Good Monday Morning Ladies!!
Hi Linda.....Hope you have a fab day back at work!! My DH is going back after 10 days off too...BOO...he is a tad bit grumpy about it too!! Anyway, have a great day!!
I hope everyone who pops in today has a WONDERFUL day today!!
I gotta run...Mom called last night and we are headed to Charlottesville to UVA Medical Center, to take my aunt. She is in bad shape, and had totally been denied the proper medical attetion she needs around here! It's very bad horror story, which I will fill you in on later...Gotta run...

Makes me not want to complain about my arm. If you saw my FB page - you already know that I got stung by a bee twice - and my arm hurts But that is *nothing* to be concerned about.... my thoughts are with you and your Aunt.
It also makes me angry (not to get political again) but I truly do *not* understand what is wrong with out health care system that people cannot get the care that they need!!! (Well I do understand, its called lobbyists, insurance companies that put the bottom $ over people's lives, and Big Pharma....whew-- /end rant!)
Sorry... touchy subject with me.....plz forgive me... these things slip out....
Anyway, On to happier and less heated topics
Linda W- do you have a tablet? You might want to get one of them.... I have an old and small Graphire, but I love being able to use it for scrapping. The pen is so much more comfortable to use. I use the mouse for "regular" internet stuff, but the pen is way perfect for scrapping.
LindaS- good sleep!! Yes!! I love it! I actually have been feeling pretty good the last week or so. We go back to the dr tomorrow so we'll see what she says!
Dawn, how is our Davy doing today? Any more clues as to what s/he is?
Kat- I am so glad that you had a great day for Nick's party! What did he end up getting with his GC's?
Sandra- last day before the new job! Are you getting excited??

To top off your day, I am blaming you for my bee stings. (Nah, I am jsuts kidding ya!) But silly me- when I was making up the oil blend for you for your m/s, I dripped a bit of tangerine essential oil on my t-shirt. When I went out for yard work, I didn't think muvh of it, until the bee wouldn't leave me alone. So yeah, it all your fault!
neet (Please someone tell me what your name is!)- awesome pics! Looks like you had a great day. MAW is such a great org. too. Great turnout (from what I can see of the bikes in the background, and I am sure there was much more)
Dawn- too bad that you don't live near my. My vet has a wonderful vet as part of his group that takes care of small mammals. I checked in with them about it when we got Scott's rats. We never brought them in, and by th e time we saw Scabbers tumor, it was way to late to do anything
yeah, it stinks that it has to be so expensive... but you can't take a chance....
As a side note... they say that pet owners resemble their pets and vice versa- and that goes in looks and personality... did it ever make you wonder why you have such wacky pets?
I know we always do- we have some of the weirdest animals ever! And almost all of our pets have picked us, not us picking them..... why is that?
Gotta head out soon, and go food shopping blech.
And of course... fight with the pharmacy when I try to pick up some Rx's. No- not really fighting with the pharmacy, they are awesome to us...its just so frustrating to have to fight w/ the insurance co. just to get refills- of generics no less!

Chris-LMBO! You have me pegged, don't ya?! Yes, I do think my pets resemble me, spoiled, eat everything in sight, pampered, mischievous, curious, fun, nuts, and did I mention spoiled?
I think Davy is back to 'normal', must be over the 'heat' spell. S-he didn't come bounding out of the cage thumping, not one thump this morning, not humping my leg either! thank goodness
. Just hope this lasts!

Chris - Ha Ha! My name is Jeanye. You can call me NeeNee if it is easier on you. NeeNee is my nickname, thus where the Neet comes from........NeeNee is prob much easier to remember and what most of my close friends and family call me. Linda S - Awww! I know that sucks to go back to work after a long va-k. Not only cuz you have to go back but, now you have to deal with all the crap that happened and piled up while you were gone! Hope you have a fab day!
Linda W - Wow! Hope your Aunt is okay! Really sad how you have to fight doctors/hospitals to get proper care and get them to pay attention to you!
Today I have an appointment with the Rhuematologist and some work to do for my WAH job before I head out for a short VA-K on Wednesday morning.
I hate "working". LOL It is so hard for me to stay focused on my work when I want to surf the digi scrap world or just plain scrap.
I also want to point out to everyone that I passed the 100 post mark!!! yay for me! I set a 500 post goal for July. I better get busy with some more posting!

quickie for me here! Big day today!! omgosh...as you could see in the other thread, CORA IS 15 today!!! omgosh!!! It was only yesterday I went into labor at 1:30am and went into the hospital around 11am...then had to walk, walk, walk, until FINALLY she was born at 3:56pm!! fairly easily, I might add...a bit of Demoral to help the pain, but overall...she's a dream!
So she's getting her hair completely chopped off...then possibly get her ear double pierced!! that rebel!!! then we'll go to music lessons, then she goes to fashion design camp, then we all go out for her birthday dinner at Jason's Deli!! Then i'm coming home and d/ling all my pics and uploading them to facebook, possibly with a bit of scrapping, too!!
I also have to start planning to pack for Alaska...I leave Friday...*sigh* I can't wait!! I need a vacation!!

good afternoon! I've been lazy this morning... finished up a book I was reading, took a shower, gave the kids a bath and am making some lunch... then it's off to get a haircut and take the kids to the dentist...
Aunt Liz was rushed to UK Hospital today (she's the one with terminal thyroid cancer) and its not looking good... I'm waiting for any updates... I know I need to go over there, but I also don't know if I can... its just too close to Daddy... especially since it's his SIL... I watched Daddy waste away, and the last time I saw Aunt Liz she looked good... I don't want to remember her the way I remember Daddy...
Chris - I am excited... although orientation tomorrow will be extremely boring lol...

always chatty at the O!!
Good morning ladies. I need some coffee and don't have any. I think I need to take a walk next door and get some. I didn't sleep so great last night. I went to bed late after watching a movie and playing on the computer. So, I was watch Valkyrie last night and as the movie ended I realized that Tom Cruise was playing a german officer and I thought he was a US soldier that was under cover or something. I am such an idiot sometimes...so if you watch Valkyrie...you know that he was a German officer. I was doing some uploading and stuff. Oooops!! Lol!! Then right as I was about to turn off my computer Addie came walking into our room. She is horrible to sleep with but we let her climb into our bed anyway. She never comes into our room at night, so it was nice to have her loving on us.
So, we have been potty training hard core for a few weeks and it is going awesome. The big problem we were having is that we lock her in her room so she can't get out and go potty as quick as she needs to in the morning. So we put her little potty in her room and that is working awesomely. She has been using it better than she does the rest of the day. I don't think she had a single accident all weekend. So excited. We are still having to remind her to go potty. She isn't thinking of it on her own yet...but she's getting there. I have a great potty training layout up of her. You should check it out here.
So, I had a pretty good weekend. I found out I had mice in my closet under the stairs, which didn't thrill me but I got the whole closet cleaned out. I am amazingly going to sell most of my scrapbook stuff. Eeeek!! I have been holding onto it for so long. It will be nice to have it cleared out of my closet along with a lot of other stuff. I am having a garage sale the first weekend of August. I am just so ready to get rid of stuff. We have so much crap. It is horrible. I hate having such a cluttered house. Hopefully getting rid of stuff with help. we have abunch of big things that I will put on craigslist ahead of time, so hopefully it sells and we get rid of a bunch of crap.
So then on Saturday I got a text from a friend of mine...kind of a panic asking if I could help her by being at her house while her 17 YO daughter was picking up some stuff. Basically her daughter and ex-husband were trying to set it up so that her daughter could leave and stay with her dad because her mom wasn't home. She is such a good kid but is just spazzing out. So, I went over there and basically just had my presense there while my friend talked to her daughter without a big blow up. Her daughter tried to embarrass her but didn't blow up. I thought it was funny how hard she was trying to embarrass her mom yet only embarrassing herself. Then I talked to her for a bit. It was nice being able to help out and to know what may be in store for me when I have teenagers. Ethan was a super helper and watched Addie for a bit. He didn't like it so much though.
Well, enough rambling...
LindaS - Welcome back to reality. That is the worst. A couple of days later it is good but getting back into the swing of things can be so hard. I hope the transition back to life is going well. I hope you had a great time.
LindaW - Oh my!! I am so sorry to hear about your aunt. I hope everything works out. Keep us updated and we'll pray for her.

Jeanye - I understand how hard it is to stay focused on your job when there is all the world of digiscrapping out there. That is why I have a job where I don't have to work much. I'm an x-ray tech but I work in a small clinic and don't have many patients so I fill my time on the internet and in Photoshop. Life is good.
Sally - How exciting that you became a mom 15 years ago today. How cool is that?? Sounds like Cora has all sorts of fun stuff planned for today. I can't wait to see her hair and all that.
Sandra - That is a hard situation for you. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I wish there were some words that could make things easier with your aunt but there aren't. You'll just have to stumble your way along and do what you can. I'm sorry you have to deal with this situation. Big hugs. Are you starting your job tomorrow? Yay for you!! I had a tiny accident in the grocery store parking lot yesterday ... misjudged the space in the parking spot, and hit the car next to me, and the owner of the car was standing right there. He was nice about it, thankfully. Accidents ... AAAUGH! There's a little damage to my front bumper so we'll see how that goes with insurance.

Hey guys. Quickie from me. I'm still cleaning my house, and editing and uploading pics from Jacob's and Boden's 2nd birthday party yesterday. It was a great party.
Their actual birthday is on Thursday (16th). I'm trying to convince Eric to take us to the zoo for their birthday, but we'll see.
Today we are off to a pool in Vermillion with the kids. Why we are driving 1/2 hour and paying to go to a pool when we have a nice one at our house, is beyond me. Can't argue with my hubby when he gets these ideas, though.

Nothing real exciting is happening in my life at the moment, but I am going over to have lunch with one of my DIL's tomorrow and her two boys. Haven't seen them since the party so will be nice to catch up. The boys are home for two weeks school holidays so no doubt Mum will need some adult company!! OK, to catch up on everyone...........

Gotta agree with the graphic pen/tablet........I bought one about a month ago and it is just awesome, really love it, its just so great for doing fine detail work like erasing around a shape. Love it!!

Hi Jeanye, I totally agree that trying to stay focused on work instead of digi scrapping is REALLY HARD!! I sometimes wish that I couldn't get internet access at all at work! I can't access the forums or blogs which I suppose is a blessing in disguise!! Otherwise I would be out of a job! hahaha! and WTG on passing the 100 mark!! yay!!
quickie for me here! Big day today!! omgosh...as you could see in the other thread, CORA IS 15 today!!! omgosh!!! It was only yesterday I went into labor at 1:30am and went into the hospital around 11am...then had to walk, walk, walk, until FINALLY she was born at 3:56pm!! fairly easily, I might add...a bit of Demoral to help the pain, but overall...she's a dream!
Sally, wow! your 'little' one turning 15! time does fly bye doesn't it!! Sounds like you had a big day planned, hope everything went well!! and I am soooooo jealous of your trip to Alaska!! I really hope we get to see some photos!!!

Hi Clara! I haven't seen that movie yet, will need to get it out. and that's fantastic about Addie and her potty training!! yay!! before you know it she will be running off by herself without any prompting!! and YUK! about the mice....... we tend to get them in the house during winter but they don't last very long! we have fox terrier and they just LOVE to hunt and kill things!! LOL! he was taught from a puppy not to chase the wallabies or birds that come to feed but he has my approval for the mice! LOL! after he kills them he even carries them outside for me!!!
Hi ME! oh sorry to hear about your accident!! so glad the guy was nice about it!! and good luck with the insurance! I 'cooked my engine' last year after hitting a kangaroo going to work one morning........apparently impact damaged the radiator so after continuing to drive it for another 20mins the car just STOPPED! with steam billowing out of the hood! quite scary! the insurance was ok about it, especially BECAUSE I was a woman!! LOL!! Supposedly women wouldn't THINK to check under the bonnet so my insurance covered a new engine. LOL! but I don't think that will happen twice! so I will have to stop and check if that happens again!!!

I made it back. Not a bad day at all considering how things have a tendency to "pile up". I did cheat a bit last week and logged in from home a few times to get through emails. But it was so worth it today when I didn't have that in addition to everything else.

My aunt is 58 and is in the last few days of colon cancer. It's getting pretty rough now. She woke up crying last night. She was confused and thought that she had died.

Hey guys. Quickie from me. I'm still cleaning my house, and editing and uploading pics from Jacob's and Boden's 2nd birthday party yesterday.
Their actual birthday is on Thursday (16th). I'm trying to convince Eric to take us to the zoo for their birthday, but we'll see.
Today we are off to a pool in Vermillion with the kids. Why we are driving 1/2 hour and paying to go to a pool when we have a nice one at our house, is beyond me. Can't argue with my hubby when he gets these ideas, though.

So she's getting her hair completely chopped off...then possibly get her ear double pierced!! that rebel!!! then we'll go to music lessons, then she goes to fashion design camp, then we all go out for her birthday dinner at Jason's Deli!! Then i'm coming home and d/ling all my pics and uploading them to facebook, possibly with a bit of scrapping, too!!
I also have to start planning to pack for Alaska...I leave Friday...*sigh* I can't wait!! I need a vacation!!
okay...off to get these kiddos fed!
