Happy birthday to my gorgeous talented and amazing daughter! Yes, Caitlyn is 11 today!
Its been a looong birthday weekend, that's for sure! Last day and just the 4 of us today. whew!

The brunch went well, even though I wasn't feeling so hot. I adore my family- who all helped so much, especially my brother. He brought up some bags of groceries for me, and cooked some turkey chili up before he left.
I had some time to talk to my BFF who never get to see/talk to anymore.I caught her up with as much of the Scott/school crap as I could. She always has good advice. She is also one of the few people who can give it to me straight and knows that no matter what she says, I know it comes from her heart. I treasure her so much.
She also talked to Scott for a few... maybe coming from her, he'll let it sink in a bit more.

Still not feeling 100% myself today but hopefully once I get running, it will get better. Working from home today... wish I could take the day to rest, but sadly the rest of my week is kind of crazy ;)

Dawn, how is your head today? Work is good, work is good! Work (paycheck!) is happy!!! )At least that is what I am trying to convince myself today :lol: )
Oh bummer that you spent all that time cooking and your ds didn't stay longer. So funny that I can see my mom and how she tries to stall when I have to leave after a visit. I guess it is never truly long enough.
How is Davy? *bunny snuggles to her*

Linda S- whew- good to her your baby girl is better. Hope you are too! And yes, my O-Fam is always welcome here!!

I think I had caught up with everyone else quickly yesterday, so I am off.

Quickie from me this morning....I was all chatty this weekend and everyone was busy so I just chatted to myself ...it was all nonsense tho so y'all didn't miss anything important in the thread hahahaha.

Chris-glad your brunch went well, and that you got to talk to your bff, hope that helped some. Yummy turkey chili, that was sweet of your brother! I hope this week goes better for your. Sending out good vibes and more prayers your way :).

and, oh yes, Davy was fine about the time it was too late for me to get ready to go Sat night LOL, which honestly was just fine with me...I'm getting to be a homebody...ok, actually I think it's more of a digi-scrap addiction but it's hard to admit that LMBO.

oohoo new challenges!!!! Can't wait! I can't wait to start on Cat's spotlight this evening :).

Okie doke...I'm off for my first day back to work...I already had one nightmare last night...it woke me up at 2am...it was all good I left love in the gallery for 30 minutes hahaha.

Thanks to everyone for your well wishes...I think my head has finally cleared of its medicinal fog!!! Yes sudafed is evil!!!

I just got home...I went over to see Jesse off for his first day of preschool!! I can't believe that my little ones are getting so big....when you are saying this about your grandchildren...this means you are really getting old!!!

I spent most of the weekend scrapping and catching up....today I have some cleaning to do and back to the basement where I left off last week..our yardsale is this Friday/Saturday....so I have to to get finished!!!

I will start with personals fresh this week...

Chris...sweetie....give Cait a huge birthday hug from NanaLinda...and I am glad her weekend was a success!!! I am sorry that you didn't feel good (((HUGS)))...wish I could help you feel better!! and about Scott...I had these same issues with Traci...probably worse...just didn't know at the time what the problem really was...so you are doing the right thing with the testing....as many drs as I took Traci to, they never diagnosed her correctly....I know they can do a better job for you and Scott...it will work out just fine...I know it will!!

Dawn...your little Davy just wanted you to stay home after leaving her earlier in the week...she was scared you would be gone for days again!!! IKWYM about the homebody thing...I am....over the past two years I have become such a homebody....and yes...scrapping is a big part of that too!! LOL!!! and I read all your chatting....so you weren't just chatting to yourself...I just never jumped in...I am sorry about that...I felt like I was catching up so much...and I saw all the scrapping you did too..WOWZERS!!! hope you have a fab day my dear!! (((HUGS)))

Sounds like everybody's been sick/headachey etc. Glad it seems to be passing for everybody.
I am doing fine, just busy. I'm having trouble budgeting my time with school and the girls etc. I need to get a schedule. Just took a look at my syllabus for my education class and I have a paper due every week for the next 5 weeks except for this week, when I have the outline for my final project due. EEK!
Gen's social worker and occupational therapist just left and they want to get her to see the developmental pediatrician to do some tests so maybe we can get to the bottom of what is up with her. They brought her an "astronaut board" today, which is basically a padded ironing board with a lazy susan underneath. I have to spin her on it about 10 rotations one way and then 10 the other. It's supposed to be good for her balance as well as giving her the stimulus she craves. She loves it so much that she fell asleep on it. Poor girlie, I'm going to have to wake her up in about 5 minutes so we can go pick up her big sister.

A quick hello to you all. We had a great weekend, and today is another beautiful day. Just got back from a run to Starbucks - a vanilla latte. Mmmm... did you all see that the Pumpkin Spice Latte has made its return too? Yes!!

I hope to scrap tonight and stop by for personals too!!
 
Hello!!

I am so sleepy today. I did not get out walking because I really just needed the sleep/ Last night was a late night. My neighbors had some drama I was helping them with by having a clear perspective, and a direct line to my sister the social worker. All I can say is how thankful I am that I have a loving functional family. But it made for a late night.

I think Ethan is getting sick. I went to wake him up this morning and he was awful. He started crying and continued crying until I left him at the bus stop. I have a bit of a sore throat and I think he may have a bit of the same. But he's almost out of school now and I got no phone call so I think he's alright. Tonight is a single parent night, but it won't be too bad. I sent Derek off to Seattle to see a concert with my dad. They are going to see Rodrigo e Gabriele. He's an awesome guitarist, for those of you that don't know. They should have a good time. I hope they have a good time.

I was so excited for Monday to come this week to try on Sally's attitude of Monday being a new beginning...then I woke up this morning and that plan flew out the window. It hasn't been too bad though. I got to go to lunch today with a friend. My computer at work was down so the computer people were working on it. It was an upgrade gone badly. What stinks about it though is that they removed Mozilla from my system. So, no more FB at work. That really stinks. I am going to have to try and see if I can't find a way to get it back on my system. Whah!! :) I'm sure I will survive like the rest of the world who doesn't get to play like I do on my computer all day. We'll see.

Well, I am off. I might try and do some personals later. I love all of you guys though and definately think of you all personally. I'll see ya later.

Chris- Happy Birthday Caitlyn! Wow, 11, huh? Hold on to your hat, you're coming up on the "fun" years. Tell you what, I am so NOT looking forward to... oh... 8 or 9 years from now when Atha turns 12 and Gen is 10... Anyway. Back to you. How awesome that you got to see your BFF! That's great! Too bad it doesn't happen more often, but maybe that makes it even more special, hopefully. Here's hoping you got some rest today and are feeling better for the rest of your crazy week!

Dawn- How was work? I hope it wasn't too scary. Hopefully it will be awesome and you'll make lots of new friends. And you got some nice bunny-love when you got home, right?

Linda W- I hope Jesse's first day of school was great. And ha ha about being old. All I have to say to that is "what-EVS." Man do I need one of those "scrapping and catching up" days. I haven't scrapped in like a week. Boo hoo! Going through withdrawals.

Mary Ellen- I have to say, when I first heard of Pumpkin spice latte I was not a believer, but then I had one. Yummmm!

Clara- Boo on being sick! I hope everybody gets to feeling better. I have one word for you: ZICAM! It totally works I tell you! As for a bad-attitude Monday morning, I was working really hard today. Our pastor's message yesterday was about being offended, and how when somebody does something to offend you, usually there's a message in it for you. So I was trying reeeeeeally hard to keep my attitude in check today!

I hate to be sending out negative vibes but work stunk....well, it would've been fine if my boss wouldn't have been there LOL. I've been at this place since 2002...she's been my boss since 2006...she and I didn't get along since I started working there. Well, we still don't. She Lords her power over me. I work with a certain doctor, we have a total of 19 doctors now, a kidney group, 2 family groups, endocrinology practice, internal med practice(where I work), and an urgent care facility. I mean, it's a very large place spread out to 2 hospitals, 1 satellite facility in a rural area, and the bldg I'm in we are on 3 floors. When I started there we were all in 1 office and had 11 docs and under 100 employees and my boss was a 'peon' nurse just like me (well I'm a certified medical assistant and she's a LPN). Now she is the director of nursing. So, while I was on vacay 1 nurse got fired from our office and 1 quit from another. This should not affect me as I work with a different doctor and there are 2 nurses per doc and we have several as needed to call in. For whatever reason each time something like this happens my boss decides to pull me from my position and place me elsewhere while putting someone else in my place. In this case it is our 'team leader' because she "is just not comfortable" bringing patients back for this other doctor (this other doctor is a 40 yr old woman who is a GEM) soft spoken lady that I see as my physician. It's not that I don't like her. It's that I am so doggoned tired of getting jerked out of MY position at the WHIM of this horse's patut of a *itch, and we are not allowed to discuss anything unpleasant with our doctors or let them know of anything unpleasant to do with the nursing staff (because she doesn't want to get chewed out I'm sure), so I can't say anything to the doc I work with about this, I'm sure come tomorrow morning he will be like where is Dawn?? It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever that this 'team leader' cannot work with this other doctor. GRRRRRRRR. I know this place is the cause of my migraines, without a doubt, ok, my teeny tiny tumor is a part of it but it's funny I didn't have a headache until yesterday when I was on vacay.

Okey Dokey!! I'm starting to feel better and not hate it being Monday so much. I had a great weekend. It was busy though. The kids were making me crazy on Saturday. neither if them slept long enough, which means I didn't sleep long enough. I really wanted to get to church on Saturday. Every year in September our church does a 40 days emphasis on something and we're reading a book called Clutterfree Christianity, which I think is hilarious. Without even planning it I have been decluttering my life. First with finances, then my house, now my spirituality and working on my body. It is so weird how stuff like that works out, isn't it? So after church dh and I went a birthday party and felt really old when we were both ready to leave at 11:30. I then went to my parents; house and slept for nearly 10 hours. It was amazing. Did any of you know that yesterday was Ramadan? I had no idea. But went to a kid play place for a birthday party and I think the entire Muslim community was in this one facility. I didn't mind them being there by any means, I had just never seen that many people from any one culture in one place at one time ever. From any culture. It was kinda cool. From there I headed to church to join a new small group. I was very sad but I had to break up with my old small group. It was just three of us ladies and you know how us women can be. Not nearly as much bible time as we should have had but we love hanging out together. So, I left and joined a couples group as a half a married couple. I know the people in the group and have done that before. There are some other half couples who attend because of deployments and things like that. I think it will work out just fine. we all have kids, so we will drop them off at the Wednesday children's ministries and then head off to our group. It will be great.

So, it was a pretty busy weekend. Staying up late last night wasn't the best plan but I was trying to help. I thik I did so I am okay with it. I'll deal and go to bed early tonight and pretend that tomorrow is Monday and be all excited for a new beginning. But I guess the great thing about Mondays is that there is only 7 days until the next one. :)

Dawn - stupid head nurses!!! :p

I have worked for people like that and am very thankful everyday to not have to work with my supervisor, although he is pretty cool. It just sucks when a perfectly good job is ruined because of silliness. I hope the doctor asks around and finds out what is going on, although I know that is unlikely. Big hugs!!
 
Chris - HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAITLYN!!!!!!!!!

How exciting to have an 11 year old. I'm glad the weekend went well. Sorry that you are Herxing, but the fact that you had to think about whether or not that is what was going on is a good thing, right? I sure hope so. I hope your week isn't toooooo crazy and you can get some rest.
 
oh Dawn!!! {{lots of hugs}} that must be really terrible for you!! my heart goes out to you!! wish I could just snap my fingers and make "her" disappear!! I know you were looking at other jobs a little while back..............anything come of it?? your health is just so important and you shouldn't have to put up with it!! not much I can do but I am thinking of you and sending lots and lots of healing light!!! xo
 
LindaW - I am so glad you have rejoined the land of the living!! Sent Jesse off to preschool, huh?? You are old!! Hahaha!! Just kidding. If you are old you are the youngest sounding old person ever. I hope I can be old like you. :) Good luck getting ready for your garage sale. I found the best little stickers for mine at the dollar store. they had perfect pricing stickers and if we didn't know we let it be $1. I hope you make lots and lots of money and have awesome weather.
 
Andrea - that astronaut board sounds so fun. Do you think they make it in an adult size?? I'm glad they have found a way to make therapies fun. Good luck getting your time straightened out. It is always so hard to find a new rythym when you are adding in a bunch of new things. I know you'll figure it out though.

Ona-awww, thank you! Through all of my whining I forgot to mention the good news!!!!! I put in for a transfer today!!!! Same company but with the endocrinologist. Still will have the same boss but won't have to deal with her nearly as much. Only bad thing is I will miss the doc I work with now and the patients...I just love the doc :(. But in the long run will be a good thing ;). Plus they get free lunches everyday :).

Please everyone cross your fingers for me!!!!

I miss free lunches. My company has a limit as to how many you can get. Lame!! Free food is awesome and it is always so good, but usually a bit fattening.
