Happy Thursday! It is Take your Child to Work Day here in the US. Guess what I am doing? Taking Caitlyn with me to my MIL's to clean hahahahah! Seriously, I am.
She asked, and I talked to my MIL, so she is coming with me. Its kind of a two-fold thing. I am going to let her help me clean. She is also bringing her sewing machine and is going to work on a quilt with MIL. So she is kind of going to two works, mine and Nana's :)
My brother was so cool- he offered to take her to his work, he works for lawyers at Verizon. But it is too far, I'd never be able to get her back and forth, But it was so sweet of him to think of it.

Have any of you ever done this? I'd love to hear how it went :)

Sandra- good for you, not doing work on your- b-day- you should ever have too LOL *fingers crossed that the wether works out for you*- 80's! So nice!!

Tali- shorts! So jealous of you- still too cold here,although I think we might hit the 60's today. Hope that your eye issues settle- and yes, I still think you should go to the dr!

Sally, I don';t know how you do it- laundry with 4 kids. Our septic is really acting up and with the windows open now...PU! I have been holding off on laundry and have three huge loads to bring to MIL's. ugh.

Joslyn- keep on nesting! BTW- is Gena going to post here as she gets news?? You'd better not disappear for a day or two without letting us know :)

Clara-- good luck with the job stuff. I think you'd be awesome as a Mammo-Tech. I am overdue for one, but I'd wait and go to you ;)
LOL at hubby's. They sometimes just do not get it!

Kat- yes-- totally focus on the beach!! Lucky you! Can I come??

K-Bamm-- love ya girl...... and if your lost mind sees mine running around aimlessly- can you tell it to come back to NJ?

good morning! I'm sitting here enjoying a cup of coffee and dreading my to-do list LOL. Today I have to finish the family room so I can steam clean later... I have to work on the kitchen, and do laundry... plus I have to get in some design time this morning... I've got 2 kits going, and I've just hit a flat spot and can't seem to get them finished!

I got Matthew's cake ordered yesterday, and Gabe's gonna work on the backyard tonight... we definitely need to mow lol... I'm gonna try to do the front this morning after it's had a chance to dry out... okay, I'm tired just typing my to-do list LOL! I'm hoping to open up the windows in a little while to let some fresh air in!

alrighty... I guess I better grab some breakfast and then get started...

Chris - have fun with Cait today! the weather is still looking good but keep those fingers crossed anyway...

morning girlies!!!

So do you think we are tooo busy in this world we live in???? LOL!!! I'm gonna slow down here very soon...can you tell??? I was just noticing things last night and thanking God for them...little things like the beautiful weather here, the fact that my four kids and i could walk to Buc-ees to get ICEEs and a cherry coke for me, falling asleep holding mr gorgeous's hand...*sigh* I want to live life appreciating the little things!!!

So I do have a gob to do today, but again, i'm gonna love the little things while i do it. I have a workshop tonight, so I'm doing my projects this morning. Hopefully I can concentrate on the house this afternoon. I'll work out on the bowflex when I take Q to the gym. And I want to go through the other three kids' clothes like I went though Lil's yesterday. They are all sorted. It felt soooo great to give away an entire bucket full of Lil's clothes, so I'm hoping that the other three will let me do the same for them. *sigh* how do I let it get so bad! :)

Chris, have fun today!! I can't wait to see Cait's quilt. That is such an awesome legacy...I sure hope one of my children quilt when they get older! :) sorry about the septic ewwwww!! LOL!! happy day, doll!

Sandra, You enjoy that clean house!! and start looking at a magazine or something to get your mojo going for designing!! :) hugs, dear!!

Quickie before I pick Ella up from school. It is going to be another gorgeous day here. I so wish I had a fenced-in yard. It is making things kinda tough for me to take the boys outside. Jacob runs to the road and while I'm running after him, Boden goes the other way. lol Aaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!

I did make an appointment with my doc, so we will see.

Chris - I hope Cait has fun today! How great that she enjoys quilt-making. I'm sure MIL loves it as well. :)

Sandra - I hope your designing-mojo flows soon!

Good morning? Where is everyone at? In the sunshine I would bet. Things here are good. I had an interesting morning though. I was sleeping at 5:30 this morning...as usual when all of a sudden I hear Ethan sobbing. I called for him thinking he was in his room and then I heard the front door shut as he came up the stairs...not in his room. So he comes into my room sobbing and climbs into bed and through his tears told me that he was supposed to go to work with daddy today and he promised he would take him in. Well, this week myhusband has to weigh in, measure height, and then measure the people who weigh too much (Army thing for their PT test). Well that starts at 6AM so he has been leaving at 5:30 all week. So after I figured out what was going on we called Derek and he said he was coming to get him after he was done with the weigh in. So then we went back to sleep and I had very very strange dreams.

So then we got up and I got Ethan to wear his scrubs to go to work with his dad. I think they are planning on riding the motorcycle in since it is such a beautiful day. I looked up the law the other day and they have to be 5 to ride on a motorcycle so he gets to now. Derek has a huge bike (Honda Goldwing) with seats for both of them. It is almost like being in a car with lots of wind. Then Ethan can go to school later today. They'll have fun today.

So today...nothing is going on today which is fine with me. I have a ton of laundry to do. One of the many things I miss about living in Italy is that i used to always hang my clothes to dry. Our dryer was crap and it seemed like on a nice day it would dry faster outside than in. I would dry my socks and underwear and that's about it.

So...

Chris - I hope Caitlin has fun today with you and MIL. I think take your child to work day is awesome. It sounds like really she wanted to spend time with you. That is too cool. That is really sweet of your brother.

Sandra - Good luck getting everything done. You are much more productive than I am. I don't know that I would ever steamclean anything for guests. I am sooooo not a cleaner though. I don't like mess but I hate cleaning.

Sally - The little things are the best. have you ever noticed that it is easier to notice the little things when it is nice out? I don't know why but I always notice more when I feel sunshiney too. Good luck getting the kids to let you sort. Purging your house is always so nice. I have a huge pile of stuff we need to give away but it just hasn't gotten that far yet.

Tali - You know...I think you can rent fencing? I've heard that you can before. I don't know if it would be worth it to look into but it's a thought. Our front yard, where we do most of our playing, isn't fenced either. I only have one little rugrat to chase after though. I can't imagine two. Ethan is always such a helper getting her steered in the right direction. It is pretty cool now though because her feet can reach the pedals of her tricycle so she'll ride around on that.

Well, I hope everyone has a fantabulous day!! It is gorgeous outside today so if you don't have any sunshine where you live...come visit me. I'll let you borrow the sunshine.

Totally agree....sometimes I wonder am I living life? Or is life living me?

Clara - awww poor Ethan he thought his daddy forgot him (((hugs))) I am sure he's all smiles now :)

Today is my dad's birthday so I am getting ready to make a cheesecake for him :) Other then that Nick is in school and I am just too exhausted I don't think my brain is working right now *LOL* Maybe not the best time to bake huh?

Hi girls,

I haven't been by in a while - things have been busy crazy. I was really sick with bronchitis and walking pnuemonia. Thank goodness for antibiotics and cough syrup with codeine. And my grandpa passed away last week. We spent some time in PA with family earlier this week for the funeral. So, a lot has been going on.

Hope you are all doing well, and I hope things calm down for me soon so we can return to "normal", whatever that means. I have done next to no scrapping in weeks, but I have been knitting while driving to and from PA. One sock done, another on the knitting needles.

I agree.......Life sure is crazy!!! Today I ran a couple of errands, had to get my cousin's son a gift for his 3rd b-day this Sunday. That was fun. Nico is down for a nap and I am folding laundry while hanging out online. Last night I ordered my new camera!!!! Sooooo excited!! A Nikon D40......I am beyond excited!!!! Now I need to learn how to use it, I was thinking of getting a book, not sure what book though. Not sure If i'm ready for the "big book" but probably something specifically written for the D40. We'll see, I'm just ready for a grown up camera!


Chris - Hope work w/ Cait was fun! I think its cool of you to take her!!

Sandra - hope you were able to get your stuff done!

Sally - ICEE's - YUMMMMMMM Hope you got to go thru the clothes today! It is refreshing to go thru clothes at the start of a season!!!

Tali - I dont know how you do it - Im sure those 2 keep you on your toes!! I am chasing Nico like crazy!!!!! His new thing is having a full-on tantrum when I bring him inside he wants to be outside 24/7...its so nuts!! he wails and plops down and throws whatever is in his hand...gggrrrrrrr

Clara )_ poor Ethan! That was so cute!! Hope he had a good time. I will DEF keep you updated regarding the camera. Im going to PM you anyway w/ some info.....

Kat - I agree.....sometimes its like, is life running us or what??? Its sunny here too, im loving it. Hope your cheesecake came out good...I have the best recipe and its sooo yummmyyyyyyyy. Has a sour cream topping.....mmmm I want a piece just thinking about it!

Had a good but busy conference....have a busy conference again tomorrow. Have projects to seriously finish. Have board meeting, class lab time, and girls scrap/night out on Saturday. *breathe* *breathe* Also trying to balance all that kind of stuff with paying lots of good attention to my family. So you guys are getting the short end of the stick right now. After next week, things settle down quite a bit...so....

Miss you all. Been skimming the daily's trying to keep up. Can't wait to get some time to devote more to you guys again. =)
