Good morning ladies. Just popping in real quickish. As always...got stuff to do. Don't we all? Anyway, this morning started with a little boy crying saying his tummy hurt. Unfortunately that's what happens every morning so no love from momma. He got in all sorts of trouble last night. I made the bad decision to get him an iTouch for his birthday last August and have regretted it ever since. So he is switching from the play rock climbing class to the team and yesterday Derek for some reason thought it no big deal for E to take it with him for when he was done (was he planning on me being late or what) so instead of putting it away he played on it during the practice watching videos and stuff. Of course by the time I got there E was working out like he was supposed to. Unfortunately for him I asked the coach how he did and he was less than impressed...as was I. So now Ethan lost ot for a week and then for a month it can't leave the house and he has a set time period he can use it. Plus he has to earn the $12 from the class that he wasted before the next class to prove he wants to be there...of course he only has a week to earn the money. I was one angry momma.
So, nothing too exciting planned today. I feel like I was supposed to do something but forgot what. I hate that. Oh well.
Last night's Korean food was great, although I got a lot of "when my mom makes it..." from Dave. he wasn't being mean, just trying to be helpful for when I make it again. I used ready made sauces from the Korean market and once again was reminded how much I hate it when I let DH do the grocery shopping. He loves to remind me of how well he listens. I am sure that husbands screw that type of stuff up on purpose so that you don't ask them to do stuff.
Chris - The Chris Columbus one will have to do, for now. I can't watch theater on TV. It bugs me and they zoom in so you can't see everything and when they zoom out it is weird and no matter how well it is filmed I still feel like I am watching a home movie. So, I am going to just have to keep it at the top of my list of things to do. I did like that they used mostly the broadway actors for the movie though. I would also really like to see "Moving Out." The one based on Billy Joel music.
Eva - Rent is based off of an Opera called La Boheme. here is the description from Wikipedia: Rent (often stylized as RENT) is a rock musical with music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson based on Giacomo Puccini's opera La bohème. It tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side in the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. It takes place in 1998-2000
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rent_(musical) The music is amazing and "Seasons of Love" is one of my fave songs.
Nana - (I love that we now have to call you Nana because LindaS has been hanging out) That is so cool about the replacement of your Keurig. Suzy apparently has the worst Keurig luck and they have replaced hers 6 times or something crazy like that. I love that companies do that. Epson replaced my printer the same way. So awesome. Sorry you are going to have a long sleepy cranky day. You need to take a trip to Starbucks. I'll tell you what, we keep the Starbucks Via on hand around my house. I know it is instant but my husband doesn't mind it and he's really picky about it. I like the cold coffee mix. Instead of mixing it with water I mix it in milk. Plus they work great if you want to make a coffee smoothie. Hugs!!
Linda - Have a great day. Getting into tax season and end of the year stuff. I hope they don't kick your butt at work too bad. I know my mom has been busy with end of year closing stuff. Yuck!!
Eva - have fun helping out with the skiers. It is so fun doing that kind of stuff. I helped with the Olympic Trials for diving one year and got to watch Laura Wilkinson before she went on to kick everyone's butt at the Olympics. I had to volunteer though. No pay for that.
Make sure to not drool over those Italian Ski Gods too much so you don't have extra work cleaning up puddles.
Phyllis - you too? That stinks. If I stay up late I'll sleep all day...or rather I feel like I have to sleep all day and can't wake myself up. I'm trying sooooooo hard to get my sleep schedule straight but I have no self control when it comes to going to bed and would stay up until 4AM if I could. Ugh!! Lucky for me Addie sleeps in too.
Kristy - I hope your day gets better.
Okay, I'm off (unless I find that I did some cross posting). Hugs for all!!
