Uh oh-- beware- the faery is totally discombobulated today! Serious spinning in circles lalalalal-- wheeeeeeeee!!!

yesterday I was ok- today, not so much

So here we are Hump Day!
A crazy one for sure, for me. Cleaning for my client, meeting Cait and our friends at the lake for a couple of hours, them home to shower and off to an ortho appt.

However.... looking out my window ATM- not sure if the lake is going to work- very cloudy/foggy. It should burn off, but then we might be getting the t-storms in.
Ahhh NJ summers LOL

I am thinking I am not going to hit my posting goal this month. I am still almost 200 posts away. :(
So if no one minds, I think I am going to do personals one post at a time :D

Hi cornelia! How is Amelie today? You must be getting so excited for you family to visit?
How old is your sister? She and Amelie are going to have so much fun together. And hopefully that means you can get a tiny break!

Sandra- How is Matthew- saw on FB that you are getting him to drink some sprite-- whew! Hope that helps him. I dopn't know if you have any teas that he would drink- chamomile, peppermint and ginger are all good for upset stomachs- Caitlyn likes hers with agave nectar or honey. She'll take little sips of it.

Hang in there- sounds like he is turning the corner!

Hi Linda W! Have agreat time at the shower- tell Sharron I am wishing her lots of happiness and most importantly- a quick, easy L&D and a healthy happy baby!

Have you tried melatonin? Our llmd (oh- sorry- Lyme Literate MD-- very important distinction in Lyme Land :D) has us on that right before bed. It helps us a lot- although I need to take low dose xanax as well.

Sorry to hear your broom was so loud- and LOL at Cameran!

(Ok this is annoying me LOL)

NeeNee- how did your 3 2 "kids" do at the dentist? IMHO, men and drs turn them right into kids.

Sally- how was your lunch date? My BFF and I are getting together on Friday w/ the kids and we are trying to figure out a way to get some girl talk time in- esp since tween girls are so nosy buhahah!

Clara- Clara- I sear, I do not know how you can give up coffee. It is my life blood LOLOL! But, something that helped me when I was pg and had to cut out caffeine was to be able to drink somethinbg hot- so I switched to herbal teas. Do you drink tea? That might give you a lift- and green tea is so good for you- and white tea is even better.
Tell Ethan Bon Voyage and to have a great trip-
Sorry to laugh at the sunscreen, I know it is not fun. Cait's very Irish skinned friend came w/ us to the beach yesterday and I was super insane with the sunscreen for her. Cait has my very Italian skin and we are both really tan, even with using SPF 30 and 45.
On our honeymoon, Gary missed spots on his feet and has weird purple swirls onthem :D

Oh and Clara- I think *you* didn't get the memo- the world revolves around ME (no not our ME but *me*) hahahahahahah!

Hi DoodleBop-- welcome to the Daily Oo's-- we are so happy that you are joining us. These threads can get a bit wacky -- an addicting-- so consider yourself warned :)
Where do you live? Mosquito bites- ugh.
A really good trick for the itching- is witch hazel and if you have lavender essential oil, a drop of that in a Tbsp of witch hazel, dab it ont he bites with a Q-tip, and that helps a lot

good morning! Matthew is still pretty lethargic this morning... I'm mixing sprite with pedialyte, and have gotten him to drink about 2 oz of pedialyte mixed with about 3 oz of sprite so far and he's started on a new cup with 3oz of sprite/3oz pedialyte... but he's not out of the woods yet... he has to come back from the dehydration so pediatrician said to call early afternoon and let them know how he's doing... plus we're still waiting for the results for the specimens I took to the lab last night... he was up 2x with potty issues so that's still going too... he slept alot yesterday which showed how wilted his little body is... I hope this is the beginning of the turn-around for him!

Chris - I hope this means he's getting better... we just have to get enough in him to turn around the fluids he's already lost... keep your fingers crossed!

Sandra- *fingers crossed for him*

and blerg! Guess hwta? My day has gotten wonkier.
Seriously!

But I think it is going to work out ok. My client called at 8 am to cancel cleaning today :(
I would have just gone to the lake for the day, but the weather is not looking good.

We had been trying to figure out a time to go see Harry Potter, so now we do!
We have to get out of her by 10 to catch the 11:15 show, so we can grab lunch on the way home and then get my butt tot he ortho on time.

I am so not good with confusion!

always chatty at the O!!
Good morning!! It is still way too hot here. Addie couldn't sleep last night and we had left her door open, which we don't usually do, and she kept coming into our room...no matter how many times she was put to bed. She is so darn cute when she wakes up in th emiddle of the night, but it is the middle of the night so I am too tired to enjoy it. This morning she was a mess. She did not sleep well at all. Neither did Ethan. DH ended up sleeping on the couch after Addie came to our bed for the 4th time. It was a rough night. I wish a couple of weeks of hot weather justified needing an AC but I just can't do it. Not to mention we would probably get a nasty HOA note if we put in a window unit or something. I had the best window unit when we lived in Italy. It would turn our living room into a refrigerator. When I was preggo with Ethan we moved our bed into the living room and slept there. I miss that house. So, I am trying to put the heat in perspective...but I'm having a hard time. I know a lot of people who are deployed and in that horrible 130 degree heat, but that doesn't seem to make me feel any cooler.

Okay...I'm mentally all over the place at the moment and very easily distracted...so I'm off to do some personals.

Chris - I'll tell you what...nope compromise isn't going to work...the world just needs to revolve around me. Me as in Clara, not Mary Ellen (Sorry ME). LOL!! I hope your weather burns off. I'll give you some of mine. I'm being such a big cry baby about it, but then again...so is the rest of the greater Seattle area. We are just not made for this heat. Sounds like you have a crazy day planned. Let me know what you think of HP. I hope it all comes together smoothly. Have fun at the ortho. Hahaha!!

Linda - Have fun getting the food for the shower. I love little parties like showers. Just time to sit around and gab and be silly with the girls. Plus all the yummy snacky food. I love it. I hope you have fun putting it on.

Ona - I keep forgettng that while all of us are roasting in the northern hemisphere you are getting all warm and fuzzy under your blankets and sweatshirts. I'm glad you are enjoying your work stuff. How long until you get to head home??

Sandra - poor matthew. I hope the fluids he is taking in are helping. I wish there were an easy fix for him. Poor little guy. Keep us updated on how he is doing.

Sara - that did sound like a very crazy day yesterday. I hope you have had a much better day today.

Clara...So sorry you had a bad night...(((HUGS))) to your whole family...maybe the heat won't bother you tonight, since your exhaustion will probably make you all sleep better tonight!! Did you get all of your layouts done?? Glad to help push you!!

Sandra....I am happy to hear the Will is on the mend....worries over your babies being sick is no fun!! thanks for the coffee!!!

Ona...sounds like you are have a great work trip!! Hope you are sleeping well now!!

Chris...well..your day has just been all over the place!! But sounds like it all worked out in the end!! the movie sounds fun...and hope your ortho visit goes well!! I have not tried melatonin...I did not know this...Hmmmm....and I have a prescription for xanax too..but I don't take them very often....I am ANTI any kind of scripts....not that I am against them so much as I just don't like taking them!! To be very honest...I am scared to....there has been so much addiction in our family...and the research I find about addiction is that it can be an inherited trait.

WEll...I am off...Hi to everyone else who may pop in!!

LindaW - try the melatonin. It is a naturally occurring chemical (neurotransmitter?)in the brain that helps promote sleep.
The normal dies is 3 mg a bit before bed. I know many Lymies who take 9-12 mg/night with no issue.

I am very careful with the Xanax too. I try to switch off from a week of klonpin anf then a week of xanax so I don't build up tolerance to it.

But go for the melatonin- you can get it at most supermarkets, drug stores, health foods stores etc

well, Matthew is definitely better... he's had 4 big cups of sprite/pedialyte and while I don't let them have that much soda generally, if it gets him to drink, I'm not messing with the system... he actually ate a hotdog for dinner too... plus he's more animated today... definitely a good thing!

Dawn M-- wow- I didn't know that about satellite! That is crazy! Are you in a contract? Any way to get out of it?
How is Davy??

I need a Davy-fix!

We are ditching the satellite, we only had it 1 day, LOL. We have to take it down and send it back and we lost our install fee. DH is not happy since that's what we had the huge fight about last week...oh well.

Davy is good :). S-he had a blast last night cause I was working on the puter trying to get satellite junk off and my old internet set back up. Took most of the evening. I left the door to our room open and s-he ran all over the living room doing binkies (that is what bunny people call the cute hops of glee rabbits do when they kick up their back feet), DH got to pet him which he hasn't really got to do before. Davy was wiped out when I finally brought him back in the room and closed the door LOL.

Oh, and he loooves the new kitty, they play together very well :).

I'm soooo glad and I know you must be :). It's so scary when our babies get sick :(...oh please don't tell him I called him a baby, LOL. But I'm sure you KWIM, they're always our 'babies' aren't they? Give him a big ole kiss and hug from all of us!!!!

When my son was 7 he got strep real bad and it went to his kidneys...he had to have blood work everyday because his white blood cells were way too high in count...he was sick for 2 wks but luckily no permanent damage to his kidneys or heart which is a scare with strep...it can lead to scarlet fever, rheumatic fever among other serious conditions. That was a pretty scary time, ugh.

WEll...I am off...Hi to everyone else who may pop in!!

I sure hope you get some sleep tonight, my friend!!! You are soooo right about addiction tendencies being inherited but from what I was told about my grandma's, mom's, and uncle's alcoholism and rx drug addictions is that as long as I am aware of the possibility and use my common sense I should be ok. So far, so good anyway....I take an occasional Ambien or Xanax and I drink within reason socially and just keep in the back of my mind not to use it as a crutch. I think as long as you are careful you will be ok honey, use the med when you need to!!! We don't want you falling asleep on your keyboard, LOL.

It's been raining here since a little past noon! Boo! I just mowed yesterday and was hoping it would stay dry so that I don't have to "bale" the lawn when we get back from Sturgis next week.
My surprise didn't end up happening, my cousin could not fly up here because of the weather again. Small planes and thunder storms don't go well together. We'll do it another time I guess. The thought is very appreciated though!

Chris - I haven't forgotten that I promised you garden pictures. I planned to take them today - I wanted to pull a few more weeds first :) and then it rained. Maybe tomorrow?
Sandra - hope your little man is on the mend
LindaW - we have friends who use melatonin with their children to help them sleep. Seems to work great for them. Don't know much more than that about it though.
Cornelia - i saw you over on the introduce yourselves thread for the designer survivor challenge! Glad to see you there! Good luck!
