Where oh where did the warm weather go?? It is *freezing* this morning! 45*!!!!
45°
(Alt 0176 <~ my new obsession on the keybd LOL)
The sun is shining and it should warm up this afternoon for the HS session. And then its gonna rain the next few days so no hiking with Scott in PA. Boooo! Probably just as well. I was on my feet for 6 hours at work and by the end of the day, it was getting pretty stiff. It's still a little stiff this morning but is loosening up as I walk.
We had an *amazing* lesson yesterday. The kids and the parents were totally into everything we did. Every time I am with this group, everything just flows so much better, we have so much fun. It's hard work but (in case ya can't tell) I love it! The pollination relay race was hysterical and I am going to do it with the group today. I only have 6 kids so I'll break it into two teams and instead of just one stop, I'll have them make two stops.
Yes, I am, brainstorming this as I type.
Each team had 2 paper bags, one had cotton balls covered in powdered paint (pollen grains) and one was empty. They had to take a pollen grain, drop it into the empty bag, run back and tag the next person in line. So for this group, 2 teams, two bags of pollen. Drop one pollen into the one bag, pick out a new pollen and then into he empty bag. Back to the beginning. That should work. And if not-- it's still running around outside. All good!

It was a little bittersweet at the end of the day yesterday. The Pod isn't coming in June but they are planning on July and August. I am really going to miss them next month. The other thing that made me sad was that my coworker's last day was yesterday. He was one of the 12-month scholarship interns and he was just awesome. We worked together so well and between him and the other scholarship intern leaving, Weis is losing just fantastic people. He might come back in the Fall to work PT, depending on his class schedule. I hope he does, he always made me laugh-- he was one of the creators of The Best Chris-- which are now hanging on the break room bulletin board. :floorlaugh:

I have to fold laundry and then pack for the next few days. make a b-day card for Scott (29 tomorrow, HTH did that happen!!!!!!!), and then I'm off to work. Quick shower and dinner and then we are on the road. We will get to PA just in time for me to go to bed.

Have a fab day!! And behave while I am gone. (Beware of @tanteva -- she usually shows up, throws ketchup around and leaves the mess for me to clean up when I get back :mopping: )

:hug4:

@faerywings don’t ever stop telling us about your woodland adventures. I’d love to learn from you. I love to be outside too. This morning I Grabbed a coffee and a little walk to the lake at the campground. Merlin was telling me all the birds I was hearing, lake had some sea smoke so it was soooo peaceful.
Sorry to hear your shoulder is bothering you but glad the TENS is helping. We’ve been walking quite allot on this trip and my replacement hip is feeling better. So I’m sure some walking will get your flexibility back in you ankle little by little.
Oh good!! I don't know if I even *could* stop talking about nature stuff if I had to. :D Merlin is amazign isn;t it? I use that and iNaturalist all of the time. We saw the coolest skink on Sunday (nah, 2nd coolest- blue tailed are the coolest here in NJ) and I was able to ID it with the app. Got home, confirmed the ID and showed the kids the photo yesterday and had some info about it too.
That's awesome that your hip is doing well!
The ship accident is so sad and crazy :(

Bwahahaha my evil plot worked!!! Now you'll be humming it while at work. :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:
I told Gary about this and he started humming along too. Hope you got all of the housework done early and had time to relax and scrap in the afternoon.

We had our town-wide gargage sale on Saturday and myself, Jen and a GF all found some great deals. There were over 130 so we didn't get to them all but maybe around 30 or 40. We were out for about 5 hrs.
That's horrible!! Hahahaha!! 5 hours with little kids- no problem. 5 hours at garage sales... :hahano:
Are you excited about the first market? Nervous? A little of both? I always was both when I sold my stuff at craft fairs. Your display sounds like it will be lovely with the soft neutral tones, a perfect backdrop for your jewelry.

@Terri M Did everything go smoothly with the repair? We didn't have a kitchen the first 4 months we lived here and had to wash everything in the bathroom sink. Never again.
So many good thoughts to your DD for recovery and results.~~~
Every once in a while, someone in my area will post a photo of a bear on their deck or at their door. Yeah, I am with you, I'd close my door as well, and quickly!
Had one of those sleepless nights, so didn't get up until 9. Got dressed and took the church deposit to the bank and then spent most of the day with Ilene. We went to Costco and then went to Olive Garden for lunch. I did not stay all afternoon with her, however.
Spent yesterday afternoon sorting through March photos for my Monthly Review I will be working on tonight.
Mark had a rough day at work so he took Piper down to the pit and is relaxing in the hammock!
That's about it for me!
Was that your LO in the HAPS, double-pager about birds? Gorgeous!
Hope today is easier for Mark!

Debby-- have a great time on the boat tour!!!

Yes, that was mine! I take more bird pics than selfies lately, LOL!

Good Morning,
Not much going on! I would like to get April's Monthly Review pages done today! And most of May's. We will see how it goes!
I need to make a load run to the thrift store before I pick Mark up for lunch.
That's about the extent of my activities today.
Have a great day!

Some how I missed popping in here yesterday. I was busy scrapping... got a new release page done and also got the June Challenge page done! I know next week will be busy with Sister and DD#1 back here again so wanted the challenge page done before they arrive. Also got the laundry sorted and 1 load done late in the afternoon. We had thunder and lightening along with 3 rain storms yesterday.... so couldn't/wouldn't be on the computer during them. Talk about cold... it was 38° this morning!!! It barely made it to 59° for a high yesterday. Yes.. pulled a pair of winter PJs on in the late afternoon. Brrrr :cold::cold::cold: It won't last.. up to 72° today (no rain) and will hit 90°+ before the week is out!!! Crazy yo-yo weather.... Need to run a couple of errands today then get the laundry finished.

HAGD

@faerywings we are going on a swamp boat tour and this owl mask was there so I’ll share with you it might be a fun project for kids. All from pine trees.

Ohhhh let the shenanigans start!!! Your day at work sounds so fun! I love the excitement that comes through when you talk about all youre doing with the group. Its so wonderful. You're going to have so much fun in PA even if you cant hike. Its crazy how those kids grow up isn't it!! My oldest is 32!!! Like what??? I see you found the ° key and are having fun!
I told Gary about this and he started humming along too. Hope you got all of the housework done early and had time to relax and scrap in the afternoon.
HAHAHA Bonus points!!! I got Gray to hum with you. My evil empire is growing :floorlaugh:

@vickyday sounds like you have a lot of purging going on still!! Bet it feels great.
@BrightEyes Dont you love May and its kooky weather? We too hit mid 30° this morning. Its crazy how cool it can get and then shortly turn into hot weather.
@BoatLady Have a wonderful time on the boat Debby!!!

@faerywings My daughter is healing well, we're on tenterhooks waiting for pathology reports. Maybe tomorrow. And yes, the sink is fixed and I'm back to washing dishes. Is that something to celebrate? I suppose so Turns out you're not supposed to put egg shells in your disposal. Huh. It specifically says chicken bones are OK, but egg shells, not? Don't ask me.

Beautiful morning; we did some trail work early on. There's nothing much more satisfying than seeing a newly mowed trail! We've been switching over to electric equipment, which I can handle much easier than the gas mowers and string trimmers, although it does mean lugging a spare battery in your backpack. On the other hand, I used to have to carry and pre-position gas cans, so no worse.

I finished pages for our trip to Vancouver with the grandkids, and I'm pretty happy with them. I'll never be as good as most of the ones that get posted, but no one cares but me so that's what counts.

I have to go make a meal plan for the week so I can go grocery shopping. Maybe something exotic....

Good morning ladies. I was fighting with PS this morning, trying to get a LO done and then realized it wasn't PS, it was my keyboard sticking and it made PS glitchy. Now I'll get some jewelry design done before walking Remi and heading out to play cards.

@faerywings Your classes always sound like fun!
@BoatLady I bet the technology on the new cameras is so good! My newest camera is now almost 3 yrs old and in the world of cameras, that is outdated...but its great and I don't plan to upgrade again.

I've got to get on with my day. Tomorrow I'm away at 6:30 am so no computer time in the morning. Talk later in the week.
