Happy Weekend to everyone!

I am opening this up to say good morning to all of you, and that i hope you have a fabulous day!

mmm mmmm mmm! I loove my coffeeeeeee!

I have to take Caitlyn this morning to get some fasting blood work done, and I am so happy that it isn't me that has to fast. I can live w/o food, but caffeine..... eh.. not so much.

yesterday's cleaning went good. it took me 4.5 hours, but I think I'll be able to get it down to 3.5. I am a bit stiff and sore today but I guess that is to be expected. I am not used to cleaning like that any more. even when I clean for MIL, I take coffee/lunch breaks with her. The woman's house is really cute- she uses lots and lots of color to decorate and everything is like it should be out of a magazine. But it is so cozy and friendly. It made me come home and want to do something to my house.

Laurie- good for you on testing those cookies. It would have been horrible if you gave them out and they weren't up to your standards. My kids call it poison testing- they have to poison test the christmas cookies before I pack them up.
Did you make it to dance last night?

Kayleigh- aaaahhhhh! Sleep is soooooo nice! Good for you and for baby K!!

Clara-- woooooot! The ramblings are back!! Love them!!! If you want, I can come down to you and push you to the clinic in our shopping cart. we can soup it up a bit if you like. Paint some flames on a bike helmet and go. :)
Good luck with Addie and reading- once she gets going, I bet she won't stop. Oh, I know of a little 'exercise" that I bet she would love to do. does she like to play school? Get a bunch of picture books-no words- and have her "read" to you. Let her be the teacher and make up the story from the pictures only. have her hold the book "teacher style" (facing you, not her). This develops some strong pre-reading skills, such as left-right progression, looking for details, putting pictures into words. Most of all its great to develop a love for reading and books.
You'll make a great student too LOL

Meg- how are you feeling? What book are you reading? Hope that you felt great all day and got to enjoy yourself.

sally- good for you to make some Me Time. I haven't been able to scrap in ages and ages. :(
xoxo

Trudy (((((hugs)))))) I am so sad to hear about that girl. Good thoughts to you and YMG. I can't imagine the emotional toll that takes on everyone.
Can you take hubby away for a night for his b-day? It sounds like you both could use a mini-vacation getaway after this.

::grouphug

morning rather late for me- we slept in until 8:15- rather unheard of in our household- the cat tried to wake me at 4;16 but I fell back asleep. Almost slept too much- waiting for the coffee to hit my veins while I upload CT layouts all over the net (& here). We did go to dance and had a fun time, small crowd. The owner wants us to take part in an intermission show at the place where we are going out to dance to live band for Valentines day. In a way I was flattered, in a way I just want to go out and enjoy the evening for what it is- time with my man. Guess we will discuss it on the way to dance practice and make a decision. I will have to walk and exercise later- or maybe save exercise for tomorrow. We also have to grocery shop after dance and perhaps spend some time at a surprise bday party for a co-worker. I would love to stay home and scrap, but that looks like tomorrow!

Trudy- how sad- I would get him a gift certificate ( maybe alter Molly's christmas freebie) for some time away for just the two of you, or dinner out- or go have some glam photos taken and surprise him!

Good morning ladies!

I am sitting here listening to Derek get ready to take Ethan for a bike ride. Nothing is simple with him. They can't just get on their bikes and go apparently. So, almost an hour later they are still getting ready. And he wonders why I never want to go anywhere. Silly boys.

So, the other day was funny. I was in my room and Ethan comes up with this drawing that Derek had drawn him explaining what the kidneys do. Then Ethan told me that he was the one who made it anatomically correct. Boys! So then he was explaining it to me and I was putting labels on the parts. So when we got to the urethra I told him that the urethra on boys was longer than on girls because it went through the penis. That took the conversation to a whole new place...no longer educational and completely silly. You say the word penis and Ethan is laying on the ground laughing. It was really funny. But then Addie heard it and started running through the house yelling "PEEEEE-NIIIIIIIIS!!!" So, finally I got her settled down and asked her if she even knew what the word meant and of course she didn't. So, I told her it was where the pee came out on boys and she didn't believe me. Well, she had been acting so crazy before that so when she went down to ask her dad if that was real or not he wouldn't even let her talk. After that we got to have a little chat about appropriateness since Addie's other favorite word is nipple. That was quite the word of embarrassment one day in a store. She thinks that word encompasses the entire body part and so this lady with a very large chest walks into the store as we are leaving and she starts making these announcements in the store and asking why the lady has such large nipples. The more I told her to quiet down...the louder she got.

Well, nothing major planned this weekend. Just cleaning up the house and waiting for the boys to leave for their supposed bike trip. LOL!!

Chris - I love the tricked out cart idea. I'm all over it. I love the picture book idea too. I'll have to find some books that would work well.

Laurie - so cool that you were asked to dance, but I understand not wanting to do it also. I would probably have the same issues. I hope the extra sleep was good for you. I am a sleeper and love to sleep as much as possible in the mornings.

Well, I'll be back throughout the weekend I am sure.

Morning all...still  darn cold!! I don't have time for this, its my only day off and so much to do. :washing: grocery shopping and now I have to do all the little things that MG usually does like take out the garbage and clean the inside of the van. My sister also wants me to do up a photo for her, one of her co-workers was killed a while back in a car accident and they are starting a bursary in her name, they are doing a fund raiser. So I also have to try to get that finished today. Also need to make more soup. I think I have a full day ahead of me.

Chris - mmmmm, I love coffee too!! on my second cup already, hope you have a great weekend!! Sounds like the place you clean is really nice and I'm sure you will get faster at cleaning. Thanks for the birthday suggestions, but I think that my hubby will be working for his birthday and he probably won't be home in time to go for dinner anywhere, last night it was 11:00pm when he walked in the door, then up again at 5:30am to head out the door again. Poor guy, but he loves his job!!

Laurie - Thank you too for the suggestions, I have kinda suggested that we take off to Vegas for our Anniversary coming up at the end of February. We will see if he takes the bait or not. How nice that you got asked to dance for the intermission show, very flattering, you and YMG must be very good dancers!! I will have to go check out all of your layouts that you are so busy with today!!

Clara - Tooo funny about the PEEEEE-NIIIIIIIS story, don't you just love what comes out of the mouth of babes!! It's always when you are in a crowd that they can be the most embarrasing.....love it!! :pound:

Too everyone else who pops in here, have a great weekend

ahhhhhhh we think Kaylyn has colic  my poor baby. i got a couple things for her so we'll see if that helps.

i finally did some scrapping yesterday and posted some pages.

i hope everyone is doing good, i'm wore out so i'll pop back in here later.

Good evening ladies! What a week...whew!!! It was crazy busy at work...and I thought that this week would be slower! I started getting a cold on Wednesday and by yesterday, I stayed home all day because it had settled in my chest! I'm so far behind that it's not even funny! But alas, going to spend the evening in my O-Home and see what's going on!

Good Evening Ladies!!!

I hope you are all having a FABULOUS weekend!!!

I got to spend quality time with my little Jaid-a-bug this weekend!!! She spent the night last night and I just took her to her Mom about 7 pm tonight!! She is so dang sweet and cute...........but yet those terrible twos are a little nerve wrenching at times....she didn't get into to too much...but she did manage to get in the bathroom once without me knowing and bent up my glasses!!! AAAAAAAAAAACCCKKK!!!! I will be going to the optician first thing Monday...guess I must have my contacts in at all times until then.

IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NICE out today!!! We ran a couple of errands and stopped by the Duck pond to let Jaiden feed the ducks!!! She loved that!!! The whole way home she kept saying "Nana....I miss my ducks"....tooo cute!!!

Today was the Monster Truck Show...so Traci took Jesse to see that. Geoff took Cameran too.....Sharon called and said Geoff sent her a text and said he had just bought Cameran $15 Cotton Candy....she was about to raise the roof!!!!!! It had some Foam Monster Truck Hat....She let him have it!!!! Geoff said it was a special occasion!! HAHAHA!!! I told her that not even Nana and PawPaw would have done that!! :evil2:

Okay...headed off...hope you all have a GREAT Sunday!!! Cleaning and WASHING CARS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY...........another gorgeous day of 50 degrees!!!! but back to 30 on MOnday BOOOOOOOOOOO!!

morning all - with so much play time yesterday, my list to get ready for the work week is getting longer. Oh well. I see we had a dusting of snow last night. I am soon off for church and perhaps getting salt for the water softener on my way home, then it's laundry and bills and and and. Tomorrow night I will scrap- today is get it done day. I really hope to post our dance video someplace online today to share.

Good morning my lOvelies!
I got a lot done here yesterday- I think LOL
I was going to work on my carpets (yes, again) today but i got a not so freindly visit last night and I feel miserable. I don't understand how some months things can be ok, and others knock me for a loop. Today might be just spent lying around with a heat pack.

Laurie- I hope that you get everything done that needs to be done.

Nana Linda- always so good to see you in the Ooo';s- you must be so busy lately. hahahah about the cotton candy. that would be the same w/ Gary and me. If i had a quarter for every time Gary used the line "but it is a special occasion" we'll we'd still be in debt for all of the junk he bought for the kids
I just posted to Linda S- if you need new glasses, try Zenni Optical.com. Laurie mentioned it and that is where I got my new glasses. I am really happy with the, and you seriously cannot beat the price.

Linda S-- fell better hon! Garlic pills and virtual chicken soup coming your way. I am sorry that you are sick, but its so good to see you in the O-gallery!

:pound: Clara-- it must be hysterical to go out with you in public with your kids!!!!! hahahahah! *Great* stories!!!!!
i can't remember if my kids did anything like that.... but OMG- your kids are too funny!
Did the boys make it out for their ride before it got dark?

Trudy- do you need any more soup recipes? I can't remember if I ever posted all of the ones i said I was going to.
Vegas-- oh that would be nice to get away. How is he holding up w/ the investigation?

Kayleigh- colic? Oh no :( That is so totally not fun. My advice, FWIW-
a baby sling. Scott had colic for 6 months and he lived in that sling, it was the only way I could get anything done.
The other thing is to try eliminating certain foods from your diet. i can't remember which ones were big triggers- i think garlic and onions, broccoli, dairy... but you'll want to go through them systematically so you know what could be triggering it.
And Mylicon drops......
good luck!

Laurie- did you make a decision about dancing? I can see both sides too- but for me, I would be so nervous about dancing, that I would not enjoy the first part of the night out. but that is just me.

Gotta get going....
love to you all!

I bought new glasses...they are progressive lenses but they were pricey! However, I'd like to have some back-ups and I think that zenni optical is just the place! Thanks Chris!

Morning Ladies... had my post almost finished and Bammm the power went out grrrrr!! :frusty: so I will start again. I am off to work today for four hrs. not happy about having to work on a Sunday, but its only four hrs. right? Finally got all of the challenges done, Horray!! I had a lot of fun with the last one (rotating challenge) Really went outside my comfort zone, a different way of scrapping for me, but I really enjoyed it! https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=204536&title=fresh-start&cat=all

Chris I am sorry that you were visited by a not so friendly, friend last night I hope that you get to lay around with that heating pad!! Thinking of cleaning your carpets again??? Really?? They must be thread bare by now! LOL. You are one lean, mean ,cleaning machine girl!! My MG got some new info on the case yesterday, so we will see if this pans out or not, working so hard to find out who did this horrible thing!! He got home at 11:00 last nite and up at 5:30 again this morning. But he is finding it very exciting, reminds him of his Major Crimes days when we lived in Regina. At least he gets to come home here. In Regina he would be gone for days sometimes weeks at a time.

Laurie - Hope you get all of your chores done today! I can't wait to see your video!!

Lindas - Yay for new glasses, I loved my progressives, but lost them on the plane last year. Could not afford to get them again, so now I just have single vision....I hate them!! Soon I will get my progressives again. I will have to check out zenni optical, wonder if they deliver to Canada??

Nana Linda - So nice you got to spend time with your little sweetie!! The two's are kinda terrible sometimes though huh!! Hope your weather stays mild for a while, you deserve some warmer temps!!

evening all - apparently we might get nasty weather this week- plus side- lots of cancels at work, down side- driving in it! Chris- we will dance- I figure most people won't know if we mess up! We have practiced this dance so much- and I tried to upload it today to photo bucket and it kept messing up. Would anyone recommend to youtube- I am kind of wary about that one- because it would have to be public from what I read.

Good evening....

BOOOOOOOO weekend is almost over!!

I have had a busy weekend....but yet still did not accomplished all I had hoped to...oh well.......there is always another day.

I really have a whole pile of things that I need to take care of...just haven't gotten to them yet....so it looks like the next couple of days will be dedicated to cleaning up my to do list

Okay....better get...I have a kitchen sink full of dishes that I do not want to wake up to tomorrow!!! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN??? I just ran the dishwasher yesterday evening!!!
