WOOOO!!!!!!!!!! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: IT'S FRIDAY!!! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Even though it technically isn't my Friday, I still like celebrating it!!! I have a NOVEL for you gals today... lots of time on my hands waiting for the dryer...

I know this should go in the Gratitudes thread -- but I want you all to know I love you and totally value our daily Ooo's and friendships!!!!!!! I learn so much from you amazing women, and your encouragement keeps me going!

I'm definitely in a much better mood than Wednesday! Yesterday I baked cinnamon biscotti's, went to the LEO gear store with Jeff, and spent all afternoon/evening trying to list my newest kit & stuff. That takes FOREVER. Emily is doing better, she just tries not to use that leg -- but she's as happy as ever. It's odd, but we're giving her baby aspirin per her weight (thanks Chris!) and once I go to Costco again, I'll get her some Move Free. Riley on the other hand has been having bad allergies (duh, we're what, #3 on the dirtiest air list now?) She's been scratching & rubbing her eyes, so I gave her half a benedryl (sp) tablet (1mg per lb for dogs,) we'll see if that helps. I'll give her more in the morning.

My FIL had a GOOD interview yesterday morning! It's with a company that does cafeteria/catered meals for one of the courthouses. Apparently, the company that does this bought out the company that he used to be a manager at back when they lived in Santa Cruz! So he had great conversations and felt really good!! No idea when we'll hear back.

The gear store was a somewhat bust, they didn't have the shoes Jeff wanted in wide... so we ordered them. I'm going to try and talk him in to getting another pair of boots that are more breathable, because he gets too hot and all those yucky feet issues come up. Which is why we need to get him new boots  The only reason he wants these certain boots is because the toe is in patent leather, so he doesn't have to shine them as much. I just see the patent leather getting scratched too easily, and the reviews say they're not sewn well. Jeff argues that his last pair were ruined because he wore them hunting & that his boss has had the same shoes for 20 years (they've only been around 2.)
So, I guess I'll let him spend $150 on a pair of boots that in a month he's going to be complaining about again, and it'll be an expensive "I told you so!" for me.

I think another reason I've been in such a mood lately is because my university has been making national headlines because their student body president is an illegal immigrant. I had such a hard time working my way through that school, I only qualified for student loans one semester because my mom refused to disclose all her info (she's crazy, remember?) At the university they have two heavily funded departments dedicated to supporting undocumented students and getting them scholarships, grants, financial aid, etc... without any requirements or questions asked, no need to get documented in the slightest bit. I'm just upset that I've always gone the straight and narrow, yet I see others get rewarded for not doing that. I had a 4.0, yet only ever got one $1,500 scholarship! I just don't get it :(

Today I'm going to try and clean up around the house, and get some stuff done for Thanksgiving (like making the pie dough.) Speaking of which -- Jeff texted me that he has the turkey but didn't walk in with it when he got home. Uh oh.

Right now I'm waiting to go to bed -- I forgot to put the sheets in the dryer, so I have about another 40 minutes.

Personals!

Chris -- Ewwwwwww!!! I hate steam cleaning carpets!!! I hope you survived!!

ME -- Mmm Panera!!! I'm glad you were able to take the break, I totally know how you feel! Teaching took so much out of me, even just doing reading tutoring.

Krista -- I hope you had a great sick day at home!!!! I hope you feel better, being sick sucks -- but I'm totally evening your alone time. I've reached my breaking point on not having enough alone time.

Kat -- Did you get the photos done? I hope you got scrapping in -- that's a lot for one day!

Trudy -- how is your jaw??? are you able to eat yet??? Send some snow my way! We don't get snow at home, but Jeff does at work. They haven't had any yet this year, nor up the road at Yosemite!

Linda -- I hope you survived your day & regained some energy!!

Laurie -- Sheesh! I'm with you on sitting on a log eating butter! My husband's mom's sister's husband's family all have the same heart problem, before their generation none of the men lived past 40. They all have stints now, medical advances! Just keep yourself monitored, you're making great strides at staying healthy!!

Clara -- You are such an inspiration for me :) I never would of thought to write those letters, I'm so glad it worked for you!!!! I'm so thankful that you're open and honest about everything, so we can all learn!!! Also, I totally wish you were in California so I could open up that coffee shop with you -- Jeff told me this morning after I did my baking that I need to open a coffee shop! It's always been a little dream of mine to have a crafting shop combined with a coffee shop, like Ellen had a bookstore combined with coffee in her sitcom.

--- OK!!! Time to sign off for now... I'm ready to pass out, I hope the sheets are drying quicker than usual :( ---

Meg....Glad to see you in a good mood sweetie..and yes....you have realized why we all love the Daily O's so much and why we always come back here!!! So glad you are here too sweetie   My daughter and I both can feel your pain about the money and the school issues....Sharon went to a private college, and that AIN'T CHEAP!!! She did do school loans, but what was so crappy, she had a 3.8 gpa in HS with taking all the Avanced classes to prepare...so proud of her for this....and she only got about $2000 in scholarship money (and at $20k per year...that is just a drop in the bucket)....but her college roomate took all general classes ..... and had a 4.0 average and it only ended up costing her $2000 per year after scholarship money.....THAT SUCKS!!! She breezed through HS and got it all paid for.
I hope that turkey is somewhere on ice!!!!!

I went to bed early again last night...my body is so achy!!! Can't shake it!!! But I woke up at 4 am....so I got up....I am going to be cleaning my carpets this morning....actually I will get started here in a just a little bit...I want to have it done by the time the kiddos get here so I can leave...We will go to my Mom's today.

If you ladies want to exchange Christmas cards....see this thread:

Clara....I hope you have a great trip today...and I will see you this afternoon!! You will definately love Monticello....it's BEAUTIFUL!!!

Laurie...stop beating yourself up!!! You do a fabulous job at trying to stay healthy!! WAY BETTER THAN ME!!!! You can not worry over things that way...you just do the best you can, and you know somethings are not avoidable!!!! NANA ORDER...NO STRESSING OVER IT...and oh yeah, don't eat the stick of butter!! :hurt:

Meg...I need to borrow you this week...you are cooking up a storm every day!!!!! I have NO motivation for cooking right now!!! IT SUCKS TOO...because I usually have so much of it started by now!!!

Trudy....my sis....we have had a few frosty mornings too....our lows at night have been in the 30's every night lately, but we are still having some days up in the upper 60's....not yesterday though...it was pretty cool all day.

Kat....Oh I am way behind on processing photos!!! and I hate it....I end up scrapping a page and processing them ONE AT TIME...that is time consuming when you are trying to be creative!!!!

Krista....HOT BATH sounds AWESOME!!!! hope you are feeling better!!! and YAY for the alone time..that probably helped!!!!!

ME....who won the battle of the remote???? That is funny...Mike and I never fuss over it.....It's just whoever picks it up first....we mostly like the same stuff....just on occasion I will want a lifetime movie or he will want to watch his taped hunting shows....no biggie...if he gets it first, then I end up in my computer and never pay any attention to what is on the TV and same for him. Panera sounds good!! YUM...have not been there in a while!

Chris....hope you got your MIL's carpets done...and I doing mine today...UUUGGHHH!! We will all have some clean floors, huh??? Do you feel okay today??

Okay...I am off...need to get moving this furniture....DID I REALLY JUST SAY THAT AT 5:30 in the morning????? UUUGGGHHHH!!!

Super de duper quick for right now.

I woke up extremely cranky again this morning, but then I got an email and phone call that made me very happy. As soon as I can give full disclosure I will!

TGIF, TGFC!!!

looking for paper crafts/ hybrid projects. Does anyone have any good sites to find free downloads? We want to make Christmas gifts for the teachers. We've kinda neglected that until this year.

Morning, just a real quick pop in to say hello. I haven't been on much this week. I have a huge (very hard) exam on the brain Monday. i just can't get the information. Some reason it won't stick.

Great news I am now part of a CT for Dana's Footprint designs over at (*gasp* a different site!) Digiridoo scraps! I am so excited to start this next step in scrapping!

Clara: I hate to hear that things are so tough with you. Homeschooling is new for both you and Ethan. You 2 will find your niche eventually. --Doctors can be a real pain in the you know what sometimes. I missed something about the letters? I went back 3 days to figure out what you were talking about and I can't seem to find it. So very confused.

So I am off to finally study. I have to turn this off and go into another room so I am not distracted!

~slipping Chris the vodka bottle to help her not be so cranky~

Okay Chris...I am trying to figure out how to get you out of a cranky mood

Katrina....CONGRATS on getting on a CT!!! Awesome news!!!

I am done with the carpets and WORN OUT!!! good grief...I was too tired to even leave the house....I brought some toys down to the den and have the kids down here....I did not do the bedrooms, so I can carry them up at naptime...I will get my shower and then when they wake up I am leaving....

Poor Savannah....I just fed her breakfast this morning on the move...no highchair...so she was just running around and I was poking the fork in her mouth while she was playing!! HAHAHA!!!

OH WOW!!! I am going to need some advil now!!!!!

Good morning! Raise your hand if you're happy that it's Friday. Somehow, I just woke up feeling so much better this morning knowing that the weekend is nearly here!! Woot! Doing a happy dance!

Any fun plans for the weekend? I am catching up with a girlfriend for an early breakfast tomorrow morning and then decluttering the rest of the day. On Sunday, we are going to DH's cousin's house - one of his cousins is celebrating her confirmation and so there will be Miami relatives in town. Will be fun.

Meg - thanks for getting us started this morning. I share your pain about school debt. We are still paying off college loans, years later!

Linda - hope you are starting to feel better, my dear! Go, you, with the carpet cleaning! DH and I went separate ways for the tv - I watched upstairs and he watched down, and wouldn't you know, both of our teams lost!

Chris - yay, for happy news on the phone! :)

Katrina - Congrats on joining your first CT. They are so much fun. I miss being on all of the ones I used to be on - life got busy, but I am easing my way to being more active again in digi land. And I love being on Merkee's team. What a great bunch of ladies.

Love to you all!

TGIF ladies!! Quick :plane: for me too, late getting going for work this morning so gotta run, but know that I love you all and will post personals later tonight hopefully. Bad news about my jaw, but will share later.

 things just aren't going my way!!! It's time for me to really really find another store, I've kind of had it with how I've been treated & how some things are OK for the other designers and not me. The straw that broke the camel's back finally appeared.

Ugh.... off to go undo ten hours of my work from yesterday... & then apply around to a new home for my stuff. I was hoping to stay at FS through the rest of the year and leave on a good note, but now I just want out.
