Good morning, dear ladies! :blowkiss:

I hope you all slept well - or are still sleeping...
I wish you a few nice days for Easter. Hopefully the weather will play along and you can be together with your loved ones - and not just standing in the kitchen and cooking and baking!

I had a horrible dream last night and I'm wondering why??
In my dream,
huge snakes were after me. They came wriggling out everywhere. They even waited for me under the covers. But there were not only big ones, also tiny little ones with enormously large mouths that constantly snapped at me. :eek2::eek2::eek2:

I woke up in a sweat!! And then it fell out of my hair like scales and I came to the following realization: I won't be reading your notes here in the evening. In my dreams I process your experiences. It's creepy here. :couchhide:

So please, no more horror stories after 6:00 p.m. I am very sensitive :hiding1:

I wish you a relaxing and sunny day!!
Stay healthy or get fit again quickly!
My Michael got up at 6:00 a.m., walked with the dachshunds and drove shopping before 7:00 a.m. With us, an emergency always breaks out when people can't go shopping for a few days. They're afraid there's nothing left :eek:

HAND xoxo

Hello and good probably afternoon at this point @Su_Sanne :)
I am laughing but also feel terrible about your dream. It is very clear where it came from. So no more stories about snakes after 6 pm :giggle4:
How many days do you get off for Easter? Some public schools are closed on Good Friday but not all of them. I know that Caitlyn and Scott both work tomorrow and Scott is working on Easter Sunday. He will get comp time next week to cover holiday pay.
Did Michael survive the grocery store? That sounds exactly like what happens here when there is a snowstorm in the forecast. You have to stock up on milk/bread/eggs if you want to survive hahaha!

Sleep well tonight and dream of flowers and sunshine and all happy things.

How was everyone's Wednesday? Mine was pretty decent. No problems with my grocery order, although $100 gets less and less each week. :/
No problems cleaning for my friend, I didn't knock over one sword or weapon at all. My toes were safe. However- I kept startling myself. Michael has a skeleton wearing a pirate outfit sitting at his kitchen bar. Every time I caught him out of the corner of my eye, I thought someone was in the house with me! And you all know that isn't something that should happen, I should be used to skeletons hanging about the house. But no! Since Gary put Braxton and Linguine O'Brien back in the attic, I am no longer used to skeletons around the house. Caitlyn and I are still salty at Gary for putting them away. Braxton doesn't like the dark and Lingine O'Brien never shuts up. Poor guys...

Explainer: We have a skeleton that we named Braxton and he stayed downstairs all year round. We would dress him up and move him around the house. Caitlyn got Gary a two-headed skeleton that she named Linguine O'Brien (no idea why that name stuck) and they would join in the dress-up fun. I have a bunch of LOs of them. This past year, Gary found a box big enough to store them and they are now in the attic, *sniffs* I miss having them around. :(

My mom called with really good news from her heart Dr!! She had her heart function test and it is improving *happy dancing* It was down to 28% a few years ago and this year it is up to 45%!! I know that is still awful but a significant improvement. And guess what happened to me? I got allll teary. Again! Three times now in 1 week. What is wrong with me? ;)

No big plans today other than getting Scott started on his taxes.

ToT Anyone tempted to do something special today? Or do nothing at all? I don't; think I have anything at all tempting me. If I think of anything, I'll post later

Okay, I guess I need to have a serious word with either Chris or Vicky. :notinfrontofthekids:It was her last words yesterday that I read.
I won't tell you about the video Scott showed us last night at dinner.

*whispers to everyone else* It was about this guy who converted a water cistern into a tank for pet eels under his house. They were very cute.

SuSanne, you must think my family is bonkers, we tend to enjoy things most normal people would consider to be "odd." #crazy-2
@LSlycord Wow, the school year is really going by quickly! When do finals start for her? IIRC, your school semesters begin earlier than here. Will Syd be able to get the job she worked at last summer back? Is Shaun hoping to go back to the doggie daycare?
Sorry, I am being nosy.

@Nonni F Next time you need wine-- I'll send red, red wine vibes to ya!
Whew, thank goodness the work absurdity passed relatively quickly. Hope the weather warms up for you soon, what a difference it makes in my mood to see flowers again.
I sincerely mean it if your friend needs anything re: Lyme, please ask.

@Su_Sanne *Hugs* I appreciate all of your good thoughts and your openness too.♥
Thank goodness you showed your bite to the doctor and he got you antibiotics. It's like an entirely different disease when it is treated early. Unfortunately many if not most people don't get a bullseye rash and they have no idea they had a bite.

@vickyday Your Dr visit sounds like it was very thorough and your Dr is very understanding and compassionate. All positive thoughts to you for good results and easy treatment. Yay for hitting the roads on the bike: :motorcycle1:

Arline- isn't online test access the best and the worst of things? I can make myself crazy over them ha ha!

@taxed4ever 9K! I had to Google, which is 5.59 miles. How were your legs feeling afterward? Smart to have leftovers so you don't have to cook too.
Right??? The god-awful threes were sooo much worse than the twos. :hiding1:
Your family is another one that is an Oh! under the roof. ♥

@bcgal00 I hope that you aren't reading this today but a few days from now and that your eyes and head are feeling better. So sorry that your appt brought bad news. Glaucoma and a retinal tear... big hugs coming to you. Hang in there- and just as I said to Linda- we got you. :grouphugyay:

@Cherylndesigns Oh no, still no improvement for Roger?? I understand the whole opioid addiction concerns but at the same time if a person just had major surgery- give him the darn meds!!! :soapbox:
Glad he was able to check in with his sister, here's to better news today *fingers crossed*

Also, sending good vibes to Kay @BrightEyes and anyone else who needs them :sparkles1:

Good Morning!
Quick in and out. Dealing with a headache today.
Got my colonoscopy scheduled for June and got an appointment with the gynecologist for May.
Got the test results back from Lab Corp, most of it I don't understand, however. But one result says I am prediabetic. The threshold number is 99 and I am at 101. The diabetic number is 126.
I'm sure the doctor will explain the test results to me at some point.
Have a good day all!

Good morning all. Adrienne took the dressings off of Roger last night - they were told to take the off on the fifth day. His stitches look good (if lots of stitches can look good) but they look clean. He's still "oozing" and they had to cover his whole souldner up again last night because he would have soaked the bed. He's still oozing this morning and is blistered - probably from infection. They are to call the surgeon's office again today. It's just so weird - but he has weird reactions to surgery. Yes, Chris @faerywings I agree - for Pete's sake, after someone has surgery, they NEED pain meds! It's totally ridiculous. Just because "some" ppl have problems, not everybody does - they need to lighten up. It's worst out here than it was in Florida. I just pray I don't have to have any surgery. I'll be walking up there after I get myself awake and going - you know that's not easy for me. I'm up early because I wanted to check on Roger. He seemed better yesterday other than the oozing. I think he's going to call his sister again today, too.

Susanne @Su_Sanne Chris and I both have "kooky families". I also have skeletons - Tex and Lexi (Chris named her). I love anything "sugar skull" too and have lost of those - even kitchen towels. Hahaha My daughter just got me two sugar skull chickens (Chris @faerywings I don't think I showed you Gwynn Stefani and Alejandro - Steph got them for me when I went to Florida.

Hi Chris, I've been RETIRED since last August and don't have to do anything anymore. :pillowfight::dance2:
It was unusual that I was able to adapt so quickly and didn't miss anything in professional life. It was certainly also due to the fact that I had gotten used to being at home due to the pandemic in the home office. And I think after 45 years at Volkswagen it was about time.

It doesn't bother me at all if you have a spider farm or collect skeletons. This has the advantage that you only have to dress up Braxton in a scary costume on Helloween. Didn't I already say the saying, which unfortunately doesn't rhyme in English? Life wouldn't be half as nice if nobody had a bird!

#crazy-2
I was in the garden for 2 hours today and raked the leaves of our large oak tree out of the beds. Now the garden looks much friendlier and more colorful. The many pansies help. It's so lovely to see life come to life in the garden!! I love digging in the dirt and being righteously tired at night.

Good morning everyone! I am a bit stiff today, but not too bad. The hot soak in the Jacuzzi tub sure helps out the tired achy bones and muscles! Hike was a tough one with lots of ups and downs. The view from the top amazing, but the weather was grey and chilly so we did not sit too long for lunch. Today I am off to renew my drivers licence, this time I need to get a new photo done and then I am good for another 5 years. When we lived in Saskatchewan we had to renew our licence every darn year!!! I am happy to be back in B.C. LOL. Other than that the only other thing I have on my plate is to get FIL's Keto Ice cream made for his birthday and work on my painting a bit. This turtle painting is a long drawn out process, so many layers, but it is coming along. My Gary is off work tomorrow for Good Friday, so I think he will be busy getting his snow tires off of his truck and doing other little jobs around here. Then on Saturday we go to my brother and SIL's to attend a dance that our fav local band is playing at and we will stay overnight there. Then Sunday morning we will leave from their place and head to the In-Laws to attend FIL's birthday get together. It was going to turn into a work party also, but the weather is going to be very rainy, so we will put that off for another day when the sun is shining.

@faerywings - Glad you have all of your fingers and toes after your cleaning job yesterday! That would totally freak me out thinking that there was someone in the house with me! :eek2: . Sorry that your skeletons got put in the attic, but it must feel like your house is not quite so crowded now :giggle4:. What great news that your Mom's test results are better! Lets hope that they continue to be that way! Yes you might think that your family is a bit on the crazy side, but we love you and your whole family and are so happy that you share your day with all of us!! I hope that today is a great one for you all!!

@Su_Sanne - Oh dear, that dream of yours sounds horrible!! Now for me if it were spiders, than that would really have freaked me out!! Guess you should wait until the morning before you read the posts here as Chris and Cheryl are both skeleton lovers, they are kooky, but we love them!! :tongueout1::hug2:. Oh BTW I love your Easter emoji!!

@Nonni F - Hope that your work day is going much better today!!

@bcgal00 - Oh dear Rae!! So sorry to hear that your eye exam did not go as you had hoped!! My SIL Linda had glaucoma too and she was fortunate enough to have surgery on her eyes and now is just fine! I hope that can be a solution for you one day too! Having the drops does not sound like much fun! Not sure if you will be reading this today, but I truly hope that you will have a good recovery from this and that it wont put a damper on your upcoming cruise!! Sending you lots of healing vibes today! :sparkles1::sparkles1::sparkles1::hug2:.

@vickyday - Sorry that your test results show you as pre-diabetic, but @Nonni F has some good advice and you might want to have the doctor do the finger test! When I was having so many stomach issues and had the same test as you with blowing into a bag, (it showed nothing). I knew I need to totally change my eating habits! Gave up bread, and all things glueten and all things sugar. Keto has changed my life and I will never go back!! Its not for everyone, but it sure has done wonders for my DH and myself!

@Cherylndesigns - My goodness Poor Rodger!! I hope that he starts to get better very soon! It must be such a worry for all of you! I hope that he gets to call his sister today, she seems to be a calming and healing source for him!!

@Su_Sanne - I am with you and have never missed one day of working!! Retirement is the best job I have ever had! :lovey3:

Ok I am off to renew my licence. I have an appointment, but wonder how long I will have to wait anyway! I wish you all happiness today! :bye2:

All right, Trudy! I don't mind skeletons at all. And usually I can watch snakes on TV too. Only a psychologist knows why so many of them threw themselves on me in the dream.
The snakes just needed to cuddle with me! Everything would be fine!!
Who knows what my subconscious has pieced together.

Good morning ladies. Today is better. The anti-inflammatory drops are helping and the migraine is almost gone now. The eyes are still gritty and sore, kind of feels like contacts are in my eyes that have slipped and when I blink the discomfort and blur slips up the eye but then goes down. But it is better than yesterday so I think I'll feel ok in the next few days. Gotta go get my hair chopped off, going with a short pixie cut this time. Easy to take care of on the cruise and for the hot summer here.

I'll be back later.

Thanks for the good wishes for Roger! Yes, we have lots of fun with our skellies. I got my big one on Amazon - it wasn't quite as big as I wanted, so I'm thinking about getting another, bigger one this year. My granddaughter found Tex in some store and had to get him for me. You NEED a skeleton or two - they're so much fun. I don't dress mine up like Chris does, but Tex has a bandana on and came with a hat on, too. LOL

@vickyday I'm not a doctor but I play one on OScraps. LOL..... was it your gloucose that was high? If it's the first time I wouldn't panic. When you go to the doctor ask them to do a finger stick (hemoglobin A1C) I think that calculates an average of the last ninety days and not just one random day.
Yes, those numbers were listed next to "Glucose". I've never had it before. I had some sweet tea before I went into the Dr. office, so I wasn't surprised. The blood test was a last minute decision. She knew I had some sweet tea, so she will probably take that into consideration when she sees the results.

@Su_Sanne I chuckled when you said you don't care what the neighbors think. I joke all the time that I'm going to take the vacuum cleaner outside and do they driveway... just so people leave me alone.

Who mentioned the other day about horrible neighbors? Ours put their house on the market last night. Bob keeps telling me "The evil you know is sometimes better than the one you don't. " I'll keep everyone posted. I remind him all the time that him taking his motorcycle to work at four am all summer.. doesn't make us the GOOD neighbors. :pleasantry:

"Michael has a skeleton wearing a pirate outfit sitting at his kitchen bar. Every time I caught him out of the corner of my eye, I thought someone was in the house with me! And you all know that isn't something that should happen, I should be used to skeletons hanging about the house. But no! Since Gary put Braxton and Linguine O'Brien back in the attic, I am no longer used to skeletons around the house."

WARNING!!! More nightmare material. :runningdog:#crazy-2 hahahahaha

Who is Michael? Is your husband's name also Michael? It's funny.

LO of when Braxton and Linguine O'Brien fell in love

Braxton got his MSW at the same time as Caitlyn!
Wow! You have a great sense of humor!! I could laugh my ass off. (????)
I would have loved to read the comments of others here at Oscraps. I would also consider them family members and give them names.

Google translator says things here that I wouldn't dare to put it like that. Is it okay if you have to laugh like crazy "I could laugh my ass off?" I wouldn't have dared to write that. I apologize in advance if this is not commonly used.:giggle4:

Good morning ladies. Today is better. The anti-inflammatory drops are helping and the migraine is almost gone now. The eyes are still gritty and sore, kind of feels like contacts are in my eyes that have slipped and when I blink the discomfort and blur slips up the eye but then goes down. But it is better than yesterday so I think I'll feel ok in the next few days. Gotta go get my hair chopped off, going with a short pixie cut this time. Easy to take care of on the cruise and for the hot summer here.

I'll be back later.
That sounds good, Rae! It's uncomfortable in any case! And I'm sure you don't like to read or write much either. It's best to close your eyes and snooze with an audio book until your eyes are fit again! I hadn't even noticed that you were going on a cruise - only that you were going on vacation. Where is the ship going? Will definitely be great to see and experience something different. Are you going with a friend? Continued get well soon!

Have a good day all!
sorry for replying so late, There's so much going on here today, I can't keep up.
Vicky, a colonoscopy was also recommended to me. I have to make an appointment again this year. Not so nice! But what has to be done, has to be done. Luckily you don't have diabetes then. Is there any recommendation for not getting it? No more cake with your girlfriends? Well, you could also bake without white sugar as an alternative. Everything will be fine! Until then, keep your ears stiff. Do you say that too?

I will always preach "GET YOUR COLONOSCOPY" I lost my grandfather to colon cancer and my father had a portion of his removed due to cancer. I've been getting them since I was thirty. ...and I'll say, the prep has actually gotten "better" if that can be a thing. ;)

@Su_Sanne My hubby and I are going on a 3 wk cruise through the Panama Canal. We start in Ft. Lauderdale Florida and then sail thru the canal to the other side, coming back up the west coast to LA California.

Good evening all. Everyone is really talkative today...it must be spring time.

@vickyday I'm glad that the doctor is really paying attention. I certainly agree that the glucose number is not a problem after a glass of sweet tea.

@faerywings so glad to hear your mom's very, very good news! Shaun has two more weeks of classes before finals and Syd has three more. Syd will only be home for 8 weeks for the summer and she is taking a summer class for 6 of those weeks. So, I think she is going to wait until she gets back to Gainesville before getting a job. Shaun has decided that he really does not want to go back to school. We are debating that now... :rollingpin1:

@bcgal00 can't wait to see the new haircut!

@Su_Sanne it looks like you are fitting right in here.

@Cherylndesigns I am feeling so bad for Roger.

@taxed4ever well with your Gary home tomorrow, I'm sure that you have some things on a to do list.

@Nonni F love that you play a doctor at the O!

Never heard "keep your ears stiff!" But we do say, "keep a stiff upper lip" which probably means the same thing, lol.
The worst part of a colonoscopy is the prep work of drinking all of the nasty stuff!
