What a great way to start the week.:D

Did everyone have a great weekend? Why do they go so dang fast??
Yesterday was so nice that I took Cait back to the beach for a few hours. A bunch of her friends and mine were there, so it was nice to sit on my butt and soak up some sun. But at the same time, I feel so far behind in "life" since I was sick Fri and Sat and then out a lot of yesterday. I have to buckle down and get work done today. But I really don't want to!

Not much else to say here. Hope everyone has an awesome day!!

Good morning all!

Chris-I hope you are feeling better today! Don't work too hard today, don't want a relapse!

I was mostly MIA this weekend, feeling kinda under the weather myself and still a bit so. Head is a bit in a fog with fluid in my ears. I slept a lot and still could if it weren't for work, LOL. I need to get my LOs for Sue uploaded this evening and hope I can find the time but at the rate I'm going I have a feeling I will be going to bed shortly after I get home, LOL.

I hope everyone has a lovely day!!! I'll try to hop in and check on everyone this evening :). (((((hugs))))) to everyone, I love you all!!

Clara-how'd the taco thing go??? And re the margaritas....I looooove mango :).

Kelly-how'd Nico make it last night with his poor little mouth?

Linda-hi!!!!!!!

Sara-anytime you wanna go for drinks real or virtual just let me know I'm always read and rarin' to go ;). oooh maybe we could have a cocktail chat one evening?! with some trivia?! ooooh Sally.....Krista......Chris....could we....couldwe...could we...pretty please??????

Sandra-I hope Will is an angel for you today :). I know it's not the same, but Davy has been a regular little devil for me lately...he chewed the AC adapter cord to my DSL supply box into...then looked at me with that sweet little face with the cord dangling out of his mouth. How can I get angry at that? I came really close this time, haha. He's lucky I had another adapter on hand. He's lucky he didn't electrocute his cute little self. I watch him but, sheesh, in a flash he does something like that.

Oh me....gotta get dressed and off to work. Catch y'all this evening :).

good morning! We didn't get the house completely finished, and after falling in the kitchen this morning not sure how much is going to get done today... I have a bruise on my arm already, and my hip/back are already settling sore, so we'll see how the day goes...

today we start summer reading and Will's summer packets. I've also got some phonics and sight words cards for Piper to start working on... she takes a placement test at the end of July to determine if she'll be in an accelerated kindergarten class..

hi Chris!

Dawn - I hope he's an angel today too... LOL, but I won't hold my breath ;)

hope everyone has a great day!

Morning ladies!!

Had a pretty nice weekend myself. Gotta some scrapping projects I have to focus on today and get done. Need coffee. It's been a gray couple of days due to storms and I've stayed up late. =)

Apparently, my almost 20 year elementary school/jr high reunion was Saturday. I didn't know about it until the last minute. Seems the email that was sent to me ended up in junk mail. But I saw it on a friend's Facebook page. I pulled out the old year book and started walking down memory lane. It was a lot of fun. =) Probably a good 80% of my class is on Facebook. And we are slowly pulling some the ones who aren't that way. =)

Chris - Hope you stay feeling well today so that you can get done what you need to get done. I hate that "I'm so behind" feeling you get when you are sick. Sending positive thoughts your way for your friend's daughter too.

Dawn - I hope your feeling better too. You always make me smile. Where do you live again? How long of a drive is it for margaritas?? On another note, are you going through Cheery-O withdrawl too? I'll wonder something like, "How's the server move going? Who's the next spotlight again?" etc. and think...I'll run and check in the Team Chat forum. Doh!!!! Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. =)

Sandra - Oh man. I hope you don't get too sore. How did you fall? Is everything o.k. besides being sore? Good luck with your summer fun/work. I got Ben a little Preschool workbook. He doesn't seem to be very interested in it. But we are doing lots of things like Brain Quest cards, and educational games, so we are still intellectually stimulating. Plus, I have a myriad of field trips planned for us.

Well girls, I'm off. I just thought maybe I should check the weather and see what day would be best for the zoo and/or botanical gardens this week. Since it's gray and cool, maybe it'll be today. =) Have a good one all!

Ooh, cloudy morning this morning, but no rain. Clearing up to a partly sunny sky in the afternooon. High of 74.

Storms Tues. & Wed., Thursday sunny high of almost 80.

I think today sounds like an excellent zoo day! =) If you haven't ever checked out our zoo, you really need to if you come this direction. It's pretty darn awesome! (They finally have a nice website to match now too. And they are on Facebook. =)

Good morning ladies. I would love to say it is a good day but at the moment I would like to amputate my head. My nose is raw, throat hurts, eyes are gooey. Overall, just miserable at the moment. I am debating working or not today. I really should. On Mondays on of our doctors works an extra day to do some coverage because we are down one doctor. I'm actually really impressed that he does it because he's the owner and he doesn't work as much as he should. But he works in the provider that left's area which is my area so I can't watch GHilmore Girls today and today is definately a Gilmore Girls kind of day. But I won't watch it when there are patients walking through regularly instead of just to see me. So, I'll just be playing on the computer instead and maybe doing some scrapbooking. I really don't want to go...okay...I'm not going and I am going back to bed. I'll finish up my post first though. :)

So, tacos went awesome. We didn't make as much money as I would like and we didn't get the 100 people in I was praying for but we still made $350. There were some really great things that happened though first and best was my husband. He was awesome. He fights me on everything church but we served tacos in a classroom so we weren't really in the church part and didn't even have to walk through there. He helped set up, he talked to people and told me he was proud of me. Then we sent Ethan up to the street to wave a sign around. Really it just gave him something to do but Derek went with him and was just awesome. It was so nice to have him be so supportive. He was also really impressed but the building. The church has been being remodeled for the past 10 months and looks absolutely amazing. He was impressed. I've been asking him to come with me to the grand opening of the completed church and he was fighting me so now he has actually seen what I have been so excited about. I also got to talk to the lead pastor for a bit. His first wife died about two years ago from breast cancer so he was telling me that and I finally got an opportunity to talk to him about his wife's affect on me. I have never met this woman but whenever he talks about her I feel inspired to be a better woman, wife, and mother. He's not the pastor I tend to relate to so I don't have many conversations with him. But I really just wanted to let him know how much it touches me to hear him talk about his wife. Have you ever heard about a person that really inspires you even though you have never met them? I feel blessed just hearing about her. Some people are just amazing and I was thankful to be able to tell him about that. My sister drove down and surprised me. That is always awesome. While she was down there she got recruited to be on our Relay for Life team. I had already asked her to come down to hang out with me during it, but now she will actually be participating. That will be awesome. My sister rocks!!

So, I am about out of steam so I'd better go. I will come back later and leave you some love though. Have a great day ladies!!

me too... and other than sore and a couple bruises, I'm okay... I was watering my plants, and some of the water sloshed out as I took a step and unfortunately went right where my foot was going ugh... I use www.pbskids.org/read and www.starfall.com for Piper and then I got those flashcards... we're also going to do some stuff at the arboretum and the library over the summer too...

Ten things we learned at the zoo today:
1. Elephants eat 500 - 600 lbs of vegetation a day.
2. Jaguars don't roar or growl, they purr like a house cat.
3. Ostrich's brains are smaller than their eyeballs.
4. Most people that go to the zoo are nice and excited to be there.
5. Some people that go to the zoo are really not smart, feeding elephants Cool Ranch Doritos and trying to feed peacocks out of their hands.
6. Some days I miss my ambition to be a zoo vet.
7. We have the largest cat complex in North America.
8. We have the second largest aviary in the world, second only to Japan.
9. Wild turkeys will fight peacocks for territory at the zoo.
10. I can't take decent pictures in the aquarium no matter how hard I try!

So, I've been sleeping all day. It is definately a good thing although I'm not sure yet if I feel better or not. I have been woken up by several phone calls. Go figure. The latest phone call was from my husband. As I have said before he is getting out of the Army in August. I have no idea why he thinks he needs to get out with 14 years in but he does. Well, he has been anticipating getting a civilian job at Madigan, the hospital he currently works at. There was a position in MRI that is available that he has been sure he is a shoo-in for. well, after taking way longer than he said he would the current MRI supervisor offered it to the other guy. It was a political thing and I totally understand it. The current supervisor is looking at taking a different job that is much more political and willbe needing to find himself a replacement and the other guy is more qualified for that position specifically. So, he was offered the job. SO, for the first time my husband is finally thinking about the future as something that is actually coming. Unfortunately, the healthcare field is also making some cuts and has hiring freezes so there are not nearly as many jobs out there as there have been in the past. There are a couple of jobs he knows about that he will be looking into but he is stressed. I feel bad for him but at the same time I want to smack him and tell him this is what he gets for being so stubburn and selfish for the past year, ya know?? So, anyway...I just thought i would share that with you. I am not worried about it. I know everything will work itself out.

I live in Western Ky! Yes, Cheery-O withdrawal, definitely, I've even lost my mojo :(. It'll come back though, it always does somehow, someway!

And LOL about your animal facts...I don't even wanna think about what comes after the huge amt of vegetation that the elephants eat ;). ewwww
