hey hey my friends! It is Tuesday, and I am tired already. For some reason i was up at 4:15 and couldn't get back to sleep. It must of had something to do with my *very* exciting dream about going food shopping except that the store layout was backwards and I couldn't find anything. I mean-- really. How do you go back to sleep after all that??

I am babysitting this morning for a bit, off to clean for the new client, then I have to give Ravyn a bath. That dog is stinky! I pulled out my Faery-Wings products to see what new stuff I need to make for the holiday fair and I found some dog shampoo and i felt bad since it has been a long time since she got a bath. A black lab that hates water? yup, I have one of those LOL

How about all of you? Anything fun and exciting planned?

Tip on Tuesday?
I found this website yesterday and thought it was very cool- i want to poke around more as soon as I have the time

personals from yesterday. I know, i never made it back here but I have a *very* good reason. i got totally lost in the Gallery, and couldn't get myself out of such beautiful-ness!
(That counts as a good excuse, correct? :D)

Deb- dark and rainy here today. Thankfully yesterday was grew but warm, so I raked the front yard before the leaves get all soggy today.

laurie-- woo hoo!! Floor! If only I could find floor in my DS's room- but that is not due to construction but heaps of dirty clothes, and old school papers. Ugh.

Hi Fran! Love the idea of a cuppa and a blanket :)

Maureen- oooh sun and warmth... what a way to start your day! TFS :D

Phyllis-all of your Christmas shopping done? wow, I am jealous. i used to be done by Thanksgiving, but the last few years I am barely started. Ii did get 2 gifts over the weekend, so at least I can say I have started.

Hi Diane!

Trudy- I have been trying to do the same in my yard- is makes me so sad to see everything brown. But in a few months (ok-- maybe around 5-6) I'll get to see green shoots and that makes me sooo happy! :hippie:

Sally-- ooooh, lucky you!! New floors and furniture!! So happy for you.

Clara-- the nail polished are for goody bags right?????? DOn't you let them open them up in your house hahahah!!!

Love to you all!!

Morning all - getting ready to head to the treadmill and thought I would say hi- I crashed on the couch last night and woke up not knowing day or time- very upsetting- but thankfully for clocks and outside darkness I figured it out.

Good morning ladies - it's still raining in OH and today is the day the scrapbook stuff heads to the paper scrapbook store for the garage sale.... so I'll be loading up the car later today and taking it there, yesterday I took some inspiration from someone who was cleaning their house and taking things to the "basement" - I did the reverse I took things from the basement more than 6 years old to the trash. I used everyone's helpful ideas and alas I am still in the casket..... so glad I'm not on your end - I emptied cookies - temporary folders in the internet folders and in the foxfire folders I've refreshed via f5 and still no luck...so I will remain in the casket ...

so nothing fun and exciting for me.... wish I was Maureen snoozing about now... we are in the same time zone... its 6:30am she'll be waking up soon drinking coffee and enjoying sunshine and beach air.... so Maureen would you do me a favor today? it's terribly hard.... you will suffer greatly... will you take your walk on the beach and enjoy the water swishing over your toes as you walk in the sand ..... then can you write words in the sand and take pictures so we can all see the lovely beauty of the ocean and sunshine ! I'd ask you to make a sandcastle - but you probably would tell me I'm pushing my luck! But if I asked you to enjoy yourself i'd bet you'd have fun!

Sally - new floors and furniture.... you are so going to love wood floors!

Chris - round 1 leaves are gone round 2 leaves are soggy!

off to do my chores !

I forgot the most important part of yesterdays basement "clean" I found 2 things I had been looking for... a miniature carousel that stands about 1 inch tall and a doll dress. The carousel is safe where it belongs and the dress got washed and today it gets ironed and then it will go back where it belongs - I so hate loosing things - but I got to admit when you find them .... you just get a smile

Brrrrrrrr it's cold here, I didn't want to get out of bed this morning but did manage to crawl out and am now enjoying reading your notes while drinking a nice warm cuppa coffee....hmmmmmmmmm.

Chris - that is more like a nightmare then a dream....hee hee. My golden lab Phoenix, who is no longer with us, hated her baths too, but loved playing in water...weird huh.

Laurie - Good for you using that treadmill, I really must get mine fixed. Especially since it's dark in the morning and dark when I get home so I don't have time to take a walk outside.

Debbie - Isn't it the nicest surprise/feeling when you find something you've lost and forgotten about. It's like getting something new to enjoy.

Have a great day ladies, off to check out some of the awesomeness in the gallery.

Morning all...

Yes, the beach is still here, the waves are still crashing but that beach walk is going to have to wait for a bit. I was up before 7am and the sun was gorgeous, but in 15 min the fog and mist rolled in. I don't know that I plan to do much walking in that. Years ago in England, they never had the children go out to play in the fog. Rain yes, cold yes, but fog - no. I also got a really bad - as in had to go to the hospital for oxygen - case of bronchitis once after biking in the fog.

But maybe a short walk will be ok. Some more tea will help me decide.

Chris, i had a dream JUST LIKE that a few nights ago. i don't think it ws a grocery store i was in, but it was someplace where i SHOULD have know where things were, but they weren't there!! those kinds of dreams ALWAYS wake me up.

another rainy, gloomy day...with no workmen putting my new roof on. it may take until next summer to get this thing going. well, at least the old roof is still therem keeping out the rain. it would have been...BAD...if they had taken the roof off and then it started pouring.

i'm looking out my window at the acres of leaves on the ground. wish my husband had a desire to CLEAN THEM UP!!!!!he subscribes to the "they'll blow away" school of thought. it annoys me. and the job is too big for me to do alone and too expensive to hire someone to do. GRRRRR!!!!! i hate being trapped in a situation i can't control!! (control freak much, Phylis???):frusty:

Maureen. Fog? really? maybe British urban fog has lots of crap in it. i am personally a BIG fog-lover. like Newfoundland fog. or Maine.

Linda, me, too on the laundry. i have my first load in.

happy day, everyone!

Good morning ladies. So today is doctor appt day. Blech! I am currently in between appts. I had a neurology appt but that was my last one. She's sending me back to my doctor now that my headaches are under control. Next is infectious disease...I don't want to go back there after this appt though. My last appt I sat in the waiting room for an hour and a half. Ridiculous...plus they said they couldn't help me with anything. So, I'm just gonna get my lab results and call it good. I can't ever get all the blood work I need. Doctors don't typically run things like liver function tests and I need those on occasion. I finally got assigned to the doctor I want at the hospital so hopefully my healthcare will be better. I know my husband finally went and saw him and he is awesome. My husband takes ADHD meds and he kept seeing different doctors who kept giving him different dosages and it was horrible. This guy wants to help him get everything fixed up and better regulated. Active duty military have the option of going to sick call which is how Derek has been getting his refills. Going to a random doctor who is trying to get through all the soldiers with the sniffles or busted up body parts is not the answer. Plus the doctor is trying to help him get his back fixed up. Now if we could just find a doctor that would help Derek figure out the next step in his career we'd be set. LOL!!

So, this month is so ridiculous with school for the kids. They have soooo many days off this month. Not a full week of school all month. today is Addie's last day of the week...and I'm not sure about Ethan...I should check that. Just Friday off for him...but Addie gets 3 days off. This Pre-K thing is quite the racket. I still can't get over the every Wednesday early release. It just amazes me. I've been watching West Wing lately and one of the new presidential candidates had a 240 school days plan...I kinda like that plan. Kids do not go to enough school and are always missing days. It is crazy.

So, last night I got a call from the place I ordered lip gloss pots from and they called to tell me I'd get them next week sometime. I said, no...I need them by Friday and they had no expedited shipping. I put in the order on Saturday and they didn't bother to contact me until last night. I'd have been happier hear from them earlier during the day so I could get ahold of another company. Ugh!!

Well, I have been really bad about personals...so today I will be really good about it. :D

Chris - I hate it when I wake up too early. It happens to my husband all the time but never to me. I am such a sleeper though. The last time it really happened was when I was preg with Addie. I have to head over to your website to see about an order. You know I love your stuff. :) Oh, and with the nail polish...we are having her birthday party at our neighborhood community center (it's free and I don't have to clean my house) so no mess at my house...and we will paint their nails for them and then put the polish in a little goodie bag, along with their lip gloss. :)

Laurie - I hate waking up confused. Yay for you and the treadmill. You are so good about that. I need to get on it too...I'm just so lazy.

Debbie - Great job getting rid of stuff. I am good about getting rid of stuff, but myhusband...not so much. Where in Ohio are you? We are headed to Cleveland for Thanksgiving and I am not looking forward to the weather. It is about 70ish in Fayetteville, NC and I can wear flip flops. I'll need to leve them at home to go up to OH. :( I really hate the drive up there but hopefully not all the leaves will have changed yet. They are turning right now here.

Fran - where are you at that is so cold? As much as I hate it where I am I am really thankful for the weather here. I do not like the frigid cold. Enjoy your warm cuppa coffee.

Maureen - A walk would be nice...I love the fog...but after an illness I think I'd watch it from indoors too. I love the atlantic beaches. I love the pacific beaches more and I get confused on the east coast beaches...but I love the sand and warmth of the east coast. Thanks to Nana I've gotten to play at Myrtle and returned again with my husband and sister. I think I need to get motivated to schedule another trip.

Nana - enjoy your calm day. I am sending calm thoughts to those girlies!! I have so much laundry to fold. I'll work on that later...after I drop Addie off at school

Alrighty...have to head out to the doctor's office in a few. Perfect timing. Have a great day ladies.

Phyllis...cross posting. That stinks about the leaves. Hopefully they blow away soon. They are so pretyy but suck a mess when they hit the ground. Good luck with your roof.

Morning everyone... My day off and my darn cat woke me up the minute my MG left for work :hurt: Oh well lots to do today, groceries, cleaning and I'm cooking a turkey for supper tonight. It's too small to use for Christmas (won't feed 14 ) and we already had our Thanksgiving, so thought it would be nice to have some turkey! I just love turkey leftovers and can't wait to make turkey soup!! Yummmmm!! :washing: is also on my list of things to do today. Will try to get some scrap time squeezed in there somewhere today also!

Chris - I hate having dreams like that, it makes me wonder what causes me to dream something like that all day long! Have fun giving your dog a bath! I don't envy you at all LOL. Hope your day is great! back at ya!!

Laurie - have a great walk on treadmill, that really should be on my to do list today also!!

Debbie - Sorry that you are still having trouble with your gallery avatar are you sure you changed it as your profile pic and your avatar?? glad that you found some long lost treasures!! It's always fun to find things that you thought were long gone!!

Fran - Its cold here today too brrrr!! frost on everything and my heat pump is working over time to get my house warmed up!! On the bright side its going to be a beautiful sunny day!! I am also enjoying my warm coffee and my bulky sweater keeping me warm! Join me in another cup?? :tea:

Maureen - Hope you make it out for your walk on the beach!! I would walk in the fog with you if I were there, I bet the ocean smells wonderful!! Enjoy!!!

Nana - So nice to hear that the girls are getting along so well today! Makes for a more tranquil day for Nana right?? Hope your bathroom gets finished today and you can get things back to normal!!

Phylis - I will send MG father over to help with the leaves, he loves that kind of stuff only he would make a big burn pile and smoke you out LOL! I think that all the neighbors must hate him when he burns leaves!!

Clara - Too bad about your lip gloss! Hope you can locate another company that can get it to you in a hurry!! Happy to hear that your DH is getting better treatment with his meds!! Going to more than one doctor just gets everything messed up!! Hope your drive to OH is pleasant and stress free! Have a wonderful day!

Well off to see some beauty in the gallery for a bit then I better have some breakfast.

Clara - I live in San Jose CA, but you have to realize, anything below 65 is freezing to me....LOL....seriously it was about 50, but I was cold. We don't sleep with the heater on so it takes a bit for it to warm up and get cozy....no wait, that's right my heater sucks and it never gets warm and cozy.

Chris - Dreaming about food shopping…hmmm…yes, I think that one could use a bit of excitement!

Laurie - Good for you and the treadmill!

Debbie - I bet it feels good to get that stuff out of the house! what a nice reward to find two goodies too!

Nana - House projects always are a major pita while you're in them. It's like having babies…we forget how rough it can be and only remember the good bits. Otherwise, we'd all be only children!

Phylis - I suspect that leaf situation might be one to let go of…easy for me to say when it's not my issue! Hard to do when it's something I have my mind set on. What is the downside of just leaving the leaves?

My only leaf issue is one that bugs the ykw out of me. My Greek neighbor sweeps her driveway, sidewalk and car area every morning and then sweeps all the leaves up and under my front tires. I ask her husband each year to pls tell her not to do this. Finish her own job! If I'm home, I often just sweep that pile into a bin for the compost but if it rains hard and I'm not home those little pin oak leaves compact into a clump. ugh.

Fran, when you don't have COLD cold, a drop in temp does seem cold. You can tell the locals here at Hilton Head. They have coats on. I must be going in that direction. I have socks on!

Clara - Getting medical help and issues sorted is sure hard. Wishing you all the best with your Dr. saga.

Sally - Way to go with the calendars. Having a craft business sounds like fun, but a challenge!

Well, I did get my walk in…the fog lifted enough to be just overcast, and Dick said it was sunny on the part of the island where he went biking…Now it's time for lunch and some sleepy reading.

Clara - I live in Fairborn if you look on the map I am just west of Columbus and just east of Dayton - I hope you have a safe trip to OH for Thanksgiving if you look at the map and see 675 going around Dayton I live 2 miles and 3 turns off the highway ... at the top north corner just south of I70 if its convenient to stop your most welcome for a little short visit ... I'd offer more but there's no room for guests with Mamaw - the leaves are all almost gone and its really pretty damp you definitely wil need shoes and socks and will need to leave the flip flops home. Having Thanksgiving dinner at my mom's... its 15 minutes away so .. Other than that I'll probably be home all weekend. The air foce museum (free)is nearby if you have any airplane buffs in the family. If its not in the plan to stop that's ok you can toot your horn when you hit the state line and I'll listen and wave. any one else is welcome too.... but clara said she was heading my way....

Maureen and everyone else the car is empty and I filled the entire trunk and yes it feels good to not have it in the house any more...
