Happy Hump Day! I cannot believe it is Wed already. And the 19th! And here were are- finally getting summer weather. These poor kids are going to sweat their butts off when they go back to school if it stays like this. (I hope the 4th grade teachers bring nose plugs for after recess hehehe!)

I am sort of bummed. My kids were supposed to go to my SIL's for a sleepover tonight and Gary and I had a gift cert. for a fancy schmancy restaurant near them. I was going to pick up the kids tomorrow after work at my MIL's.
The plans got wonky and my SIL couldn't take them overnight. They live 45-50 mins away and about 10 mins past my MIL. The restaurant is pretty much in the middle. It didn't make sense to us to go go out for dinner and have the kids just hang out for an houir or so, for no reason. And I was not up to driving down, then home, then back down and home tonight-- then do it all over again for work tomorrow. I thought my kids would be bummed, but they are ok with it. We'll see the cousins at MIL's family reunion on Sat. I guess it works out ok. The last thing I want/need is more heavy food- I posted in the Healthy O's that I feel like a zeppole! Too much food this summer!

Thank you all for the sweet welcome back! It feels good to be missed LOL

Hi Dawn!! How are ya? I was thinking of you at the county fair when we walked through the Bunny Exhibits. We saw the Dutch bunnies (that is what Davy is, right?)There were some really sweet ones!
Gary doesn't remember this, but we went to this same fair when he first got sick, and before he was diagnosed w/ Lyme. So he had lots of wacky brain/neuro symptoms-- one being impulse control disorder. He wanted to bring home a bunny int he worst way. We were busting on him big time this year about which one we were going to get. The small bunnies are so cute- the big ones.... (lops?) ... I don't know, I think I'd just rather get a cat LOL

Oh oh oh!!!! I forgot to tell you all this story!
Right before we left last week, Gary was walking out of the family room and heard a squeaking sound in the curtains. Turned out that it was a little bat that must have come in overnight and got caught.
He and Scott carefully got a net and brought him outside. The 4 of us were looking at him saying how cute he was. Cait named him Vladimir!
It looked like his wing was broken at first so Gary put him over on a table under the hedge. Next time we looked back for him, he had flown away so hopefully he was all right.
I kept telling myself when I got home I had to share since you all think I am wacky. It is not just me- its my whole family! :D:D:D:D

Linda W- saw the pics of cookie making on FB! Too cute! You rock!
Oh wow, you are going to be lonely (not trying to rub it in) when C-man goes to school. But soon enough you'll have another g-baby to hold! Yay!!

Kat- hope your day was as fab as you wished!!! Glad I could spread some sunshine! ROTF at Nick-- congrats on the posts!!!!

Sally- I am so sorry I missed your party! And your toasts- I got Cora's PM when I got back home :( But you know how much I love and adore you!!!!
The concert sounds amazing!! You are soooo talented!

Clara-- I hear ya on the different "parent-running-deal." I didn't mind doing it all when Gary was working, but with him home, it gets up my butt when he doesn't. When he was really sick I knew it was hard. But when he feels ok- it drives me up a wall! But he is getting way better about it now.
I am so happy to hear that the daycare was able to figure out a better way to handle the biting. It sonds like she was bored. And in day care- kids tend to fall to the lowest common denominator. I used to teach a combined PreK class of 3, 4, 5's. Everyone settled behavior-wise to the youngest. Drove me crazy! LOL

WWW
I wish I didn't have to go food shopping today.
I wish I could scrap and make some fab lo's.
I want someone else to go food shopping for me instead!

Good morning my lovely friends :).

Chris-ROFL about the bat! I bet the poor thing was scared to death! I can see myself doing the same thing even though bats kinda freak me out. You should sooo get a bunny, the kids would adore it. I definitely recommend a Dutch or a lop(with the floppy ears) those are among the friendliest breeds. I'm taking DD to Orlando/Disney/Busch Gardens next month, we plan to be gone 5 days and I am already missing Davy, not sure I can stand to leave him :(. I thought about taking him but I'm worried it would stress him too much. DH and DS will be here but it's not the same as mama .

Clara-I missed the tooth story, is it Ethan or you that had problems? It reminded me of when I was 6...I was in gym at school up on the stage and a bigger girl wanted to give me a piggy back ride...well she dropped me and I landed on my face...knocked my 2 front teeth loose I had to sit with a towel soaked in milk and hold my teeth in place during my next class and during it was a film about dentists and teeth . Luckily my teeth tightened back up but oooh I hated going to the dentist....still do!

following Chris's lead:::

WWW
Wish I didn't have to go to work.
Wish I could stay home and scrap :)...and nap!!
Wish my head wasn't aching.

Kat-thank you for the nice breakfast yesterday...I'm not a coffee drinker so I had a Pepsi...I like to pop open a can cause it's the same sound as a beer so I can imagine it's the end of the day and time to go home .

Sally-You are the most uplifting person I know :). You always make me smile! Same as when I see your layouts, you have a beautiful family. Reading about your days helps remind me how blessed I am as well :).

LindaW-Hi girlfriend! I am soooo excited about our new 'job' with Merkee! We are going to have a blast! We'll have to get together by email soon and start tossing ideas around to present to her :). Have a wonderful day my friend!!!!

Andrea-how's Gravy doing? I hope you are well and that you have a good day :).

Everyone, I looooove you all and will check back in if not tonight, tomorrow morning. I've been in a funk that I am having trouble shaking, don't really even know what it is unless it's something to do with it's been 2 yrs Sept 3 since I lost my Daddy...and that same year is the time I had problems with DD...she came out of the hosp the same day Daddy went in and he never talked again. I thought I was doing ok with everything but something is bothering me now. I don't wanna burden you guys with it so I've just been keeping quiet. Also, my migraines are back, my dr wanted to see if I could come off of the Topamax and for about 3 wks all was good...then this last couple of wks here we go again so it's back on the Topamax.

Speaking of quiet....Davy went from making tons of noise to silence ...that's never a good sign.......all's good, s-he's laying in front of the fan cooling off...bunnies overheat easily. Speaking of which I need to fill his water bottle and feed the little terror ;).

ME-I am soooo sorry about Simon, I love the page you did with Merkee's new kit :). I know it's early to think about but do you plan to get another pet for Christian? If so...don't forget your local shelter :). I got my Sassy cat and my sweet German shepherd, Jacy, from our shelter....Sassy was 7 months old at the time and someone brought her in because she chewed on a toothbrush!! Little Jacy was a puppy with a broken leg...that had healed badly...we couldn't afford to fix her but she does fine on 3 legs, she runs fast . It amazes me the animals I've seen at shelters...I need to stay out of them because I always fall in love...there was a darling pug last time, fullblooded I couldn't believe it. Luckily, ours is a no-kill shelter unless the animal is sick or unadoptable(such as a viscious animal). Oh my....I'm sorry...I got off on a tangent and couldn't stop. I hope I didn't bore you .

Who knows, maybe I'm coming out of my funk ...I sure seem to be full of it this morning :). It's you guys, you are very sweet and I can type all I want...unlike talking I can't imagine anyone around here who would've sat still for my rambling ROFL.

Hugs and love to everyone who drops in today!!!!!

Good Morning!!! I can't stay but a minute...I have three kids here and two more on the way!! WHAT HAVE I DONE????!!! I might be seeing a time out going on here very soon!

Anyway...yesterday....Like Chris mentioned....Cameran and I made cookies...HALLOWEEN, no doubt!! That's what the little guy wanted to do!! I am already feeling withdrawals!! and he's still here!!

I will be back this evening for some personals....

Oh...this afternoon....off to the Science and Art Museum!! YAY!!

Wednesday, already! I'm back to school after all day yesterday at the fair - the girls showed 31 head of sheep! What a long day! The girls did really well and had fun, even though we were all exhausted at the end of it!
It's reward challenge time in Designer Survivor! I'd love it if you would vote for my team, the "Eyelet team" Go to the Designer Survivor Blog and click on Voting - Take Two, then please vote for the Eyelet Team. If we win the reward challenge the four of us will also win immunity. This week there are 17 designers left and at tribal council on Friday we'll eliminate 7! YIKES! Immunity would be really handy!
Oh, gotta run, meetings are starting:( Have a wonderful Wednesday all.
Chris - we've missed you!

Good morning ladies!!

The sunshine has come back to the pacific NW. Yay!! I don't mind the rain but we get so much dreary during the winter that I like to get as much sunshine in the summer as possible. Of course I wish it would just stay at 82 degrees all day long, but I'll take whatever I can get.

Ethan is on a field trip today to the EMP (Experience Music Project). It is pretty cool. Paul Allen (co-founder of Microsoft) had it built and it is very strange looking but kinda cool. The little monorail goes through the middle of it. Ethan loves music so I am sure he will have a great time. It is a cool place...lots of Jimi Hendrix stuff since he is from the Seattle area.

I had my dentist appointment today. Ugh!! I hate going, but I like my dentist. She's really nice and explains everything really well. Her name cracks me up. Her first name is Truyen, vietnamese I would guess and her last name is O'Leary. I don't know about you, but that just cracks me up. A vietnamese lady with an Irish last name. I found out that I now have two cracked teeth. So, I just have to sit tight until they hurt and then get a crown. Ick. I don't want to get a crown or pay for a crown. That does not sound like a good time at all. Hopefully it will just stay a little cracked and never get bad. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

So, this morning was awesome. I am not a morning person and neither is Addie. She doesn't usually get to bed early enough and wakes up really cranky in the morning but I don't deal with it because dh gets her ready in the morning. They are out the door about an hour before my alarm goes off. So, last night Addie went to bed early and when dh woke her up he wasn't quite ready for her so he plopped her into bed with me. She woke up happy and silly and it was awesome. If we could both wake up like that every morning, life would be great. If only we were morning people.

Off for personals...

Hi girls,
I've got so much to tell you.
I'm not homeschooling anymore, I'm going to a private school here in Ok.
This morning my mom went to work. (She goes to my dad's work from generally 6:30 to 12:00)
And she's back and I ate lunch and now I'm on the computer. :)

Chris - Your bat story sounds funny. We had a bat at my parents house a couple months ago. I was sleeping when I heard my mom and husband yelling through the house. DH was trying to get the bat out of the house but it was flying all over and all he had was his hat and a pool stick. It had to be the funniest thing I had ever heard. That is too bad your evening didn't work out as planned last night. I hope it gets rescheduled and you guys can go another time.

Dawn - I was talking about me and Ethan. I have a cracked tooth, then Ethan has a lot of dental history for a 6 year old. he had soft enamel and ended up with 2 silver crowns and several cavities. It was not fun. I am glad your teeth got all figured out. My sister had a similar incident landing on her face but she had baby teeth still and they pushed up to her adult teeth and permanently damaged them. She is finally now at the age of 28 about done with dealing with her teeth. It is so sad. I'm sorry you are in a funk. Big hugs!! I hope you stay social but if not scrap it or just sit in front of the tv and watch some silly chick flick. Someone Like You is one of my favorites for funky moods.

LindaW - 5 kids? Seriously? I do believe that you are unquestionably crazy!! Good thing you like them. I hope everything goes smoothly and no one gets into any trouble and that you still have hair at the end of the day. Enjoy the field trip this afternoon.

Joslyn - Well, hello! How has it been going back to work and stuff? Good luck playing catch up.

LindaP - I'm glad the fair went well. I don't know anything about sheep except that they go Bah!! I did my voting last night for your design team. I hope you make the cut. I think your stuff is awesome.

Hi Kat!! I hope your head feels better soon. I've never had a migraine and from the sounds of it I hope to never have one.

Clare - switching from homeschool to going to school will be a big change for you. I hope you love going to school.

Just want to say hi girls. I've been busy. And tired. Getting back into school groove has been hard. =) And I've got something funky going on with my cycle, so I don't think that is probably helping much.

I know there were a lot of posts today. Sorry I'm not reading them all. I'm about to veg out and look at some cookbooks so I can just kind of turn my brain off. Love you all!!

Hey there ladies!

Well I only ended up with 4 kids today...Traci only brought Jaiden for a couple of hours.

Clara...that stinks about your teeth...but don't worry too much...just be aware of it and take care of them...I had one like that and didn't have to do anything to it for 5 years....and now I have another that has been that way for 3 years. sounds like you had an AWESOME morning with your sweet Addie and I hope Ethan had a great field trip!!

Thanks Linda!
The fair was fun, but it sure is a ton of work - washing and clipping all those sheep. We had a show last week at another fair, just one day so everyone, including the sheep, could go back and forth and didn't have to stay overnight. This fair is four days, so the livestock stay there all week. The state fair is next, and last - thank heavens! I'm getting a little tired of fairs:)

I know the feeling Sara! I'm wiped out from in-service today. I think I had an entire 20 minutes that I could spend in my room today when we weren't in meetings! Tomorrow will not be any better I don't think.
