Hi My O-Fam! How is everyone this weekend? We have a really yucky weather forecast. Rain both days. Such a bummer. Gary built me a gorgeous planter for our patio while I was out yesterday. It is 8 ft long and 1 1/2 ft wide/high. We have terrible soil and sun for veggies in my yard, so I try to put them into pots. But some of the plants really need more soil to grow better in. He built this so I can give my tomatoes and zucchini lots of room. I think we might try some strawberries too.
But with this weather I don't think I am gonna get too much done :(

But thats ok, I am feeling kind of lazy- Gary and I slept in til almost 10 am! Wow, that felt great! Guess I needed that sleep.

Dawn- hi hon!
OMG- just scrolled all the way down, how horribly scary and sad for that lady with e coli. Hope they can figure out where it came from and that no one else gets sick.
Enjoy your weekend!

ME- sounds like you have a fab weekend! Enjoy!

*pounce* tacoShell!!!!!! Yay!!!
Hugs!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clara- good luck withthe job search. I can totally understand needing time with your family. Coingrats on making Danielle's CT! I was on her CT for a year or so and her stuff really rocks!

Hi Sandra!

LindaW- hipe that your quiet day was nice- you need that once in a while. So sad about all of the dealerships. I had to make a run down the highway yesterday and almost all of the dealerships were either closed (Saturn and a Chrysler/Dodge) or just about empty.

Ona- TY so much for your healing thoughts- we sure need them. It has been a huge battle, physically, mentally and financially. I could not be so positive if it weren't for my O-Fam having my back and listening to me rant occasionally (ok- often!)
Hope you have a great weekend- I was LOL-ing about your dh.... men haha!

(((((((((((hugs My Nina Beana!!!!)))))))))))) Thanks for the special coffee
Please make sure that you are taking good care of yourself

To al my O-Fam- have a great day!

Here we go.

Hiii!

School is officially over on Wednesday. I feel I can breathe again! I've been so overwhelmed the last two weeks. Whew! I really need to clean my house today, otherwise I'd be scrapping like crazy. Tomorrow we have a busy day...a grad open house and birthday and we were supposed to have a baby shower. But my friend's water broke last night. She's 32 weeks, so we hope that everything will be o.k. She's getting antibiotics and they are trying to hold her off for 48 hours. If she can make it longer, she might be in there up to two weeks. I gotta dig out the preemie clothes for her.

How's everything going with all of you? Hope you have good weekends planned!

Good morning everyone. I went to bed early last night and so woke up early this morning. It wasn't bad though because Ethan was in our bed and we chit-chatted for a little bit until Addie came in and then we allplayed in bed for a little bit. I love these kinds of mornings. It is supposed to be gorgeous here this weekend. DH is taking E and his friend camping tonight so it will be just me and Addie. It will be fun. I might get some scrapping done or watch a chick flick or maybe even both. We'll see Tomorrow we are doing a mother's day lunch since we missed it last weekend. My mom was prepping for a colonoscopy. I was so proud of her for taking care of that. Now if she would just get a mammogram we'd be set.

Okay, my computer is being difficult so I'd better go.

Chris - I hope you can get your planting done or get nothing done at all and just relax today. Oh, and I am going to save money all by myself without pushing you around in a cart. I clipped coupons. Yay me!! Although I think the cart would be more fun. :)

Sara - Yay for Sara!! We've been missing you.

Love you all!! Have a fantastic weekend.

Mornin', ladies! :) Busy as usual here. Now that the summer camping season has started, I see little of my hubby. Last night he got home at about 1:45 a.m. I hate weekends without him. Bah. Because of his job, I don't look forward to summer.

We had a friend and her 2 kids visit yesterday - what a fun time. :) We don't get company too often since we are out in the boonies. It was so nice to chat with an adult IRL!

I go to my eye doc on Monday. I'm nervous but excited to get a specialist's opinion.

Chris - Yucky weather! It isn't raining here but it won't top 60. Ick. I am trying strawberries this year, at least I will if I get to see my mom soon. she is still sick. Yay for both you and Gary sleeping in! How fabulous. Eric let me sleep today. I'm getting a cold and have a killer headache.

Sara - I'm praying for your friend. I'm guessing from your post that Ben was early as well? My boys were born at 31 weeks 6 days. It was a long road but they are doing pretty dang awesome. I hope she can hang on a little. Is she in Omaha - so she has a good NICU handy? Our NICU was amazing - one of the best in the midwest since they remodeled. Lots of good thoughts her way!

Clara - Yay for good weather! I am jealous. :) Sounds like a fun girlie weekend!! I'm so glad your mom is getting checked out. I would love for my mom to take better care of herself. But - and I know you probably deal with this too - she just won't listen to me about her health. Hence she has been bedridden with a sinus infection/pneumonia for 2 weeks. I hope she gets that mammogram!!

Well, Eric is leaving for work soon and it will be just me and the wild trio again today and tonight. The days get long for me out in the boonies by myself. I considered packing them up and going to the Tulip Festival near MIL, but, we have been on the road so much the past 3 months that I just want to stay home. Sick of packing and unpacking and NOT sleeping in my own bed! :)

Have a great day ladies! :)

O.k. My living room and dining room are mostly picked up. Course...I have to take a break. hee hee

Chris - I hope things grow for you. I have a total black thumb. I've killed every plant/flower/etc that I have ever had except one batch of green peppers that I grew when I lived with my parents. But that turned out to just be the perfect spot for it and it rained a lot that summer. I tried a pot of strawberries last summer, but they died. We don't have a good spot since our backyard faces west.

Clara - I hope you enjoy your day of scrapping and girlie movie. =)

Tali - I feel for you honey. I wish I could road trip up there to keep you company. I don't get totally out from school until next Friday really. (Kids done on the 19th, staff stuff on 20th and 21st. Ben was a preemie too...I was 33 weeks and 1 day. We were at Bergan because my MIL was an L&D nurse there a few years before that. That's where my friend is too. I like my perinatologist guy, so hopefully that's the same guy she gets. And the NICU supposedly just got renovated, so it should be good. But it was great when we were there. Thankfully, Ben just need to eat and grow. Until the day we were supposed to take him home of course. There were two sets of twins being born and another new baby that needed in the NICU. They were going to send Ben home, but he had two episodes where he stopped breathing. So we got moved to peds, which was a little traumatic. Just because here we were to take him home and they tell us he stopped breathing twice. But we can't stay in the nice, protected, nurses always there NICU...we have to move to an open floor on Peds. But it was fine and Ben was fine. He went home on a monitor, but he only really had one episode in the weeks he was on the monitor. I'm convinced that he just was a shallow breather when he was sleeping and the monitor didn't always pick it up.

It will be a trip down memory lane to pack those clothes up. =)

Have a good day ladies!

Hi everyone! Its Sunday morning here so my weekend is just about all done! Off to do the washing and general cleaning up in a moment......have a LOVELY day yesterday, all to myself....didn't do any housework and virtually stayed in my PJ's all day!! DH got home from the truck show about 9.30pm and wasn't tired so we watched a movie called The Happening with Mark Walberg (?) in it and what a waste of TIME!How can they make pathetic movies like that?? doesn't anyone preview/test run before putting them out for the general public!! Aaaaaargh! That is just so annoying. Anyways, we slept in to this morning, its 8.30am herin the eastern side of Aussie land and we are in for another glorious autumn day.
Chris - good luck with your vegies! I tried planting vegies when we first moved out here to our property but between the wallabies, possums and King parrots I gave up!!! :)
Sara - hi! it seems like you have certainly been snowed under, glad to hear you can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!!
Clara - sounds like fun, having a girlie night.........my daughter is grown up and lives away....... we used to have heaps of girlie nights and it was so much fun. I often go up to visit and we do the same........we sit in bed with lots of yummies watching all the weepy movies!! Love it! :)
Tali - nothing worse then being stuck at home with little ones constantly is there? :) I remember those days quite well, LOL! I used to spend a lot of time on the phone to my sister back in those days,!! Good luck with your eye visit on Monday.
ME - congrats on joining the CT for Danielle, its gonna be fun!!

Hi to everyone else as well and hope you all have had a great Saturday!! I'm off to do the washing......I know, it is sooooooo exciting!!! :) cya xx

Hey girls...she had the baby late afternoon. He was 4lbs 4oz and 17 inches. Last I heard, he didn't have a name yet. He sounds like he is doing pretty well. They had him on 100% oxygen just to give him a rest and not have him work so hard. Mom is doing good I guess...I've been getting everything through text message from another friend. We're heading out to the hospital tomorrow morning. She was very relieved when I said I had three tubs of preemie clothes she could have.

I'll check in later tomorrow. Have a busy morning and afternoon. TTYL

Ona - Aaaahhh! I'm glad you reviewed the Happening. I just added that to our Netflix queue - I adore Mark Wahlberg so I had to add it. Might take it off now!

Sara - glad to hear he is doing well. He is a decent size. :) Jacob was 4-2 and Boden was 3-8. I hope she is feeling well as well!

Hi girls,

I had minor heart failure yesterday when I got the blue screen of death on the laptop!! Of course, I was being reckless and not backing up recently. AAAUGH. DH managed to save the hard drive. Whew! I promise to be a good girl and back up now. Do any of you back up to an online service? Or do you just save to CD? I will admit - I haven't done this before so I have learned my lesson.

Hiya Chris! What a sweet DH Gary is to make the planter!

Sara - lucky you, school's out! Ours doesn't finish until mid June. Do you work during the summer too? So glad your friend's baby is okay!!

Clara - okay you were right about the baby fever. I went to see my friend's 6 week old. what a cutie. I don't think C. was ever that small!! LOL

Ona - Your day sounds heavenly. PJ's all day!! :)

Tali - did you get to the Tulip festival?

Good Sunday morning ladies!! Hope you are all having a great weekend!! Just thought I would pop in quickly...I just have to tell you..Clara and Ona...I took your advice about the CT calls...except on DST...I applied for about 4 (1 team and 3 one kit calls)...and to my HUGE surprise...I was Picked for one of the one kit calls, and to the team I applied to...I just thought I would be "practicing" just to see what to do....FUN FUN!! Thanks for the advice!!!! OMG can you tell I am such a newbie!!

ME...I back up to an external hard drive everyday, and once a week my computer backs up automatically to Dell backup service (came as part of my package when I bought my laptop). Glad your hubby saved the day!!

Chris...sweet sweet man to build you a present while you were out!!! gotta love him for that!!

Sara...hope your friends baby does well...my daughter delivered premature with both of hers...one at weeks (he was in NICU for a month...but get this...at 29 weeks he was born at 5 lbs!!) and one at 34 weeks...she was little...but did wonderful...

Clara...sounds like a fun morning in bed!! I miss that with my girls...but I get some flashback when my g-babies spend the night...they love to get in bed with NANA!

Tali...I bet it is wonderful out in the boonies!! I miss it!! we used to live out like that when my girls were tiny...

Ona...thanks for the review on the flick...I rent all the time...I will take that off my watch list...but I did watch a movie on Friday...Taken....GREAT movie!!

Ok...so my DH just got up and is squawking about coffee...and I have run out:(...so I am headed to the coffee shop to pick up a cup for us both...and just might have to swing by the donut shop...YUM!!

Good morning! Its Monday morning here!
You guys will be ready to head off to noddy land shortly so I hope you all had a nice weekend. Its cloudy here this morning and not quite as chilly..........I am work and the company is holding a big graduation ceremony for the first intake of apprentices that have finished there 4yr stint. There is a big marquee set up and some of the bigwigs are starting to arrive.......I think I will just keep a low profile and stay in my office which is in another building a little way away from the tent! It really annoys me, to see how the marketing people can run around and spend big bucks 'promoting the compnay' when we have all been told to cut our expenses and 'tighten our belts'......... hmmmmmm, I could think of a couple of executives and marketing people that I would LOVE to tighten a belt on!!! :) OK, have had my whinge for the day, best get some work done, close my door, and just pretend I am not here!!

Chris - how did you go with your planting? hope you got it all done!

Sara - a little boy! how adorable! hope everything is going well with Mum & bub! one of my grandson's was a premmie 3lbs 11oz. He's 8 years old in a couple of weeks and while a little bit small for his age he's keeps up with everyone else!

Tali - I like Mark Wahlberg too which is what prompted me to hire the movie out too, but I tell ya, it is one crappy movie.....can't believe he actually agreed to be in the movie after he read the script, some of the dorky things he actually had to say in the movie! LOL! Can you tell I didn't like it! :)

ME - that would have been a scare!!! yikes! I keep all of my photos and scrappin stuff on an external drive and then back this up once a week on another external drive. The one I use on the laptop is a small portable one so I can bring it to work with me and plug into my work laptop if I have to post something. LOL! but it's getting filled up so might need to upgrade to a higher capacity one. How lucky your husband was able to rescue it!! My DH is good to rescue me if my car breaks down but he's hopeless with computers!!! :)

LindaW - Yes! That movie Taken with Liam Neilson was the best! Lots of action but I just like Liam........he is TALL........LOL! I am 5' 11" and I looooooooove tall men!! but I think he is a good actor too! droool :) and CONGRATS on your selection to DST!! I can't access a lot of sites through the work network and DST is one of them and all blogs as well so I have to wait until I am home to look at those sites........real pain! you would think that work would be more considerate?? :) so who are you CT-ing with?? will have to pop over and have a look while I am posting there!

Hi to everyone else that drops in and hope you are all having a pleasant Sunday night!! bye xx

Hi everyone! Thanks for all the well wishes. Mom and baby are doing great. Baby just got a name a little bit ago...Grant. Grant is off the vent but still under the billilights. Mom is just fine. They really don't know why she went into labor. Perhaps an infection in the placenta. But everyone is doing really well! It was a little fun to go back and see the nurses that took care of my "little baby boy". Ben was 4 lbs 6oz and 7 weeks early.

Congrats Linda on your CTs!!

Ona - I totally understand how you are feeling. Like when our principal told us we had to cut our budgets, but then flew off to New Orleans for a conference. Crazy.

Well hope everyone had a good weekend!
