The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
:bouncing:

I'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Well, I am free for the most part. The appt went fine, the bone is showing the right amount of remodeling. Pain levels/range of motion/muscle strength are all where they should be. I am cleared for normal activity and low-level hiking. No rock scrambles (not that I do them often anyway) just yet but the trails at work are fine. He kept cautioning me that I need to be careful not to roll my ankle or fall and to go slowly at first.
*fist pump*
I texted my friend as soon as I got home to see if she wanted me to come next week to clean her house-- it's been months. She texted me back so fast! :giggle4: I warned her that I might not be able to finish what I typically do and pay accordingly.

I have a busy weekend/next few days. The shower is today and tomorrow, we are going to my mom's for Mother's Day. I have to get her something-- maybe just flowers. I don't have any other ideas and no extra money. I know she never expects anything, but I can't go empty-handed either. Monday is the Lyme doctor for Gary and me. Squeeze in Cheery O work and lesson planning for Tues and the next field trip and the schedule is packed.
I got a few texts yesterday from the intern who was covering for me on the Pod field trip. He had a couple of last-minute questions since the weather was calling for heavy rain all day. Then he updated me with some pics and said that the day went great. I love it when a plan goes off smoothly.

I don't know if I have time to blow my hair out stright or if I should leave it a curly mess today. If I can do brief personals I shoud be able to blow it out.
Any bets on whether I can stop rambling too much? :thinking2:

xo

Thank you all for the good wishes for my foot! :hug4:

Beginning to think it might be a problem with the telephone wiring as the internet is working fine,
So that's some good and not so good right there. I hope that the line is fixable, and thank goodness you have the internet.
Have a wonderful visit with your DDs!

Honestly it looks like I paid an exorbitant amount for a bag of sugar!
*grumbles* That is irritating. At least you know not to get it again.
I hope that you were able to rest and are feeling back to yourself. Good luck with the devotionals today.

@taxed4ever Smart woman, not getting the Moderna shot. Sorry that your Gary is feeling like crud.
We had on person on our hike with a bear horn and she kept blowing it over and over again, we were all telling her to stop, it was so annoying and it was just pissing the bears off .
hahah!!! And that is the last thing you want to do-- annoy the bears. (pssst-- she is lucky no one got seriously aggravated and pushed her towards the bears :devil2: )
I want photos of how you managed to wrap them. That should be fun.
I should have been clearer- the nightstands are to be assembled. It was just hard to maneuver the heavy boxes on the table. although I have wrapped some things oddly over the years...
I did giggle and thought ooooohhhhhh Uber Moose in training. Maybe they'll get Chris on time now!
Maybe I have a chance!
Have you posted any of the recipe LOs? They sound wonderful and with you-- I love me a messy page (obvs!) but for the recipes, a clean uniform look sounds awesome.

It is a beautiful spring day and I am wishing I hadn't signed up for a nurse shift. I just want to go outside and play! Hope you all have a great day.
I hope the weather is still perfect for you the next time you have off.

I've learned to be pretty protective of my Friday afternoons. 1 in 6 weeks I'll schedule a lunch out with a friend or an appt. The remaining 5 are time I get to spend a.l.o.n.e.
Yes!!! Good for you!!! :highfive: Enjoy the Pottery Fair today!

This time we got a few new shrubs so it was even more expensive than usual. So we spent most of yesterday weeding and planting, and my legs are letting me know that this isn't bike riding!
But it's a good hurt! At least that is how I feel after I am sore from gardening.
Good thoughts to your DD. I would feel the same as you, no need to catastrophize. Cautious, sure, but catastrophizing doesn't sound necessary.

Ooh, think I did pretty good with not rambling!

TTYS! :grouphugyay:

Good Sunny bright beautiful day!

I'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Well, I am free for the most part. The appt went fine, the bone is showing the right amount of remodeling. Pain levels/range of motion/muscle strength are all where they should be. YEAH!!!!!! That's so wonderful!! I bet you feel like a whole new woman!!!
I should have been clearer- the nightstands are to be assembled. It was just hard to maneuver the heavy boxes on the table. although I have wrapped some things oddly over the years...
Oh, I'm slightly disappointed but should have known. Everything always comes with some assembly required. :giggle4:
Maybe I have a chance!
Have you posted any of the recipe LOs? They sound wonderful and with you-- I love me a messy page (obvs!) but for the recipes, a clean uniform look sounds awesome.
Nope, haven't posted any recipe LO as they have photos or they are supplies not sold here. I just scrap whatever, however when its not for a challenge. Mostly though they have photos of people with the recipe, like birthday cakes. I chose a nice neutral white background which sounds boring but when you make it 100% size you can see a bit of texture so its not white like printing paper. All the fonts are the same size. I'll see if I can get a quick screen shot showing all the recipes sitting in the file. They look neat and clean. Tons of white space which is odd for me but it looks better. I'll see if I can do a side by side of the before and after so you can see why I changed my mind.

Yesterday was glorious and sunny! 81* on my deck in the sun 55* everywhere else. Today is going to be the same if not hotter. My clothes are dried on the line outside. Never used the dryer yesterday and its amazing. I love how they smell. I think I sat outside for 2 hours. Got a bit of sun and it felt glorious. Compression tights had to go though. I could feel my feet swelling the longer I sat outside but when I came in I looked and they were not anything like in the past. So they did swell some but not as bad as I feared they might. YEAH! Today will find me outside sitting again until we have to run kiddo to a friends house and run errands. Off to grab some coffee. Have a wonderful day!

@faerywings Here are a few side by sides. If you can imagine them all in a book, where the recipe is to shine, you can see the white ones will look better all put together. The colorful ones are more fun but I dont think they'll go well together. I have a few pages that are vibrant raspberry color cause of the recipe calling for raspberry jello. Just jarring to look at when all together.

Morning O family another very quick post from me as we are headed out the door once again to do some errands, more stuff from Home Depot and a few groceries! We had a very nice rain this morning and it was really needed! All the potted plants are very happy to have the nice drink! Having dinner tonight with the In-Laws for Mother's Day as tomorrow we are going to a Celebration of Life for SIL Linda's ex boyfriends Mother, not the best way to spend Mother's Day but I will go visit my parents at their grave site and have already gotten some roses for Mom. I sure miss her and Dad and now my brothers also! Still not sure what my SIL is going to do with my brother's ashes, but I guess she will decide one of these days. Anyway I gotta run, have a lovely Saturday! :waving3:

Well this is it - down to the wire. 2 days to get it all done- departing noon on monday. Yesterday I pruned a few shrubs, weeded the last garden, packed clothes, made my reservation for camping with youngest grandson in NY, dehydrated herbs since I cannot take my plants. I did some laundry, made lunch, took 2 bags of food to the trailer, made chopped wedge salad for a friends celebration of life. Last evening we went to the club for our goodbye pot luck for a long time member, it was over at 8:00 but hubby invited friends over for drinks....ugh I was tired and wanted to sit to relax, they only stayed till 9:30 so not too bad. This morning we made a trip to the trailer put out the slide so I was able to put clothes away and stow stuff under the bed. Doing more laundry and other things on my list. Will get another food bag together.
So today is our son's 51st birthday not sure how he got so old when I'm only 36 (my twin brother and I share our age) LOL. I called him but had to leave a message, he called me back but I missed the call, I called him back no answer- he must be busy at the shop. His son asked his mother "are we going to have another blow out party for Dad like we did last year?" So cute. "nope"
This morning there are only 9 baby ducks:sad1:

@faerywings Yippeee Free!!! I'm glad you are healing and can get back to your normal busy life. Good job following the Dr. orders. Have a fun time at the bridal shower. I hope you put a red bow out and that it works.

@Terri M I will try cooking eggs in the insta-pot

@BrightEyes Girltime---how nice. Sorry you are having phone trouble, I hope the techs can help you. We got rid of our land line 15 years ago, we only had it for our security but changed that system so didn't need it. We love our iPhones.

@vickyday I hope you feel better, there were a few sick people here too. Are you done decluttering? That was a big job

@tiffany scraps I wish you many days off with wonderful weather.

@taxed4ever how annoying to have someone with a horn blowing the entire hike that really spoils it for everyone it was just rude.

@mimes1 Enjoy your friday afternoons...alone or with someone it will be just want you need. I hope you found some cool items at the pottery fair I wish you very Happy Mothers day I hope you get to be with your wonderful girls.

Got to go clean more in kitchen and put sealer on the granite counters.

Have a wonderful weekend

Finally.... tech was here for over an hour. Swapped out the modem and had to do several other things but finally can receive and send call on my landline. Not sure what the problem was as when he put the new modem in - it still had no dial tone. Had to reset the new modem a couple of times. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't happen again. He did check all the lines - inside and outside and signals were good everywhere.

The girls and I had a leisure time this AM... they slept in until 9AM and I was up from 7AM. Fixed muffins... oh, so good. Then they dressed and headed over to DD#1's son house to do some work there. They should be back anytime now.

Sitting out on the back patio this morning I could hear the Cedar waxwings coming through! They are here for a month or so every spring. In CA they would pass through for about a week, and they would flock up in the trees at the zoo. Seeing them here more often is super exciting for me. The Merlin app pointed out a Great Crested Flycatcher. I don't know that I've ever seen one, didn't see one today, but it was vocalizing! The Pottery Fair was fun but very overwhelming. The crowd was ridiculous, and you kind of had to fight your way to the tables to see the art work and when we got to the tables it was so crowded you couldn't linger very well without being pushed out. The area of tpwn it was in we had never been to before, and it had a super fun vibe, kids activities, seats and swings and fire tables, restaurants, street food, nicely planted, old brick buildings. It was really fun. They even had a pickleball/restaurant/coffee bar! Super cute concept. When we got home I helped Belle with some computer work and Mark did some yard work, now we're finally winding down.

@BoatLady It's amazing that it's time for your trip already! Where has the time gone? When you get this way give me a holler for sure and maybe we can catch up.
@faerywings good job and congrats on the clearance, now listen to the doctor, and all of us, and don't overdo it. Take it a little slow and work up to it.
@BrightEyes Praying your line continues to work for you! Having a nice leisurely morning sounds nice.

I have to go to church early tomorrow to do some set up that I couldn't do on Friday. Belle and Mark will go with me and help me and it won't take long. After church I'm hoping for a coffee and some time to get the rest of our plants in the ground. That will be a wonderful Mother's Day. Hope you all have a great day tomorrow.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL YOU O-MOMS.

@mimes1 I've heard the Flycatcher on Merlin to but never saw it, so that makes two of us. Elusive I guess. I had the cedar waxwings here once years ago but not again. I will be in touch on the way back if we are close...no route planned yet.
@AK_Tracy Yippe you finally got a weather break so you can enjoy your porch. How nice to hang clothes out to dry I miss being able to do that. Not practical to do here sadly.

Good morning and Happy Sunday and Mother's Day to everyone. I thank and honor all mothers in their many forms today. Moms to humans, pets, ideas, and art!

I was letting the dogs out at 6 am and saw that I had a bunch of flowers and a card on my front steps that was from Sam and Scott. Sam gets credit for this, I know it was all her doing. ;)

The bridal shower was so nice and Jen looked beautiful. Her bridesmaids did a wonderful job putting it together for her. By the time we got home, I did a few things around the house, then worked on my Tuesday lesson until it was time to cook dinner. They might need to get redone/switched around because it looks like it is going to rain on and off all week. The topic is pollinators- how do you explore pollen and pollinators only inside or in the rain? Pffftttt.
And on top of that, here I am, all excited that I can start cleaning out my gardens and might not get to b/c of rain. Double pffffttt!

We are heading to my mom's around 9 and hope to be back early enough in the afternoon that maybe I can squeeze in an hour or so of yard work. :praying2:

Love and hugs to you all!
xoxoxo

My electric bill would love it if I could dry clothes outside, but they would come back in caked with pollen. Everything is green and yellow these days. (not to mention I am lazy, that is the bigger issue LOL)
I am soo happy that you were able to sit in the sun and not swell too much! Hope you did that again yesterday too.
I love the look of the colorful recipe pages, but I am with you that the clean pages will look better assembled in a cookbook.

Sending you and your family love, Trudy. :hug3:

Well this is it - down to the wire. 2 days to get it all done- departing noon on monday.
It must be nerve-wracking, mentally and physically exhausting, but sooo dang exciting at the same time! :woohoo:

So today is our son's 51st birthday not sure how he got so old when I'm only 36
LOL!!!

I am keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't happen again. He did check all the lines - inside and outside and signals were good everywhere.
That is so weird and my fingers and toes are crossed it does nto happen again. Hope you are having the best time with your girls♥

That is soooo exciting! Since I didn't get to see birds up close and couldn't recognize all that many. I never paid attention to their migration patterns before. It's weird not seeing the juncos out there every morning, they were my tried and true visitors unti a month ago.
Ugh, that stinks about the pottery fair being so crowded that you can't enjoy the artwork.
I promise to try my best to go slow as I get back to my normal level of working and hiking. I will admit that I know myself and there will be at least one time that I get home and say oops, that was too much. My goal is to only make that mistake once.

Debby- enjoy your day!

Good Morning My Beautiful O Ladies!

@AK_Tracy Yippe you finally got a weather break so you can enjoy your porch. How nice to hang clothes out to dry I miss being able to do that. Not practical to do here sadly.
The porch sitting was amazing and the laundry smelled sooooo good. I love being able to hang them outside. I'm sorry you cant do that.
I was letting the dogs out at 6 am and saw that I had a bunch of flowers and a card on my front steps that was from Sam and Scott. Sam gets credit for this, I know it was all her doing. ;)
Awwww how sweet of them!
See, I battle lazy vs frugal. Frugal won since natural gas prices have gone up. There is just something so satisfying in hanging them though and they smell so good. I like the look of the colorful recipes too and they were so fun. But the fact I haven't done anything since June '23 tells me it wasn't working and I wasn't in love. I like how it looks with it all similar. I uploaded both to Shutterfly too look and the white looks much better. Pleasing over all with the consistent theme. Still fun as it has photos and elements but not so eye crazy colors everywhere.

Today should be another beautiful day to sit outside. Its bright bright bright sunny. The only time I'm sorry my bedroom window faces sunrise, summer. The suns showing her beautiful rays by 5 a.m. and they manage to get around my blackout curtains. No more sunsets for me until fall. No more sunrises until fall either. Almost 18 hours of sunshine now. Well, must finish getting ready for church and get another cup of coffee.
