The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
My goodness, I can't take this insomnia anymore. Wide awake at 3.30. Thinking about all of the things I need to do today/this week but will be unable to do if I am THIS TIRED! Ugh!
Can I whine about how it is all unfair!?!??? I am happy I slept for a decent chunk of time- 10 to 3.30 but a few additional hours would be nice.

My parents were both in good moods and didn't bicker once. They called later in the afternoon to say what a nice time they had. I always feel a bit bad for Leah and Tom when we are all together, my family is so darn *loud.* Fun, loving, but loud. hehe I know that Tom gets a kick out of how much alike Caitlyn and I are and was teasing us about how we yell and wave our arms around when we talk.

I have a huge list of things I need to do today and really want to stay on task. I started to scribble my list but the most important thing I need to do if to finish my grocery order.

Hugs!!!

Super quick personals today--

@taxed4ever The fireplace came out fantastic! It looks so bright and clean!
how was it greeting everyone at the art show?

@bcgall00 Whew, thank goodness the power wasn't out for too long. Hope you had fun with your errands

@BrightEyes Ouch. :( my goodness you need some super strong duct tape, you are falling apart. (I know how that feels!)
How long will you need to be off your feet while the knee heals? Be careful getting around.

@Cherylndesigns What is Ava's secret to all of that energy? If I could just borrow a teeny bit...
The booster reaction wasn't bad it was more annoying than anything. Sounds like you are doing very well with the Christmas shopping.

@felis That sounds like such a pain to have the voting machine break. I am thrilled that in my state we can vote by mail and can track our ballot as it is received and counted. I have been voting by mail for 10 years? I think 2010 it started here. Maybe 2012, either way, it has been fabulous. Hahah at telling the guy to shut up :D
You have to show us the washcloths you make to go with the soap!

@mywisecrafts you're already getting into the holiday spirit, mimosas and everything :)
How exciting to see your new home being built in an area you love!!

hugs to everyone!

Good morning! I'm up early too - Chris, @faerywings I cannot sleep in anymore! Ever since the time changed, I wake up so early. I think I need some room darkening curtains. The sun streams right in the bedroom windows and I'm done. At least I do sleep - but I don't go to bed until about 12:30 or 1:00. I have to stay up until I'm hitting the wall, or I'll just lay there.

I wish I knew where Ava got all of her energy! I'd sure like to have some of it. Here's a link to her FB page - she's probably public, but you can see all of the stuff she's into. She has so many photo shoots - most of them are here on the property, but she went to somebody else's property over the weekend. She posts her pictures on FB. Apparently, that's part of her "deal" - they let her post them for advertisement. I asked her why she was so upbeat all the time. She said, "Well, when I wake up in the morning, I don't always feel great, but I just decide that I'm going to have a good day, anyway, and not bring ANYBODY down with MY problems!" That girl ALWAYS seems happy and she's always thrilled to see us! She's a joy to be around! She's always been like that, even as a child - always happy and energetic. She's had a LOT of serious arm problems - many arm and wrist surgeries and had to wear a cast or a split for years. Do you think that slowed her down? Nope. Same with her teeth - at least 5 years in braces and again, lots of dental surgeries. I always told her that it would be worth it and that she'd had a gorgeous smile and she does - she has the most gorgeous teeth now! Did I tell you about the huge gorgeous tattoo she just spent 7 hours getting? It's drop dead gorgeous and her plan for a long time has been to cover up all of her surgery scars. It's almost a whole sleeve. You have to really look hard to see her scars - he did an amazing job!

Well, since I'm up so early, maybe I can get some things done today. Adrienne will be down for coffee in about an hour, but I think my day is pretty free. We had dinner at their house last night - we had a great weekend and sitting down together for a meal was the perfect ending. Braden was cooking the steaks last night - he's starting to want to cook, which I think is so cool! He's really into spices and herbs and he smells everything like the chef's do. SO cute. I'm not much of a meat eater, but his steaks were good - I had a small piece.

Happy Monday everybody.

Woke up disoriented because my husband is on a new schedule for work so now he leaves before school time for the kiddos. Got my son to school, about to wake up my daughter for online school and deciding whether or not I'll cancel my mammo since I'm feeling lazy o_O *I've had surgery for a breast lump that was benign a couple years ago but now I'm starting to feel another one so here goes the whooooole process again  Hope everyone has a great day and week <3

Morning ladies... Wow this Atmospheric River that we are getting is flooding our whole town!! DH was told to stay home because the parking lot and some parts of the building he works in are under water. Sure glad we live on a big hill and all the water goes down to the lake! Its pretty windy today also and the temps are really mild. Crazy, Crazy weather! A great day to stay inside and get more of my calendar done! Yesterday was fun, playing greeter to all of the amazing artists dropping off their teen tiny artwork. I met a lot of lovely people and did a lot of work, helping out the woman in charge of the show. She is a friend that I hike with, so it was nice to be able to help her out. She is so talented at displaying everything, something I sadly lack any talent at LOL. Got home just as the rainfall was getting really bad, but before any flooding happened on the trip home. Had a yummy roast beef dinner with roasted veggies, so good and happy to have leftovers! So my Gary will be home today and underfoot, but I told him that I had lots of projects to get finished and that he would be on his own and had to keep himself busy doing things on his own. ;) of course he said he would stay out of my hair. DHh's work just called and said their dumpster out back of the building was floating down the street.

@faerywings - Ugh I am so sorry that you are not sleeping well! I sure hope you can figure something out to help you stay asleep a bit longer! I never have trouble getting to sleep, its staying asleep that I have problems with too. Sounds like your visit with your Mom and Dad went well and I bet your Dad was happy to have his rice pudding! I can just picture you and Caitlyn walking around the house waving your hands in the air while you talk. :D I hope that you get your grocery order done and then spend some time doing something a bit more fun!

@Cherylndesigns - I don't know how you can stay up so late! I am sorry that you were also up very early this morning. I have room darkening curtains in the bedroom and love them, they don't make the room totally black, just block the light a bit, so I can still see when I get out of bed and don't stub my toe on anything LOL. They are getting old though and its time to start thinking about getting new ones. What a wonderful attitude your Ava has! We could all learn a lot from her! I would love to see her tattoo! Oh BTW there was no link for her facebook page, guess you forgot? Anyway I hope you have a lovely Monday and I hope your weather is a lot nicer than what we are getting here!

@Caro - Hope your whole day isn't ruined by your DH's new work schedule and please don't be lazy and get your Mammo today, it is so important! Not the nicest thing to have to get done I know, but you really need to go! (sorry for sounding like a overprotective Mother! ) LOL

Ok I will grab a cup of coffee and get my photoshop opened so I can get this calendar done. Working on page 7 and 8 today. Really should post a couple of them here too. Have a nice Monday everyone, stay dry!

@taxed4ever I knew I'd get yelled at hee hee. I was hoping for a push to go :p

Good afternoon, friends! Have been busy today cleaning up the kitchen and then messing it up again while fixing some tomato soup for my COVID-sick step-daughter. I stopped and got some croissants and kleenex and disposable bowls and spoons so she wouldn't have to do dishes and left crockpot and all on her porch!

And before getting busy I am doing checkbook paperwork stuff.........joy, joy, joy!

I love listening to audiobooks while I am working in the kitchen! I have been listening to murder mysteries by an older author, Phyllis A. Whitney, born 1903 - 2008. They are pretty "clean" as far as language goes. I think the only curse word I have heard is the "d" word. I will not listen to any that use the "f" word! I think it is so unnecessary (IMHO). Anyway, I got side-tracked. I can't listen to them while I'm doing my paperwork stuff because I miss the story. Anyone else listen to audiobooks and have any good authors you listen to?

Hope everyone is having a great Monday! Time to do a bit of scrapping!

Oh gosh - I DID forget. I'm a little dense today - waking up so early does that to me. I stay up that late because I have a sleep disorder - have had since I was a kid. It takes me FOREVER to fall asleep and I get so frustrated and usually end up getting back up. It's very awful, believe me! A couple of doctors have suggested a sleep clinic for me and I say "I'd never go to sleep so you could study me." LOL Yes, my Ava is a special young lady! Here's the link to her FB page. https://www.facebook.com/ava.graves.39 I share most of what she posts on my page, just in case. If she's not public, I'll tell you who you are if you want to send her a friend request.

Since I was on earlier, I found out that my Aunt Martha passed away early this morning - that COULD be why I woke up so early. The night Mom died, my table light came on by itself. True story. I KNEW she had passed. Aunt Martha was 102 but it hit me pretty hard. It just brought back so many memories. I have a tribute to her on my FB page, and in my FB story. I posted a through the years tribute, starting when she and my uncle (my dad's brother) were first married. She was always such a wonderful aunt and I have the fondest memories of her.

Trudy @taxed4ever here's a pretty good picture of Ava's tat. She loves elephant and her store is "Little Vintage Elephant". It's a long story, but she came up with that name over a picture of me, when I was about 10, holding an elephant I made. She has it framed in her shop. She took a picture of me, holding the framed picture the other night when we were in there. I need to get it from her.
