy with the girls.

CHRIS- YES!!! The ginger oil helps! I put some on Jenny's wrists when she was throwing up, too, and I can't be certain, but it seemed to help her too. THANKS so much! I've been dousing myself in cooooling cucumber! Mmmmm!

Clara- I post all my LO's at DigiScrapAdicts, and never get any comments there. LOL. But I do really like the forums and the idea of the place. I like the funny designer interviews they have. Also, my husband and I tried to watch "He's Just Not That Into You," I thought it would be good because it seemed to have a good cast and all, but we couldn't even finish it. The women DID seem super whiny, and the whole thing was just kind of depressing to me. The relationships were so empty and sad. But then I'm pregnant, so I overreact to everything these days.

Sandra- bagels sound awesome, actually! Mmmm! Glad you got a sit down brekkie, and hope your day was great.

Waving hi to the Lindas and everybody else!! You'll probably see me tomorrow. ;-)

Welll, I just totally chopped my hair off. I love it!! i have decided that I am tired of feeling like crap so i went and got it cut and got a little bit of makeup on so I can feel a little bit like I don't look so yucky all the time. I am loving my hair. I'll have to get dh to take some pics tonight and change my profile pic. You'll have to let me know what you think. I want to dye it tonight too. we'll see.

Hi everyone! This is a quick drive by! Its 8.45 Wednesday morning downunder and I have to prepare for a meeting at 9.30............just wanted to say hello to everyone, hope everyone had a great day and has a great night.......and also for Chris and LindaW here is a link about our Australia's national flower the wattle.
http://www.aussie-info.com/identity/flora/index.php
The first page of this link just shows you some of the native Aussie plants, down the screen there is the wattle info with another link if you want to read more about it. I have several species of wattle growing and they all flower at different times of the year, also have heaps of bottlebrushes which the lorikeet parrots just love! ok, gotta run, night everyone!! xo

*Waves* Sorry I missed everyone today :( It was errands day Part I! Tomorrow will be Part II! Ugh! The laundry is screaming to me to get washed.....I am just politely ignoring it at this point *LOL* So that's on my list for tomorrow too. Busy busy busy.

Chris - No rain at all...just a few sprinkles but dark and cloudy out :( Where did my sunshine go! Saw your pics from the Lake....wow that looks like such a fun place - no wonder you all love going :)

LindaW - Well I wish you some quiet time so you can enjoy your new cutie pie that you are waiting for (((hugs)))

To everyone else....will try and catch up tomorrow!!! Hope you had a fab one!

Hi all! Just here checking in...it's so nice to see some cheery people. DH and I had a major fight tonight, just like the kind we had before our divorce, almost to the point of physical. I won't go into details but it was bad. I'm hurt knowing he hasn't changed at all. Maybe after a day or two but right now he thinks he is in the right. It's about 'his' money (LOL Clara) and my ordering satellite internet with my debit card which is on 'his' acct which I thought was 'ours', he says I didn't talk with him about this and I did. The kids and I pay for our internet but I couldn't swing the install fee and first month at the same time. Now he's decided he's going to turn off our satellite TV...which I doubt but still. There's lots more but I don't want to go on and on and overshare,LOL. Don't know if we can make it through this.
