Good morning everybody
I can tell you this night was much much better, then those at the weekend, i feel better today, and Amelie is giggling on the floor glad she is feeling well again.

Today I dont have much to do, unpack my suitcases. Michael was too blind yesterday evening so he fell down the floor. Its raining here but still hot, in the afternoon I will go shopping for some food and look for a birthday present for Amelies grandpa.

Lol Im looking arround in the livingroom, it always looks like if something is exploded, when we are coming home from a weekend trip, have to clean.

@LindaW: great pictures, I added you at fb if that is okay.

Hugs to everybody

Good morning/afternoon/evening to my O-Fam! How is everyone today? We have a gorgeous Monday here- three days in a row of sunny and dry weather. Unbelievable! Of course, I didn't make it to the lake over the weekend once.... but I am hoping to get there this afternoon with Cait.
I have to get to the dentist for my own cleaning and then get the blood draw I didn't make it to last week. It really stinks that I live so far from everything some days. Those two things are going to take me all morning.

Cornelia- I am so happy to hear that Amelie is feeling better! What a relief, I am sure.
If you want to add me on FB too, I am Christine Iantosca Campbell :)
Oh those pics of her are precious!!!

Linda W- Sounds like you had a great weekend! Sometimes quieter is nice, as long as you have the kiddies around.

Tali- Oh how fun!! How was Ice Age? We like the first 2 also, hope that the movie got Ella past UP :D

Thank you guys for understanding my position on hunting. I am not a big meat eater to begin with, but I can understand why it is helpful to all of you.

Sandra- oh I bet the shower and bed back home felt wonderful!

Kat- sorry to hear about your neighbors and fireworks. Hope that they were more respectful last night.

LindaW Thank you so much for thinking and praying for me and my family -- that really means sooo much to me. I have actually been having a few really decent days and that is such a great feeling!
I just wish Gary could feel better too :(

I just looked at your zoo pics! So cute!

To everyone who comes on in here today, hope it is the best day ever!

Me Me Monday:
I guess getting my teeth cleaned doesn't count hahahah
I need to fix the polish on my toes before I go to the beach, that sounds like a good plan :)

xoxoxoxo

good morning... I'm about to have a cup of coffee and set off for my HR screen... ugh I'm running behind... I got new makeup yesterday (Bare Minerals/Escentuals) and so I'm learning about getting it on correctly.. but i LOVE it already...

Chris - actually the shower wasn't bad... but MY bed did feel amazing!

hi Cornelia!

back later all!

Good morning my friends :).

So, I told y'all about Davy's new thing? Well, apparently there's more to it! Y'all remember Bambi, I'm sure...and his friend Thumper? Well, now I know why Thumper was named Thumper, it's cause of the thumping sound he made with his back feet. I was feeding Davy and heard this noise like someone hitting the floor or door, and it was him! I looked it up and it is a sign of aggression in male rabbits, especially around mating time . So now I have a humping, thumping Davy, oh, and excessively hyper to boot, he is in and out and around my feet like he's on something! I finally got smart and put on pants to keep him from scratching me and he kind of lost interest in my legs. Can't wait to get him snipped! He's very frustrated and I'm getting tired.

Off for personals :).

Okie dokie, enough Davy antics, LOL (I'll wait til I get to work and drive everyone there crazy with stories!).

Cornelia-I'm so happy little Amelie feels better :). She's absolutely precious!

Chris-Yippee!! About time you had some decent weather :). I hope you get to fit in a little fun today! The movie was good, I didn't cry much at all, it was sad but in a good way. My daughter said the end is completely different from the book so be prepared.

Sandra-oooh new makeup! another of my addictions, LOL. Let us know how you like it, I've thought of trying it before. That stinks about the bed at the cabin. I hope you are doing better now that you are back home!

Tali, LindaW-I can totally eat a tub of popcorn myself, and do! Large coke and medium buttered, yum :). Tali-how was IceAge3?

Kat-Scary about the fireworks! Glad nobody was hurt! About the movie, my daughter says it is totally different.

LindaW-yum yum yum!! Nothing like a good meal of fresh cooked veggies! What'd y'all have? Fried squash? Okra? Sweet corn? Tell us all about it so I can salivate LOL. I need to get to the market myself and get some goodies before it's too late.

Everyone I hope you have a wonderful Monday!!! I gotta make another eye dr appt the contacts he ordered for me to try suck :( feels like I have grit in my eyes constantly. The previous ones, Optix, were great but discontinued. I think I'll ask him to just let me get plain ole contacts like I used to wear and I'll just get my med dr to rx some good eye drops. I have sooo much less headaches with contacts!

Love and hugs to everyone! I'll check back in later :).

Hi there everyone! I am going to jump in on your Daily O's if you don't mind.....

My Monday is looking so busy!!! Just got back from a 4 day trip to see my sister (whom I hadn't seen in a year :() and although my house didn't explode while I was gone (THANK YOU DH!!) I have alot of catching up to do. Especially on my scrapping....:D

Oh.....and I need to begin my exercise routine! No more excuses........I have the time to do it, just can't seem to make myself get started.

So, today's plans are looking like:
A workout, unpacking, laundry, get started on changing my blog graphics, update our HOG website, nap (of course) and a HOG meeting at 5 (an hour drive each way...ugh!).

I can't wait to get to know everyone and a little about your lives. This is such a neat thread.

Thanks for having me! Happy Monday to everyone!

Morning all!

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. My house is a disaster, but I hope to get that taken care of tonight or Wednesday night. I have a board retreat and meeting for the organization I'm secretary for on Tuesday and Wednesday, and Thursday I leave for Chicago for a national conference. =) So I have plenty to do this week. Today, DH and I talked about taking Ben to the zoo. But everyone is still asleep, so we'll see how that ends up.

Cornelia - I'm so glad she's feeling better! That's a relief. I understand about coming home to a messy house. Like I said, my house is a disaster and I didn't even go anywhere!!

Chris - I really hope you get to the beach darling. You totally deserve it. I need to make appointments for the dentist for Ben and I, but I keep forgetting. I'll have to get it done!!

Sandra - Good luck at the screen. Doesn't it always feel wonderful to get new make up? That will certainly help you feel more confident as you start back at this job!

Dawn - Poor Davy and poor you! Two frustrated beings. When is he getting snipped? I hope you can make it through! DH has a horrible time with prescriptions too and always has difficulty when they have to make a switch. I hope you get that straightened out for you.

Welcome Neet! We always love it when new people jump in! Could you tell us your first name? I hope you are enjoying the O. That's one of the best things about being here is the amazing family. We have started a group called the "Healthy O's" that is focusing on eating right, working out, and getting healthy. It's a private forum so that we can all feel comfortable sharing our woes. We just started a new "round" or weigh-ins on Friday, but you could certainly see if you could join us if you want. PM Karah Fredericks if you'd like to join us. Her username is Karah.

I better get going. I think I hear Ben getting up finally! =) Have a great day darlings!

MMM
To have some fun with my boys
To get a pedicure before my busy week
To get my packing list for Chicago done

Duh! That would have been good to give my name, wouldn't it? LOL....

My name is Jeanye.

Thanks for the info about the Healthy O's! I am definitely going to PM Karah. I need that extra motivation!

Okie dokie... am back from the HR screen and the drug test... physical is at 1:00 so I thought I'd come home, change into my comfy clothes and hang out until around 12:20 or so...

I got the money specifics for my job this morning... almost $1.00 more than the other job... so better in the long run... and I'll start on the 14th with an orientation day. I've checked in with the healthy O's this morning since I was out of town this past Friday...

Dawn - the new make-up is awesome... I can't even feel it on my skin.. the Ulta store in Lexington has the Bare Minerals/Escentuals basic starter kit on sale right now for $39.99 which includes 2 shades of foundation, the warmth (bronzer) and the mineral veil, as well as a buki brush, the CD on application, and an Ulta exlusive mineral moisturizer... I also got a free Bare Minerals black mascara for free... it's cheaper in the long run to do the club through Bare Escentuals plus you get free gifts, but I wanted to make sure the shade I got was the right one so I went into Ulta to ask...

Jeanye - welcome to the O!

Okay... just wanted to check in again... gotta work on some stuff before my appt!

@chris: I wanted to add you at fb, but I couldnt find you, do you have a directlink? or maybe Im too blind.

Thanks for the welcome!!!

I have been using Bare Minerals for 3 years and absolutely LOVE it! It is so much better for your skin. I got my sister switched over to it a few years ago as well. You will love it!!!;)

Mornin' ladies.

Ella loved Ice Age 3. Super cute movie. She is already asking for it on DVD. ;)

Came home to some bad news last night. :( My mom had to put my cat to sleep yesterday. He was mine from 2002 when I adopted him from the Humane Society, until 2007 when I went into the hospital for 2 months when I was pregnant with the boys and no one was home to care for him. Due to some other issues, he stayed at her house.

He was huge - I think 26 pounds when he died. And he had horrible asthma. Yesterday he had a really bad asthma attack, brought on by the humidity at their house, and he was in severe distress. The vet said there was nothing that could be done, and he was suffering so much. :( I am feeling heavy-hearted today. I put a photo of him and Jacob from 2 weeks ago, up on Facebook.

I will try to be back later for personals.

Hey girlies!! I'm supposed to be doing a million things right now, but I'm choosing to post in the Os today instead!! LOL!!! Today is our typical Monday. Lillian and Quentin went to the gym this morning. Q is there until noon. Lil only did an hour class...she rolled her ankle on the trampoline and it really stressed her out. She couldn't stop limping even though there was no swelling (thank GOD!!). So she decided that a nap was needed to get over it. She's asleep on my bed. We need to get her to bed earlier!! LOL!!!

So when we pick up Q from the gym (in 20 mins), we'll go straight to lessons. The three older kids have guitar and drum lessons and Cora and I have vocal lessons. They are all in the same place. Lil will probably just sit there and read and color. Love being 7, huh?

Then this afternoon we are learning how to do a persuasive essay (I think! LOL!! better check that out before I teach them! ahahaha). They are all doing really well with their writing. I'm excited about that!! :)

Later this evening, Emma and I will go to drawing lessons. I still haven't done my homework (copying - not tracing - a line drawing of a bicycle!!!). I better do that work!! LOL!!! Then tonight we'll just veg in front of the tv...or computer. There are sooo many episodes of everything I need to catch up on while Mr Gorgeous is in CA!! oh yeah, did I mention Mr Gorgeous left for his monthly week in CA?

And (this is for my benefit so I don't forget!!) I have to send out invites to my BFFs shower which is this Sunday!! I've already emailed a bunch, but there are the few that get the actual invite!! yikes! that will be done right after we learn about writing again!! :)

So...just a lazy day, huh? LOL!! typical sally...

Cornelia, glad Amelie is feeling better!! her pierced ears are soooo cute!! :) hope Michael is feeling better after his fall!! :)

Chris, ohhhhh I need to get my toes done, too!! I think I'm gonna go for bright red for my Alaska trip!! (well, my feet will be in boots the whole time, cause they are my most comfy for walking! :)) enjoy the beach, hun!! :)

Sandra, I'm sooo excited for your job!! :) yay for more money, too!! all works out for the good, darling!! :)

Dawn, LOL about Thumper!! :) Hope you get great contacts!! :) I want to get them, but my kids (and bank acct) keep arguing with me about it! :) have a great day!

Jeanye, sounds like you have a great day ahead of you, too!! Where in TX are ya? I'm in SW Houston!! We could be neighbors!! Or in New england terms, we could live three states away! LOL!!! Welcome to our wonderful family!! :)

Sara, wow!! You sound busier than me!! :) hope you have a splendid day, darling!! and I finished the Guernsey book in two days - marvelous quick read!! I think Cora read it in a day...LOL!! 14yo for ya...HUGS!!

Hi everyone else...LindaW, LindaP, LindaS (where are you?? I miss you!!), Kayleigh!! soo glad to see you here a couple of days ago, Mary Ellen!! miss you, too!!, Tali, Andrea, Ona, and EVERYONE!!!!!!!

love you all!! :)

Hello O's. I'm recovering from the weekend! Saturday we spent part of the day doing dirt work in the basement. Carrying five gallon pails of dirt out one by one. Yesterday we mixed cement and carried it down to the basement by five gallon pails to pour a cement pad for the new stairs we are putting in. After that, it was into the garden with the tiller. Mr. Wonderful helped, thank heavens, otherwise I wouldn't be able to move at all today.
Saturday we had a friend and his two children over to shoot off fireworks. Pretty mellow but a perfect evening for it.
Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

Happy Monday everyone... :) I just got home from spending 4 days in Bellingham WA for the fourth. We had a lot of fun, but now I have 4 days to get ready for our Huge Annual camping trip we go for 14 days. Lot's of packing and cleaning ahead of me.

Sandra: I have used Bare Minerals for many years. I love it very much... it is my favorite brand of make-up that I have ever used. I hope you enjoy it.

Jeanye: Welcome to the O :)

Dawn: I'm newer at the Daily O's (trying to check in more often) But I'm thinking that Davy is a Pet Rabbit? I hope getting him Snipped will calm things for him and you. I used to have a Chinchilla pet rabbit even had it trained to go in a litter box. That was a loooooong time ago ... I grew up on a farm.

Tali: So sorry to hear about your cat... sending you a ((hug))

I wish you all a wonderful day... sounds like it is a busy week for many here... I'm hoping to get some motivation to start cleaning and packing...blah...

((hugs))

Good morning ladies!! Right now I keep hopping over to ebay to see about soem saltwater sandals I want to buy. I need to find some for Addie. She has been very hard on her shoes and she needs something without toes on them because she is ruining all of her shoues. But saltwater sandals are so dang expensive. Grrrr!!

Sounds like everyone had some great weekends. Ours was a lot of fun. Like I said before...we did the races. That was a lot of fun although Addie hated the fireworks. then we headed off to a friend's property on a lake. That was a blast. We just hung out in the sunshine, played in the water and then that night watched fireworks that people set off around the lake. It was great. poor Addie though. Like I said, fireworks scare her, although I do think it is the sound that really bugs her. So once they started she wanted to lay down...so I set out a towel and covered her up with a blanket. This became her safe spot I guess. As long as she was there she was good to go. So after awhile the fireworks slowed down a bit so she came out from under the blanket and was standing by her dad. then a firework went off and she dropped flat to her tummy on the ground and then ran over to her spot under the blanket. Then after awhile she headed out from under the blanket again and of course another firework went off. So she dropped down to a crouch and ran/crawled over to her blanket. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen.

Well, I have to go check e-bay and see if I can get those sandals. I'm off for a bit but will be back soon.

Oh...and Cornelia - go to Oscraps on FB and you should be able to find everyone you want if you go through the list.

@clara: I know, i was at fb and wrote in her name, but there were so many with those name, so didnt now who is the right one:D

Okay...I am back. I got the red pair but not the light pink pair I really really wanted. Too bad.

So...

Cornelia - I am so glad to hear that Cornelia is feeling better. Poor thing. It is sometimes so hard to tell what is going on with them between actual illness, teething and stomach problems thay can have days where they are just a mess. Her pics are too cute. I didn't realize she had red hair. So cute. Did she get her ears peirced at the doctor's office? I'm sorry your trip was so stressful and that the cleanup is going to be such a pain. I understand that completely. We have quite the mess also.

Chris - don't you hate it when your appointments are so far away. I take my kids to a dentist that is about 40 minutes from home (DawnCW...if you need a dentist for your kids let me know because I know the best pedodontist in Fircrest ever). I hate driving up there but he is so unbelieveably awesome I am scared to go anyplace else. Ethan had to have a lot of work done and is still not scared of the dentist. But it is so difficult to take them there I really think I need to consider going someplace closer. Ugh!! I hope you get out to the lake though.

Sandra - I am glad things went easy for your HR screening. Drug testing is always so strange to me. they dye the water so you can't water down your sample...don't have a sink in there to wash your hands and all sorts of weirdness. In the Army they watch you pee so that they don't have to do all of that. That is always big fun. I am so glad I don't have to do it again now that I work for the hospital. They don't want to hire drug addicts but i guess don't care if you become one later. Lol. that makeup sounds awesome. If and when I ever start really wearing makeup I might check into it. Right now I only wear it about 3-4 times a year.

Dawn - sounds like Davy is a mix of a cat and a small dog mushed into one animal. I really never thought a rabbit would be that interesting. I thought they just sat in their cages and looked cute. I hope you get the contact situation figured out. that sounds no fun. I really need to order a new pair of glasses. I have the prescription but just haven't gone to buy them yet.

Jeanye - Welcome to the O!! We just love new people here since we were all new at one point. The healthy Os are great. YYou should definately come and join us. What is a HOG meeting??

Sara - I am sending some house cleaning fairies to your house right after they clean up mine. lol!! Weekends are the worst aren't they? Ihope you get to take Ben to the zoo. I think I need to plan a trip to the zoo.

Tali - that is so sad about your kitty. It is amazing how close we become to the animals in our lives. Big hugs for you. I'm glad you guys enjoyed Ice Age. It looks like a fun movie. I love that series of movies. Great humor for kids and adults.

Sally - another busy day in the life of you!! I don't know how you manage, especially with YMG gone for the week. I'll bet you are so excited for your trip to AK. Did my SIL ever contact you? She's awesome but not the best on follow thru. No matter what you will have a blast there. It is just too gorgeous. The people there are so proud of their state and everything it has to offer. I can't wait to hear all about it.

LindaP - I hope you get everything done in your house soon. I hate having projects going on in my house. Makes me crazy. How did the cement pad go? I know that can be a bit dicey sometimes.

DawnCW - I'm glad you had fun in Bellingham. Where are you going camping?? A 14 day camping trip?? I hope that is not in a tent the entire time. I don't think I could do that long in a tent. Is it a big family thing?? Sounds like it would be fun though.

Well, I am off. I should have a long lunch today. Whoohoo!! So I am hoping to find some sandals for dd. Her problem with shoes is making me crazy and is going to be expensive.

cornelia - just keep scrolling through the list and you should see everyone you want to find, instead of looking for people individually. That is how I found everyone.

Clara.... Yes this is a big camping trip that our families meet up every year. My DH and I both went to the same place as children (over 24 years) and we didn't even know it until we met in College and was talking with each other ! All those years we went at different times with our families. Since we got married back in 97 both our families now go together, it has changed since my dad passed away... but we still enjoy it a lot.

My DH's parents have a large nice motorhome.... then we all camp around it in tents. we usually stay 10-14 days all of us love to camp...we have areo beds to sleep on in the tents so it is really comfortable... it is a beautiful place called Keller Ferry on Lake Roosevelt in Eastern Washington. There is a little town called Wilbur where we can get supplies :) it is fun and the kids love it.

Also I talked to my DH and he says that REI is having their next Members only Garage Sale on September 9th I have linked it up for you :) The last one was around Jun 14th as they have them every 3 months.

Have you tried the sandal called Keen's? Our kids are hard on them too and these really hold up even if they are a bit expensive. Here is a link for a girls pair so you can see them they also come in purple: Keens

Ok I'm totally procrastinating as I really should be cleaning.... can we all have some cleaning faries? please?

Thanks Dawn. I will def look into them and pass on the REI info to my hubby. Isn't it weird to think our hubby's have possibly had conversations with each other? It is such a small world. A good friend of mine works at Red Robin next door. Such a small world. I'll look into the keen's. I do love them. It may be worth it for the kids. I just wish they had normal sized feet. They have narrow heels and it goes wide like a triangle towards the front. I always had Ethan looking like a clown in shoes way too big for him so that the front of his foot would fit.

Sounds like a fun camping trip. That is so funny that you and your dh would camp at the same spot. You are amazing being able to camp in a tent for that long. I'm sure your dh has all the great camping stuff though.

@clara: thanks I will try this, btw my daughters name is Amelie not Cornelia ,
my little crazy girl is sleeping now, wanted the whole day nothing to eat and only crying, if you didnt hold her in your arms, I wasnt able to do anything, that never happend beforen, maybe I do less, but nothing lol strange day, hope tomorrow will be better,
so quiet here and I have to say I love it, could be like this every evening.

hope everyone is having a nice day

Hugs

Clara, that is crazy that our husbands have possibly chatted...It is a small world! hey you and I could've even crossed paths and not even known it ! I think of that a lot especially after a couple of weeks ago I organized a neighborhood garage sale... I was selling a lot of stamps and craft items that i don't use (over flow) lol... I was talking and a lady mentioned that she digi scrapped... I said I did too and that I was a designer at oscraps... It was so funny that she knew who I was and had some of my designs ... It was so much fun to talk to her. Such a small world :)

After this crazy Summer time we should get together for coffee or something :) It would be fun to meet :) I just went and caught up on the other daily O threads because I thought I was missing something... It is hard to keep up with everything... you all are amazing at it!!! I want to try as I would love to get to know you all a bit better :)

Clara I also wanted to answer your question about HS... I went to Bethel HS and grew up on a farm in Roy WA. I'm trying to remember where you live?

Sara (Petey111) You say your Aunt lives in Bellingham are you from the Pacific NW too?

Cornelia how old is your sweet Amelie?

Have any of you ever tried to use Skype with each other? I actually talked to a good digi friend in Finland last week it was so much fun and it's Free!

hey Dawn, I'll be in Gig Harbor at the end of this month. On our way back from Alaska, we are going to stay two days at my sister's there...I love the Pacific Northwest. Have fun camping!! :)

Sally... I love Gig Harbor it is a beautiful town and about 15 minutes away from me :) They have so many cute little shops and I go there once in a while. How long has your Sister lived there? Are you from this area too? Where do you live now?
